There are also families that are so scattered that everyone can only meet at Christmas. It's less about food and gifts than about being together. I haven't been able to spend Christmas with my family for several years. It hurts and the holidays are a bad time for me. But that is nothing compared to the content of this sad song. So you shouldn't complain and always be aware that everything is finite and you never know what life will bring. So everyone enjoy the holidays with your loved ones. I wish everyone a peaceful and harmonious Christmas.

My son suffered through Christmas with cancer. He passed away on February 8th of that year..almost three years 😢 but I miss him everyday 😢

They did a good job but this version doesn't bring the same emotional power for me.

This song had been out for a few years and I'd never heard it.
Mom had just died of cancer(it's been 13 years now)just a week or so earlier.
I pulled into the Walmart parking lot when it came on I ugly cried for what seemed like forever.

I don't want to think about Christmas... my tree is up and not decorated... I am so so so sad, and Christmas feels like hell this year ... We lost dad in March after covid twice 😢
