Order yours here: store.synner.com
Available as a 6-string or 7-string set, these unique custom strings were co-developed with Synyster Gates to his exacting specifications. Watch as Synyster Gates sits down with Brian Ball to discuss the creative process behind making music in the evolving scene, co-developing these new signature strings sets, and their friendship over the past 20 years.
Highlighting a unique combination of Ernie Ball’s exclusive features, these sets include ultra-high-strength steel used for the plain strings and core wire, along with patented RPS technology. This in conjunction with a stainless steel wrap wire used on the wound strings, provides a bright, aggressive sound with added strength and tuning stability for a modern voice that is built to perform.
Ernie Ball Synyster Gates Signature Guitar strings feature a never-before-offered combination of alloys and a never-before-offered 7-string gauge combination. Synyster worked alongside the Ernie Ball string development team to create a unique 7-string set that is optimized for live performance of the single, “Nobody”, from the band’s latest album, Life Is But a Dream…, live on tour.

One of the most underrated guitarists from the last 15 years
Is he underrated?
underated?
@@rodrigofagundes6126he’s arguably one of the greatest guitarist of all time yet I never hear anybody mention him when talking about the greatest guitarist
@@yeeheestoner223true, you hear Jimmy page, Hendrix, Kirk hammett and Eddie Van halen mentioned everywhere yet synyster has always been the most consistent, unique and innovative
@@mrseaweed88exactly and consistent is a big one, i love kirk but seeing them live hurt's my soul, but avenged syn don't miss a note
One of the best guitarists of ALL TIME. Very talented musician. Happy and proud to be his big fan from the beginning.
For once I agree with someone. Best modern day guitarist
He is also one of my favorites as well! WE ALL HAIL SYNYSTER GATES!
When Syn was talking about the warped tour and the flyers it reminded of something. I was at the warped tour in Quebec City in 2003 and my friend and I spent a lit of the time at the a7x booth. Long story short we ended helping them passing flyers around they gave us a bunch of them we were so fucking pumped. My friend just atarted tunning like a mad man to tell people to go see the show that was starting in like an hour or something like that. I got to meet the band after and still have the poster they signed for me. I will remember this all my life, a7x foREVer.
Syn is a genius. A damn good pianist too
So technically capable and musically savvy with his guitar. Such an incredible musician, very underrated.
He’s not underrated. He’s rated where he lays on the hierarchy
He's not underrated at all dude, a lot of people say "he's really good but he's not my cup of tea". I myself love players such as him and Andy James who are fast/melodic. Out of all my music oriented friends all of them know who he is they're just not head over heels for him like I am. I love his play style personally.
Only technically? Like how a tomato is technically a fruit
He's not really doing anything he hasn't already done. Gotta stay innovative
@@michaelpacinus242 no as in hes technical with his guitar
I was never into A7X only knew the hits but their single “Nobody” absolutely blew me away and now LIBAD is one of my favorite albums of 2023. Syn f’n shreds that’s for sure. New fan 🤘🏻
Welcome to the family 🖤
Welcome to the family!
Welcome to the family !
SAME HERE!
The only album in ages I just wanna put track 1 and play the rest
Need the instrumental to LIBAD now!!! All of those layers are so good.
Breakdown series would be epic too
@@DannyTOG for the love of G(O)D yes. This album is a fucking journey to say the least. Brilliant
We have all the stems from Cosmic now which is pretty cool
That was so well put together. The soundtrack was amazing. Syn is such a great musical inspiration. Ernie Ball for life!!!
LIBAD… is a 10/10 album, I don’t care what anyone says. Watch in a couple years a lot of their fans are gonna come around to it. This feels like its their “Yeezus” album in their catalogue.
Love the alternate mixes of songs like Cosmic in the backing, and that desert is phenomenal. Also, anyone else notice the Syn branded amp between the Brians? Hmmm.
He’s working on a signature amp and distortion pedal, due to supply chain issues and him trying to keep it a somewhat reasonable price without coping out on anything, he has no idea when it’ll be out if ever. This is info given to me by one of the people who help him run his store and school online
@@glen_gorblin6969he already made a signature amp called the hellwin that no normal person will ever afford to buy it was an incredibly stupid thing to price it so high it's not a surprise it's discontinued.
Massive fan of Brian and his guitar playing. Initially thought this video was really cool, well edited etc and then it ended with little to no information about the strings 😂 they were absolutely making it out like they were about to get into the details of it before a black screen appears with nothing more than the gauges lol surely I’m not the only one that wanted to know the deets
I literally clicked on the video without reading the title and when it ended I was like ''wait, was this supposed to be about the strings? '' hahahaha
@@andressteffens me to mate haha cool
Video but I think they missed the point lol
Agreed
Exactly! I think it didn’t send a great message either showing Ball’s house. Don’t get me wrong, I use EB strings and play a Music Man. But when you see how much they are then watch this video one can’t help wonder where all that $ really went? I’m not quite there mentally but I guarantee you many who can’t afford their guitars were like wtf?!!
