I have a large pot like that. I took the plastic off last week & it is covered in carrots. I have never grown carrots & we, (my bunnies & I) are hoping they do well.🤩

Nice! My carrot seeds just broke thru soil yesterday 👍🏻 I’m doing a “root” garden with radishes, beets and carrots alongside onion starts. What a delight to see spring growth! (And yes, Vego bed! another one growing just salad greens). Those will be some happy 🐇🐇 bunnies with carrot tops.

I grew all my carrots in my Greenstalk last year and it was perfect.

Just a suggestion, I know you both have mentioned low views on the Pecan Grove channel. I think your logo has something to do with that. It's very hard to see it, it blends in with the back ground. I think if you colored in your logo with the same colors, as your Deep South channel, orange, green, and black, It would be more recognizable. I am subscribed to both channels, but the only reason I notice the Pecan Grove videos, is because Danny is usually on the thumbnail. Sorry for the rambling, just thought I would mention it. Love all of your content.😊

those carrots look good to eat - straight, crooked, curved and the green tops too (i cook a bit in my rice - mmm, mmm good).
i grow everything in raised beds, grow bags, buckets, planter pots, gallon jugs and even small water bottles (flowers, herbs).
i dont understand the polarizing controversy with electroculture. it's one thing to not like something but i have seen some extremely negative videos on the topic. copper wound around bamboo rods has worked for me, so i continue to use them. if it didn't work, i just wouldn't use it. no need to bash the technique or the people who have positive results. we all have more important things to do. please continue to show us your abundant harvests in your electroculture spaces. have a blessed day.
I plant carrots in my containers up by the greenhouse everywhere and potatoes. I have 10 raised beds to plant in also.

Looking good! Mother loves carrots and I want to grow some for her this year. Waiting for my soil sample results to arrive and then I’ll plant some.
I bought huge carrots from a grocery store once and cut them off and dehydrated. Then took the remainder of those root at the top and replanted it back in it's spot. Months later I went and pulled it out again, and the carrot had added a bunch more root at the bottom again. I pulled it again and cut off that new growth and ate that carrot again. The top part of the root doesn't look pretty at all, but I can still get food off the existing plant.
I enjoy carrots alot so this year I will try some in pots.

We once planted carrots in a 5’ x16’ raised bed that grew cherry tomatoes the year before. Emerging tomatoes look like emerging carrots. We had to let the tomatoes get to 5” or 6” tall to easily tell them from carrots. It took 2 or 3 hours and we nearly filled 2-5 gallon buckets with tomato plants. A planting mistake we will not forget. Duane
Tomatoes and carrots grow well together.

I have some in containers and some in the raised bed. Both look pretty good but we’ll see how big when pulled!😊❤🙏🏻✨
You can eat the tops of the carrots too .. dry then use in soups very nutritious❤

That pot looks like the same depth as the 40-gallon Rubbermaid troughs that I have grown really nice carrots in before. There's something about this specific size I think that is really good for carrots. Maybe just because it felt manageable. Thinning a whole big row or large patch in the ground is miserable. But working on a container this size especially when it is up higher is doable. I always tell myself just work on it for 15 or 20 minutes and come back to it. Before you know it, it's done. It has to get done if you want any good carrots at all.

I grew mine in a raised bed and planted them thick like you did. We’ve gotten 2 big harvests from them and I still have one to go. I’m hoping to pull what I have left this week because I have tomatoes that need that box. Our chickens get the greens and the tiny carrots. Overall, I am very happy with what we grew. Freeze got ours also. God Bless!
You can plant tomatoes in the carrots helps repel insects and improves the taste.

Good video. My carrots here in Florida are small and covered in hairs. I guess that cold weather didn't help them at all but will keep trying

I always see those Swallow Worms on my carrots? A real pretty worm that grows into a butterfly? Anyways, I never kill them, I just brush them away.
They will get your dill and parsley too. Happens every year. Carrot tops are a good substitute for Parsley. I guess that is why the butterfly worms come after them.
I don't bash electroculture i use it every year with great results.

Danny, all my orange carrots did that. Not all, but, most. The ones that so far have done really well are the blackish purple ones. I think they were nebulas?? They did great!! Even with the two very hard freezes we had. It's weird. Some of them I put in a pot roast in the crock pot. They turned everything purple. The potatoes and onions turned purple too. It was interesting eating. LOL But, very tasty.
I had three tubs of carrots that got frozen and one is beginning to look like that one, but the others are a bit behind it.

My carrots were about 1 inch long last year.
My carrots did that also and when I planted in tubs was my best.
I sowed some carrots for the first time last week. It may have been a little late, but I wanted to try. I will try again in the fall. I sowed them in a washtub. We'll see what happens.

I find thinning carrots to be tedious. So this year, in one of the pots, I carefully planted each seed a good distance from each other. Well wouldnt you know, those carrots are growing at half the rate of the pot I just carelessly threw them in. Guess I’ll be thinning anyway.

I cannot grow carrots or radishes. Just the greens.
The hair roots mean they lack water.
They come on if they begin to get to old. I've been doing this for over thirty years.

Not really carrot maggots will.
@@pecangrovems I wonder how I can get rid of the wire worms? I think they came in either Irish, or sweet potatoes. They’re click beetle larvae, but they prevent me from growing potatoes, or something similar.

Better to sow seed in the garden….
Carrots for me is a combination of fine soil and the right moisture. Not something I plant every year
