Great vid. The write up on ozvr4 I went by when doing this last called for loosening engine mounts and tilting the motor, this seems heaps easier though.
In case anyone is doing this on a UK spec Mk8 Galant sport V6 with 6A13 engine, I don't know if the alternator is a bit bigger compared to this vid but it WILL NOT come out without removing the middle timing belt cover, so you will additionally need to remove the power steering/ac belt, crank pulley and timing belt covers to get the alternator out. I know this as I have spent the last 2 hours trying to do it, and it definitely would not come out !! It's no big deal, just a word of warning and to save the next guy struggling for 2 hours like me 😁😁
I can confirm that this is the case, I also live in the UK and own a 6A13 engine Galant V6 Sport. Good thing I was planning on changing the timing belt and tensioner anyway 😅
QuickJacks mate. I spend so much time under this thing I got sick of putting it on jack stands. There's some off-brand quickjack setups now too so you can save a bit of coin.
Kaldek, probably the best how-to video ever. Sound, video perfect.
Done this several times on my various VR4's during the years and indeed, this is the least troublesome method. Good vid!
I recently did the same procedure, took two hours)
Legend, keep posting for sure

Excellent vid mate, nicely filmed!!! Cheers for posting this how to.
For the sake of a few extra bolts removing the alt bracket is a no brainer.
Another good vid bro.

GREAT VIDEO ONLY PROBLEM IS YOU ONLY TOOK A PHOTO OF THE ANGLE OF IT COMING OUT YOU SHOULD HAVE THE VIDEO GOING IN OR OUT ATLEAST
Yeah TBH I'm not a very good camera man.
Hope I never have to do this 😂
Does anyone have a Mitsu part # for the galant/legnum vr4 alternator
Hey man what kind of lift are you using for the car?
