Done on a 2007-2008 Honda Fit, 5 speed automatic. Not a traditional service, hopefully your transmission doesn’t need this done! Any questions please leave below.
Excellent, short video. Very little info online, let alone video, of doing this. Thank you! I need to do this on my wife's 09 Fit. Drained and filled fluid twice. Replaced one pressure switch. Working much better now, but not quite. Threw a code for Trans Solenoid Valve B. I believe that is the one closest to the front of the car in the dual solenoid assembly.
Fantastic video! Mostly wanted to see how to access the wiring because I think a rat chewed mine. Anyway, thanks for posting this - I watch a lot of DIY car repair videos and for a homemade style video like yours, I'd say this is easily one of the best I've seen.
Hello am in Kenya I have Honda fit 2003 am having a similar problem. While driving first and second gear is not smooth it pushes the car back it's like a drag backwards then forward kindly advise
I just followed this tutorial, but put in new solenoid. Now won't shift into second gear. I cleaned the portion on my transmission mopping up the fluid. Do I need to prime it to make it work? Or do I habe a bad part?
If you put your fit in park and cannot turn the key all the way off? And disconnect the battery and then you can turn the key . And when you put the key in turn to On, but cannot put it in R N D and have to push the little tab at the gear shifter ? Notice that when out in park it doesn’t not unlock the door like normal, any idea what it would be ? Thank you
Can you explain more about the little filters when removing solenoid. ......Is the removing of the 5th gear/overdrive solenoid the same as for as removal... You mentioned a filter replacement & pressure switch at 0:12 on your video, where is the filter & pressure switch?.....Thanks........
mine is cvt fit ge6 year 2008, it has Little power going uphill in reverse, it is also slow to accelerate in drive, I scanned the code and got p0572 shift solenoid A stuck open, any ideas on how to fix it?
Bless you sir. I've been beating my head into a wall looking for hard shift and finding fuk all. Finally got back to the car with my code reader and found the P0756, and shortly after your blessed video. Can't find compressed air, more brake kleen on outside OK?
You can help me with the problem of disconnecting the gear while walking, brother, I don't know what the problem is with disconnecting the gear while on the road
My 2009 Honda Fit isn't shifting above 3000 RPM. And the early gears shift pretty rough. I took it a a local mechanic. I got the electronic code. It's claiming Solenoid A is bad. I bought a new one and will attempt to replace it this weekend. Will follow your instructions step by step. hoping I can do this myself.
Did your shifting improve after this fix? Regardless, thank you so much for making such an easy-to-follow video that should be a template for all other CZcamsrs to follow. Wish more were like yours.

@@howtofrank502 On my 2005 GLi Jazz it's a single unit same as this www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-diy-repair-maintenance/92591-cvt-gearbox-not-moving.html My Solenoids were okay on testing, housing was stuck good, had to tap it (gentle) with a hammer to break the existing gasket seal. BUT! I did find the 'pistons' / actuators in the unit, one of them moved freely and one was stuck. probably by being slightly to big and wouldn't move. I took it out and sanded it down a little and now it moves freely. However! Although the car engages reverse straight away, it didn't engage in D.S or L straight away. It was taking up to 20mins to 'warm up' and engage, but now it takes only about 5 minutes. I did an error code rest by connecting the + and - leads, and shorted pins 4 and 9 at the OBD II reader. Still seems to have forward engagement issue/s on first start of the day, once its been running it goes alright for the rest of the day.

Agreed on the filters, but from my understanding there isn’t a pressure switch for 1-2nd in the SP5A transmission. Only one for 2-3rd gear, been meaning to post that video as well!