@@michaelsnydermusic Brains set is $12, but it's just a set of $6 skinny top heavy bottom 10-52s. Brains a ripper but I'm immune to marketing. Hope that Amp is a sneek peek though. Signature practice combo would be nice!
Thank you so much for this wonderful video and interview with Syn 💖🎸🤘
Wow the soundtrack in this! This band is the reason that I write music today. You rock Syn!
I also love Avenged Sevenfold/A7X too
This is by far one of the most beautiful things that I have ever seen. Growing up a huge fan of both Avenged Sevenfold and Ernie Ball and then becoming OBSESSED with using Ernie Ball Strings and just Synyster Gates guitar playing style overall just... I could sit and watch a movie just about how get just interacts with the business and just wherever he goes it is just always constant and genuine love and appreciation for everything that is around him. That life is becoming mine and it is so beautiful to see the heights that are attainable.
So Stoked! A7X is hands down my favorite band. My husband works for the company that makes their strings. He set up the machines to make their custom strings! So cool!!!
Syn gates is a marvel of our time
Band is so crazy good...somehow just discovered them in 2023.
If you are new to Avenged Sevenfold (A7X), you should listen to their first 4 albums as well
Never too late to discover masterpieces my friend
lol i have been listening to them since 2005
Since '06. Amazing band!
was on the warped tour in 05 was such a great tour, the most fun ever, miss the warped tour.
Brilliant musician - never disappoints, always awes!!!❤
Days like this come as days go, and all that you love just as soon as goodbyes.
Been a fan since a friend recommended them back in 2009 and always will be
Love love Syn and his guitar playing. He got me into guitar in the first place (side note, I think the metallic house was the same one Shinedown used in Planet Zero)
love this Guy, synyster will always be a guitar inspiration for all of us ❤
I really hope Syn and zacky experiment more with 7 strings in the future. That "Nobody" riff is crazy and would love to see what else they could use 7 strings for
This is amazing ! Well deserved
Synyster Gates will always be my all time favorite guitarist!! 🐐
Been here since the beginning... that cosmic solo might be the best I've ever heard
Incredibly talented musician, and such a humble man.
Beautiful video and talk. First thing i watched today when waking up👌
Synyster is a virtuoso of the young generation of metal guitarists and a great man who is 100% himself and who radiates positive energy.
Synyster Gates is one of my favorite guitarist ever!
Istg this version of the Cosmic solo in the intro to this video is the most beautiful guitar bit i have ever heard
Such an underrated guitar player. One of my all time favorite🤘🏼
Love that Parker guitar.
He used it around the first time he joined A7X until he got a Gibson Les Paul i think
I am so in love with this album. So glad I went to their concert on 6/9/23
whenever I listen to their "Life is But a Dream" album I fucken get chills, body chills I am not kidding! it can be 100 or 95 degrees, outside and I get fucken chills when listening to every single song 🥰🥲
been a fan since 2007 AHHHH I love A7X
Yall did soo great I can't stop listening and singing with the album its soo good thank you A7X😍
Critical acclaim is your best song though. Even though it’s an a… played forever.. favourite song so far for me and blast it in the SRT is We love you and cosmic. Awesome work and artistry SYN! Tell Matt, Johnny Zack, obviously you and Brooks we’ll done. Listened to the album on the plane 10 times and while on standby flying from Virginia to Utah!!! Rock on! Don’t leave may comments but you guys deserve it.
Already bought me a pack, cant wait
Yeah, enjoy the new packaging and same EB Slinky strings😅
@@aek4018 🤡
Gates in that Black Escalade 🔥🔥🔥
Syn never get old🤘
This video is insanely good! F*cking great story telling.
I like how they tucked the 7 string pack in the back…wonder when we’ll see the headless 7 string for sale
I love Ernie ball strings.
Definitely buying two packs of those
Focus on the next level sound. It’s great on a good system. Good job guys. Love it. Been a fan from awakening the fallen. Heard sounding the 7th trumpet before, digged it but at the time was too loud. Sounds awesome now though! BTW I DiD not bootleg any of their music before I eventually bought it all 😉
A window washers paradise ✨️
That was really cool.
See you tomorrow syn!
I love you Brother Syinster Gates ☺️♥️🎸🔥🤘
Amazing!!
I need that Syn combo amp
my teenage guitar hero
❤ It's so cool 😎. Sting's guitar 🎸 is lovely.
Your guitar 🎸🎶 is amazing.when I heard I thought Sting.Why I don't know...
Actually one of Syn's guitar, Schecter Synyster Custom in Dark Night
So... are we getting any type of info on the strings?
Finally!!!!
Will there be a string demo?
we need a full version of cosmic like this
Omg my toxic sweat can burn through the same strings in a week as syn gates
Stainless wrap on the wound strings, you might get a little longer from them then nickel wound.
