Where, oh where, can I find a copy of this CD? These Paul Williams/Roger Nichols demos are absolutely delightful!! Wonderful to hear them sung by the composer in a pure, simple fashion.
I listen to this song all the time. This is my favorite version. Paul Williams is such a wonderful songwriter, and his unique style blended well with Roger Nichols' folk sensibility. My wife hates this song because the slightly off-key piano thrum makes her think of a serial killer (a la Psycho), but I think it gives the tune a haunting, ethereal quality.
Paul Williams ia amazing! He also saved my life!
Indeed!
Mine too.

Hmmm this might be my fav version now as well!Just hearing it
I definitely need some help if I'm wanting to animate this murder scene... hmmm
I actually really love the Monkees version!
Isn't the song recorded too slow? His voice doesn't sound like this and it should be faster.
