the idea of the u stoppers is to stop the snare loosening and to keep it pulling tighter, if you make rabbit snares from wire then make the first loop of your rabbit snare into a figure 8 then fold it into a u shape before threading your wire through, same principle on a smaller scale

I bought a small vice with a small anvil on the back of it. I use a ratchet strap to attach it to my truck bumper. Portable and works great.

For trapping smaller game i am going to try to use some broken guitar strings i have I think they will work