Wash your hands before playing, wipe your strings after every session, put it in the case immediately. Boom now you have strings that will last months!
A bit of FastFret can help
I'd still recommend getting like a set of regular slinkys (if they're cheaper) especially if you have nickel frets because stainless steel will damage them and it's better to change frequently than getting a longer lasting set because it will still be gross when sweat accumulates for a longer time
@@Childofbhaalactually does work well
Parker Night Fly! Cool!
Cosmic is so awesome 😍 Syn is an awesome guitarist 💕💕❤
Syn has been my favorite guitarist for a long time. Still remember when Jimmy died. Can’t believe it’s been so long. Kind of miss his old hair style lol
What is that white amplifier?
Damn this is cool Syn is to me like Dimebag is to him definitely gonna snag me a few sets
I want a isolated version of the instrumental that starts playing at 11:23
Hail to the king - Gates❤️
WE ALL HAIL SYNYSTER GATES!
The Greatest Soulfull Guitarist all of time🔥
The way this vid started, I thought it was a car commercial.
Can't wait to pick up a few packs of these! Whats that amp?
synyster gstes is one of the best guitar players ever. like dude is the living example of hail to the king. all hail to synyster gates (the king)
Best guitarist of all time he does it all. Literally any type of other guitar playing he can do plus how he plays which I haven’t seen anyone else do yet. If u think otherwise I’m more then happy to debate. And I play the guitar 6 hours a day Ik the instrument inside and out. Plus I blow off other guitarist too so for me to say this goes a long way
Awesome conversation & collaboration!
We need an LIBAD Instrumental too!
*Awesome video too!
the colour grading reminds me of MCR's danger days
Ok I want a MusicMan Gates ❤
Syns pretty cool tbh
Ernie Ball rules!
Bummer - this was too short for something so interesting and cinematic!
What's the name of the song at the end?
cool video
Nice!!
I'm curious about the decision making process for those string gauges. In the 7 string set, the 4th - 6th strings are lighter gauge than in the 6 string set. I wonder why? I could see the rationale behind the 6th string being that he plays drop D on a 6 and drop A on a 7, resulting in the 6th being standard E and needing something less heavy. But the other two strings?
His 7 string probably has a longer scale length than his 6, which would mean lighter strings for correct tension
@GreenDay8510 true, but as it's not a multiscale, those top three strings will be tighter than on his six
@@KarzGuitar doesn’t have to be a multi scale for that, could be a 26-26.5” and not too tight for 10’s
You can compensate for longer scale lengths with custom string gauges, unless you're using a Tru temperament fret system, you won't actually be properly intonated anyways. Fanned fret or extended scaled lengths do not resolve intonation.
@@GreenDay8510 His 7-string were actually 25.5 as well
Syn is my GOAT
High strength? Ima need to try those!
C
My chords 3 and 4 break so much
Why is nothing said about the house? Ive seen Enez Yilmazer tour this. Does Ball live there?
The new album is fantastic, I hope u can heal that leg well ❤
lil gates, great guitar player!
How are his new strings any different from the existing 10-52 set EB makes? The gauges are the exact same
Marketing purposes
My man 🤛🏻
That's dope Ric Flair got his own signature set mane.
Synyster gates best of the best 🎸
the only critique i have for new album is that guitar is not mixed forward enough, and i miss the old unique a7x tone
I'm interested to know the exact differences between these and Skinny top heavy bottoms. That's what he has been said to play for a while so that's why I've always played them. They are the same gauges on the 6 string set so, I wonder.
Where is this filmed?
Such an epic video to sell a standard 10-52 set of string with his design on the bag which I’ll throw away.
Way to stay positive my man. 😂😂😂👍
Yeah they are just strings, just silly to get worked up over a pack of strings when they only play a small percentage in the overall part of your sound. Find a brand you like and go with it. Most of your tone comes from your amp and speaker cab that is something you should worry more about than a pack of strings.
@watcherzero000 strings play a huge role in tone If you're really a guitarist.
Deff midsommar vibes in this
Did anyone else realize the intro music is a remixed version of Cosmic? Cause I feel like people aren't talking about it enough
Well after looking for specs of the strings since none are shown in the video. Now i see why, Basically the exact same set as the skinny top heavy bottom orange pack of ernie ball.
Where and what is this location they shot this? - realizing I did catch Joshua Tree. Pretty impressive structure.
Its called "The Invisible House"
I never realized how important it was to dial the distortion back on my amp until both Brian and Brad delson of linkin park pointed it out. I used to run my gain knob set to max because thats just what i thought one did with playing rock music, nope try dialing it back and letting that note through to breathe a bit. See how it works out for you.
Anyone knows what location is? The company headquarters? Or Synester home? Is awesome!
It's Brian Ball's house in Joshua Tree
gitaris favorit sing.. salam dari indonesia bro
But what about that amp. that's got his symbol on it and i cant find anything on it and it doesn't look like a hellwin.
