Y 49 Honda CRX Restoration

- An All original (as far as I can tell so far) 1988 Y-49 Honda CRX Si
The Cursed Honda CRX.
This will need a full restoration, but it's almost all factory original. It will need new rear quarter panels and a full paint job as this isn't the original Y-49 Yellow.

I'm thinking this one is in a lot better condition than the last one I showed everyone. Let me know what you think about this one as a full factory rebuild? Are you a fan of the Y-49 pain color?

This one looks a lot more original than the other one. Yellow is a tough colour now lead in paint is banned. I don't like yellow but maybe a porsche colour would do well.
It is a pretty rare color, so I think I would be in trouble to paint it any other color than factory correct Y-49 yellow. The black car I'll do something cool with in terms of paint.
@Research Design Build so you're planning to rebuild both? I agree on the paint though overall. Especially if you're going for original like.
@@EnglishCharlie I'm thinking the Yellow one I we restore to stock, and the black one will go more race car that happens to also have license plates. Something to take autocross racing and to the drag strip every now and again. And for those fast trips to Costco.
US got glass lights...The ZC 1 bulb headlights were plastic
OK cool good to know. Aren't there some of the lights that the Euro spec cars were glass? Corners or Rears maybe? I thought there was something that?
@@ResearchDesignBuild only thing lights wise that would be glass or plastic are the headlights all other lights are plastic
Get rid of the black stripes
Oh Don't worry those will be gone for sure. They are actually painted on. If it was just Vinyl I would have already pealed it off.
