By far its the best video i have ever seen thank you doctorr ...it would be better if u uploaded these long sessions. and also is their a detailed criteria to answer the comparing question between slides??
Hi sir, just wanted to ask at 15:53 if the projections underneath the epidermis are inclusions as referred to in the mark schemes and if we are allowed to draw them because I am unsure if they are individual cells. Thanks.
HI! HOPE YOU SEE THIS; MY EXAM STARTS IN A FEW HOURS! At 31:55 the layer of cells between the vascular bundles has darker walls. Isn't this Collenchyma? If so, shouldn't we draw the layer? Also the tissue near the outside has much smaller cells than the tissue near the inside. So shouldn't we draw these as well? Thanks a bunch🙏🙏🙏
Bro we can draw a dashed or a dotted line and write “ gradual transition of parenchyma to Collenchyma “ ….. but it is not necessary ……btw I also have my exam today .
Two lines since it is a tissue. Use cell shape, size and colour to distinguish them. It's usually fine if you don't know which is which as they seldom ask you to label these tissue. You just need to recognise the different tissue.
Hi, scientific drawing is more about fulfilling the criteria, less about making a nice looking picture. Don't worry about how "nice" your drawing is, focus on fulfilling the criteria to get marks.
Hi, only the basic ones like dicot root, stems, leaves, and xerophytes. In the exam, they will give you unfamiliar specimens. You are supposed to draw by observing the layers, not by memorising the samples.
Hi, that is the collenchyma underneath the epidermis. Not all plants have that. If you do not draw that layer out, it usually does not affect your mark.
You need to learn how to differentiate the layers by using cell shapes, sizes and colours so that no matter what you get in the exam, you can draw them. Do not memorise them and draw them based on theory.
We actually take the measurements from scale of EPG. Does drawing with no measurements and making free hand drawing like you did in this video make any difference?
Hi, using EPG gives a more accurate drawing. If you are confident/ have limited time during exam you can do it free hand as the marking scheme usually only contains rough estimation for the difference of thickness and not accurate measurement. Hope that answer your question.
Sir I draw these diagram rough hand and not exact like you did as the specimen But my drawing is rough or more toward the exact specimen shape will I get marks
Also at 31:42, what if we add layers, one at right - to squished, and one at cetner of the vascular bundles - Collenchyma? and very loose layer towards center (but not in cener) would be parenchyma?
16:00 - I think it is better to draw the triangle groups out because they are separated from the epidermis. 31:42 - usually there is no problem if you draw more layers. The marking scheme only deducts mark when it is fewer than it should. So if you think those are different tissues, my advice is that you should draw extra layers.
Hello sir i have a question and im really anxious so today was paper 3 9700 34 it gave the the first diagram that you drew in this video So i did something dumb It had a triangle and it said 'to draw this shaded region ' and the shaded region was the lower side of triangle I did drew it but i drew the other way round like i basically inverted it like upside down I hope you understand what im trying to say ,does that make a difference? will the examiner reject my drawing because of this ?All my friends say so 😭😭😭
Hi, this is to show u how I draw unfamiliar specimen. Just focus on how I do it, do not memorize them. And all these pictures are taken from actual slides given during the past exams.
Usually for unfamiliar specimens, they only ask common label like epidermis and xylem. They will not ask you to label anything too complicated. You can refer to another video I made which shows some common labels: czcams.com/video/ZKIILH3Qimw/video.html
Hi, it depends on the marking schemes, they won't check every single detail all the time, but if the gaps for stomata happens to be a marking point in that question, u will lose a mark. Btw, all these are plan diagrams, the first one is a whole leaf, it is not one cell.
Please share the thought process when drawing these diagrams as well. It would help alot!
Buddy I know like 7000 people have said this, but this was truly amazing. If I get an A* I'll ask my parents to give cash using the Thanks feature.
Thanks for the kind words 🙏🏻 all the best for your exam !

Hi sir, just wanted to ask at 15:53 if the projections underneath the epidermis are inclusions as referred to in the mark schemes and if we are allowed to draw them because I am unsure if they are individual cells. Thanks.
Hi, each projection is a group of cells, not just one cell.
I confuse between air spaces and large cells...i see air spaces as large cells....also is the slide in exam is real or it is a printed picture
nice drawings mashallah
Thank u 🙏
It would have been even more helpful if you had given us the name of the specimen too
Hi, a lot of the specimens are the actual slides used in the exam and their identity was not given in the questions.
👍 Appreciatable 👍👍👍👍
Thank you !!
Welcome! 😄
Good work bro👍

Bro I am telling u what I have seen in biology textbook but again wait for sir to reply
When in doubt, just draw a line. It's usually ok to have more layers but not ok to have less.
@@uzairmehdi813 thanks and good luck👍

