I really hope that it will happen. Yoshi is one of my favorite Mario characters and he would be a great character to meet at Super Nintendo world. Hopefully Nintendo & universal aren’t just teasing us
Really hope we can meet Yoshi. Specially since Hollywood has no Yoshi ride. Closest thing to Yoshi is in Mario's Karts pre-que to story. So a Yoshi meet and greet would be perfect

The song is actually incredible. The fact that they tied in both Rainbow Road AND the Pokemon Theme song into the No Limit song is ridiculous attention to detail.

Nice to finally see Pokemon at a theme park! Crazy it's taken this long.
Soon we will see more nintendo IP make it's way to universal along side mario and pokemon. Hell if we're lucky maybe they can have a smash bros event and possibly include other non nintendo characters like maybe sonic, pac-man, dragon quest hero, cloud, and sephiroth. The last 3 shouldn't be a problem for USJ since they along with square did partner up to feature final fastasy for a month a couple of years ago.

@@AutZentus Universal are definitely doubling down on their Nintendo IPs, but these theme parks still have a limit as to how much space they can take up. I wouldn't expect to be bombarded with new licenses in the future from them, I have a feeling that after the DK area there'll probably be one more Nintendo themed land and then that'll be it for the foreseeable future.

Here's one thing I noticed, each music theme for each of the floats seems to be a reference to when and how the franchises in the parade became popular.
Super Mario Kart was a pretty big moment for the Mario series but I’d hardly call it the moment the IP blew up in popularity, it is however fair to say Mario Kart is the biggest part of the series in sales especially.

I really hope this ends up in the US parks!! We never got to experience Pokemon in a theme park setting like Japan has, and it would be great to see US Universal have what seems like a real parade for once heh...
The Mario & Pokemon sections were EXCELLENT! And the song & dancers throughout the parade were great too! Idk, maybe Sesame Street & Charlie Brown are super popular in Japan, but I can't believe they outrank a number of Dreamworks movies.
Yeah, I mean, Shrek could've been the perfect franchise to represent the music style of the late 90s and early 2000s. Though, I understand only choosing the franchises we got for this parade because they actually have areas and rides in this theme park.
@Spyder Soup I can see the Sesame Street and Charlie Brown segments getting replaced by a SpongeBob and Shrek segment if the parade gets ported over to the US
@@bemiatto67 I don't know about SpongeBob as while in the late 2000s and early 2010s, I'd see that as most likely, but nowadays, Nickelodeon IPs are barely involved in the Universal theme parks. Maybe Madagascar?

With the success of Puss in Boots and an upcoming Shrek movie being likely, I can see them coming back to Universal soon honestly.

if they brought pokemon here in hollywood, there is sooooo many possibilities, especially knowing gen 9 with it being in like a school/college setting. if it’s a parade theme, they could easily incorporate a marching band playing the theme for the school in S/V.
I'm surprised they didn't have a second float with Obstagoon, Rillaboom, and the two Toxtricity forms playing music. It writes itself! 😂

I'd like to see how universal would incorporate pokemon attractions into the Japanese park. I'd recall reading that they were going to replace the kidzone area in the Orlando park with a pokemon themed land, but they scrapped that and ended up replacing it with the DreamWorks themed area we seem to be getting now. I wonder if universal is gonna bring back those ideas for the Japanese park
With the Amazing Spider-Man ride closing in January 2024, fans expect that a Detective Pikachu ride will be built there. Detective Pikachu would fit in well with the atmosphere of the New York Area

All that Pokemon segment needs is a bunch of really, really, REALLY good cosplayers as the various gym leaders, Elite Four members and champions. Just some more familiar faces

Then a second one with a Garchomp animatronic, a smaller Cyndaquil animatronic that remains stationary but it's quills light up, and a Treecko costumed character. The second large float could feature a giant Master Ball as it's centerpiece, an animatronic Dragonite, a costumed character as Mewtwo, and smaller Pokemon like Tyrunt, Mudkip, and Riolu surrounding it. There's so much potential with this parade. You can have cast members wearing Tyrantrum or Sceptile puppets like they do for the Velociraptors or multiple cast members forming an Onix puppet.
USJ seems to be the only place with above average love for gen 2

Hey everyone, sorry if I'm late to the party, but do you know what would be a cool idea to test out? 😀 I think it would be using these "No Limit!" Parade costumes of the Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Now Yoshi for the meet and greets both in Japan, and in Hollywood instead of the ones they're currently using. 🙂 Because the "No Limit!" parade costumes clearly have much more free movement throughout the bodies and including movement around the neck and waist areas, than the more stiff meet and greet costumes currently in use. 😉 What do you guys think? 😀
They have more free movement throughout the bodies BECAUSE these costumes will never interact with people. Meet and greet costumes need to be reinforced, or "stiff", because of the amount of people they need to interact with on a daily basis.
