@Filthy, Man, what can I say that hasn't already been said. This is such an amazing build. My second car was a 190e so I understand your obsession with the Evo 2 and it's history. Even after all the modern cars I've owned and driven I still wouldn't mind owning a 190e again. You just took it to a whole other level. I would love to see some videos of you driving it around a track. I've subscribed.

What motor mounts did you use to mount the ls?
Because of quality I've seen it's probably DIY template, sheets of steel, welder and some rubber or urethane improvisation but mostly depends on the idea. I think they are qualified enough to make them from scratch.
Started with a generic hot rod mount kit and modified them to suit

Looks great, but the engine should have been a AMG.
M113K or M117 or M119. M117 and M119 were extensively used for racing back in the day, pushing 1000hp no problem.
I understand using an LS though, much cheaper.

I bought my 190e almost two years ago, and the first mod I made was ditching those American style headlights for Euro's lol
Great build man amazing BUT all i want to know is why would you put that motor in it man there are so many benz engines you could of used for the same power and reliability i have a similar build with a m103 BIG turbo build still a benz motor your car tho is amzing man
Bro it's like 1600hp I would not want to hear m103 opinion at this output.
@@marcbrann m103 and m104 can handle big hp numbers so idk why you would dog on it its just another LS swap EVERYONE does it they put them in everything its boring

@@benzgirl2012 yeah it's another LS but it's of pure quality. Owner have 190E Evo 2 so why not go with LS. Big advantages for LS are displacement, replacement parts and numbers that can be held all day long. Just imagine if something go wrong with M series engine.. with these numbers almost all the parts must be custom made and that's a lot of work, time and money. These days with all the emission regulations it would be really difficult to make this car streetable.. I live in Europe and you don't want to see how car market looks here people are like LS what is LS is it a dragon that makes sun go down for 39 days.. You can buy new C class 1.5l attlest it's 4 cylinder because for a moment BMW had three cylinder 1.5l 3 series. It was ridiculous almost all cars here are Hybrid now. It's no fun.
@@marcbrann see im in the u.s and everything is LS swapped a lambo, bmw, benz, mustang, cars trucks everything here its all anyone does so when you see it its like ow another LS I understand where your coming from tho for sure its cool over there its all about perspective and where you're looking at it from so I get it regardless tho its a bad ass car they did a phenomenal job on it
An large inline 6 would have been great as the original Evo II is pretty slow and pretty crappy to drive but a compensated pushrod V8 is just pointless IMHO. Looks great and very well built though.

Clicked off when he said LS swap could have gotten a 500hp out of a OM606 reliabilty and torque with a genuine Mercedes Powerhouse, you could have even put in a M156 6.2 litre N/A or rennetech supercharged it to around 700hp
wonderfull car... but i would use the original european front lights from Bosch. Those clear front lights sucks!

I dig the V8, the 2.5 could not power and never sound like this. That should blacktrack in 4th if maxed, the things I don't like, who cares?