Also I want to ask how many calculations questions are there in biology. As level
should scale be provided like 1 cm is equal to 10 micro meter like this or we can draw the diagram without doing calibration
No, you just need to make a large drawing with the correct proportion.
@@DBiologyClassroom thanks alot
wait do the drawings have to be as accurate as yours ? cause i can't draw AT ALL so mine just look roughly similar.
Just try your best, they will look for certain criteria each time, not everything at once. So you don't have to worry about not 100% accurate.
Hi, do we have to draw two lines for endodermis? And how can we differentiate between parenchyma, sclernchyma, and collenchyma
Yes 2 lines for endodermis since it's a double walled structure
Two lines since it is a tissue.
Use cell shape, size and colour to distinguish them. It's usually fine if you don't know which is which as they seldom ask you to label these tissue. You just need to recognise the different tissue.
I’m a terrible drawer… how long do you think it would take for me to master drawing these structures 😢

How many shapes of plant organ tissue and cell we need to know
Hi, only the basic ones like dicot root, stems, leaves, and xerophytes. In the exam, they will give you unfamiliar specimens. You are supposed to draw by observing the layers, not by memorising the samples.
@@DBiologyClassroom okay
The first drawing u made in 1:00min. why u made it in segment not in a continuous line ?
To show the presence of stomata
is it supposed to be proportional (like you read the width and length off the microscope and make up ratios) or you do freehand it
Hi, you don't need to measure it accurately before you draw, but it is a good idea to check the ratio and draw as closely as possible.
at 28:34 is drawing 2 layers here necessary? cuz i don't see the second layer and according my knowledge there should only be an endodermis here.
Hi, that is the collenchyma underneath the epidermis. Not all plants have that. If you do not draw that layer out, it usually does not affect your mark.
hi! in the second slide is it necessary to draw a double memberane outside the vascular bundle?
Hi, that is a layer of bundle sheath cells.
Also I don't understand how many layers are present in the plant organ and how many to draw I get really confused even in drawing blood vessels.
You need to learn how to differentiate the layers by using cell shapes, sizes and colours so that no matter what you get in the exam, you can draw them. Do not memorise them and draw them based on theory.
@@DBiologyClassroom okay

Hi, just make sure the lines are not broken and sketchy and it will be ok.
hi for the second drawing can i add the white holes when drawing the circles in the middle?
No, those are xylem vessels, so they are considered the same type of tissue as the smaller ones around them.
In 16:00 instead of drawing individual dark regions(with epidermis) can we show it as layer with projections
Also at 31:42, what if we add layers, one at right - to squished, and one at cetner of the vascular bundles - Collenchyma? and very loose layer towards center (but not in cener) would be parenchyma?

in min 36:54 are those circles air spaces?
No, those are small vascular bundles.
Hi are these actual a level past year specimens?
They are very similar to those specimens.
Hello sir i have a question and im really anxious so today was paper 3 9700 34 it gave the the first diagram that you drew in this video So i did something dumb It had a triangle and it said 'to draw this shaded region ' and the shaded region was the lower side of triangle I did drew it but i drew the other way round like i basically inverted it like upside down I hope you understand what im trying to say ,does that make a difference? will the examiner reject my drawing because of this ?All my friends say so 😭😭😭
No it probably won't make any difference. If the examiner is strict, at most deduct one mark, it won't be rejected altogether
at 34:44 , what are the circular structures on the sides? and how do i distinguish them?
They are the small vascular bundle. Use the shape, colour, and size of cells to distinguish them from the tissue are the surrounding.
so we have to draw every single trichome/root hair cell included? Air spaces too?
Either way is acceptable. Those usually do won't affect your marks as they are both a part of a tissue.
@@DBiologyClassroom Oh alright thank you sir.

How do you recognize it

czcams.com/video/ZKIILH3Qimw/video.html
Thanks sir ....I am satisfied
hi in min 15:50 why did u draw small circles inside the big circles , i thought we shouldnt draw any cells
Hi, those are not cells. They are different types of tissue within the vascular bundles.
@@DBiologyClassroom should i just memorize them then or is there a way to differentiate tissues from the cells
@@manarzaino9916 no, do not memorize. Use their size, shape and colour to differentiate different tissues.
Can we draw the empty spaces near the epidermis? 49:50
Usually small difference like that won't lead to losing mark.
44:16 which one is the xylem and phloem?
In the vascular bundle, largest cells with big lumen are xylem vessels, the layer next to it towards the outside are phloem.
Bro I noticed that u weren’t making cuticles ,isn’t it necessary ???
No. Cuticle is not a tissue.
Thank u sir
Hi, if I don’t draw gaps in the first cell is it wrong?
