I love this band, and I couldn't find this song anywhere, so I went and bought the album :). here is the first track, "Autistic" by tripod.
Gatesy: 1, 2, 3, 4!
Tripod: Now our gardens grown
Yon: Took so may years
We worked so hard now were here
Tripod: We have grown so strong
I could say anything to you right now
Yon: And it wouldnt change a thing
Tripod: I, I, I get the feeling you might be
Autistic
Just a little bit,
Just a little tiny bit, yeah
Oh-oh autistic
Tripod: The way that you speak,
Scod: The things that you do
Make me think
That you dont quite connect
With the outside world
Tripod: Its something that you wouldnt even notice
Scod: If you didnt know you well
Tripod: But you and I have been in love so long
Scod: I know that I can tell you
Youre my beautiful,
Slightly autistic girl
Tripod: When you look at me,
Gatesy: Do you see a man?
Or just a stack of cylinders?
Tripod: Just a bunch of shapes
Tripod: When people talk,
Gatesy: Do you just watch their lips?
And enjoy the patterns
Tripod: I, I, I get the feeling you might be
Autistic
Just a little bit,
Just a little tiny bit, yeah
Oh-oh autistic
Tripod: Its such a relief
Scod: I can finally say
And I know you know I love you
So you wont take it the wrong way
Gatesy and Yon: Autistic, autistic
Scod: Oh-oh autistic, oh-oh autistic
Tripod: Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh girl!
Yon: Autistic guitar solo!
(Scod does really fast fretwork on the high strings but just plays the A string out of time. When he finishes he does the classic rock hand gesture and gazes at it and slowly puts different fingers up and down with an amazed look on his face)
Yon: Ah
Scod: Ah
Gatesy: Ah
Scod: Its cause our loves so true
I can say this to you
Gatesy: You should be thanking me
For my honesty
Yon: Where every wound has been
There grows a stronger flap of skin
Tripod: I think weve reached a higher place
Yon: Now Im
Tripod: Looking at your face
Yon: Its slightly big
Tripod: I, I, I
Wonder if you have a bit of
Downs Syndrome
Just a little bit,
Im just thinking out loud here
Downs Syndrome!
Tripod: The size of your face,
The space between your eyes
Your ruddy cheeks
And total trust of strangers
Scod: In the outside world
Tripod: Its something that you wouldnt even notice
Scod: If you didnt know you well
Tripod: But you and I have been in love so long
Scod: I know that I can tell you
Youre my beautiful
Gatesy: Such a special girl
Scod: Youre my beautiful
Gatesy: Slightly special girl
Scod: Youre my beautiful
Tripod: Why are you angry, girl?
Gatesy: Oh, its good to see ya Friday night crowd
Scod: Nice one
I'm autistic and I love this song. I was bummed when I tried to find it on Spotify and couldn't.
I know this song is supposed to be funny, but the harmony is amazing.
I need some guitar tabs on that solo. It was insane.
It's actually a beautifully crafted song
Watching this years later, after getting my diagnosis, I know now why I squirmed in my seat seeing this show.
So bummed it’s not on Spotify anymore. How I am supposed to binge Tripod now?
Why isn’t in spotify anymore btw?
I'm rofling at the autistic guitar solo. I have autism and i find this to be true.
I am "a little bit autistic" myself (Asperger's) and my fiance showed me this video. Thought I would die laughing.
I'm also slightly autistic and so is my girlfriend....so I'm gonna learn to play this. And then play it in front of her family cause she'll think it's funny. They'll be butthurt.
I'm autistic, and found this song hilarious.
I don't know about others but I chuckle because it kind of does describes me and one of my sons. A little, just a small little way, that like if you didn't know us well you wouldn't even notice.
This is the only one recorded, all of their songs are recorded live.
just the song its self like just the voices with totally disregarding the lyrics is great
ima buy the cd sooner or later - every single song on the album makes me LOL
Love all around for this song.
Anyone know why this was removed from Apple Music? Seems like album lost a few songs for seemingly no reason.
I came here because I think my beautiful girlfriend I adore and love might be autistic.
Amazing song, I wish the guitar melodies were in a real song and not just this comedy music song. The guitar parts are beautiful :3
The full album of "Songs From Self-Saucing" is on Amazon Streaming - except for the song AUSTISC. Sounds like it may be the same on Spotify. Was it a band decision to cut the song from the album? Maybe it's just not worth the pain and agony caused by going against the folks at N.I.C.E.
Wow it's even removed from the Bandcamp version that you could have already purchased/owned. Years ago on their podcast they said they intentionally didn't include it in their 101 Tripod Hits book or play it live anymore which I can understand, but I'm very surprised they/someone would try to erase the history of it being on the album.
fav. song from tripod
Here's the tab. It took me a few hours to get it correct, so please give me credit if you copy and paste. Do you want tablature for the entire song as well?

I don't get the "stronger flap of skin" part.
Ok, makes sense. Thanks for responding.
i have autism and i approve this message :P
why they take it off spotify?
Does anyone know a higher quality link?
Did tripod make the song about the seamen on the floor and seamen in her hair and seaman everywhere?
I think you are thinking of Strudel Juice by Pornland
It was captains wife's lement
@tpedone23 Same. Made a comedy channel, they came up.
Oh god, I lol'd.
All these comments against netscapepizza, I have one thing to say. Don't feed the trolls.
I think this song describes how my boyfriend feels about me.
Even if this song offends autistic and Down syndrome people... I love the tune :P
@tpedone23 So did I lol
Disappointed in them for mocking the autistic. I'm autistic and would prefer to not have more misinformation out there. And yet I still love them. Dangit.
That's the point of the song. The guy in the song is working with stereotypes and generally being insensitive. The song is more poking fun at the guy than at autism.
I have autism and this song is hilarious.
