How to Use your Mobile Phone as a Samsung TV Remote

- Hi, this video shows you how to control your Samsung TV via an Android Mobile Cell Phone and a iOS device (iPod Touch). The app used for the Android Phone is the Samsung Smart View App. The app used for the iOS device is MyTifi.
The phone needs to be connected to the same network as the TV so they need to be connected to the same router. In the video the TV has a wired connection back to the router and the phone/iPod has a Wireless connection.
The apps work well and in some instances like using the TV web browser the apps work better than the original remote control.

yea remotes from phones no longer works because modern TV got protection and ask you to confirm the android connection which you cant because you need to use the android phone to do any changes, but you cant do that because you must first allow it to be able to do changes, which you cant because you dont have access lol

The keyboard feature on the samsung app instantly makes up for any and all short comings
problem with my tv is that i have to press the 'ALLOW' popup on the tv for the app to work but its useless because i dont have a remote to 'Allow' otherwise i wouldnt be using this app lol

tv remote apps not working on newer tv because they require you to use the remote controller to give the app access and you can do that when your tv remote controller is broken

I kept hitting my controller, different angles etc and suddenly i got it working for a little while, enough for me to click accept on the wifi remote access and now ive been using my phone ever since for my tv

@@tterminitte the problem is that my new Samsung tv does not give the option to "accept" with the buttons provided. Only volume, channel and on/off buttons can be pressed with the one single button at yhe bottom of thr tv

It depends on what type of phone and TV you have. For example my TV All I needed to do was give it permission to connect to my android and it did.

What should you do if you completely lost remote and it asked you to accept the permission But you can’t and that’s needed to continue with the app
Often on the side or back of the TV there will be some basic buttons to let you change channel/volume/ok etc.
My Mate VINCE all my tv has is a single button on the bottom right but when I click it the ALLOW or DENIE disappears
