Me who bought this phone through scholarship, also me who come from lower middle class family it's really hard to react what happened. I have exam to end just 17 days before phone's dead. I was really thinking about to start CZcams gaming channel after exam to end. Now I have to give the cost to repair , what I surely not can afford. As. I'm studying in science I doesn't have much sources to study except mobile phone(I haven't took tuition classes, due to many reasons), so it was one of my important things for study , now it's dead in the middle of exam . My poco x3 pro got bricked while I was using Facebook on 1st Feb. I went to service center in Kolkata, they said to wait 15 days. After 15 days they called & said that parts are not available. So they were offering me Redmi note 9 pro max. I denied. They said, then i have to wait for unspecific time. After that I called poco India & filed a complain.. Service center kept my phn 40 days.. Then they offered me redmi note 10 pro... I took it.. What could I do.. That is my last time of buying a xiaomi phn... Never ever trust Xiaomi...

I'm a 1st year university student from Karnataka. I bought Poco X3 Pro in December 2021 after a lot of effort that went into convincing my father (clearly 5-6 months of buy period ). I'm on latest MIUI 13 version. Luckily, as of now, my phone is still in working condition (but I'm living in fear now, cuz I don't know at what point of time, the phone might be dead - All my study materials files are stored in my phone and instead of focusing on studies, I'm here sitting - uploading all my important images, videos, documents on google drive because of the unpredictable situation) Although phone is in working condition, I'm still facing auto-reboot issues while operating the phone, during calls or even when I'm doing anything on my phone. I haven't visited service center yet. I have exams coming up in a week and I'm more worried about what's gonna happen to my phone than studying for exams in free time In short, it'll be very difficult to trust in Poco brand hereafter this mishappening. i would recommend you to not use your device for gaming specifically like light games wud be fine dont play graphic intensive games which will heat the device and thats all it may make your device stay live for long before dieing and well u can also flash custom rom as custom rom support for the device is great flash a good rom pixel experience or arrow os or wahtever you find good and just stay on it

Bought this phone back in November. Was really impressed by the performance. All of a sudden restarting issues started to show up after an update. The phone would randomly crash and reboot and then everything would be fine for a bit and then again !! But after few weeks of this irritating trait it completely stopped working. Wouldn't even turn on no matter what I do. Before that I had gone to two different service centers but none of them did anything that solved the problem. Finally had to deposit it in one of the authorized service centers and they phoned me right away after a few hours and were like " Oh your phone is actually dead and there's nothing we can do about it. It's the motherboard that's corrupted. And the company doesn't manufacture motherboards of this model so can't exactly give a replacement but it's okay u know what... just take another one.... and a trimmer with it for the slight inconvenience :)))) it's a downgrade though and won't give you as much performance in gaming but that's none of our problem....here are just two options to choose from....( Mi note 10 pro / Poco X4 pro 5g ) TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT !! same happened to me . I never updated my mobile nor installed any custom roms , it has same configuration as when it was bought. When people starts claiming about their mobiles are dying , a report came that most the mobiles were on MIUI 12.5.x . Since im on MIUI 12.0.x , i thought mostly im on safe side , i was very much happy with its performance . Im planning about exchange this mobile when i get my scholarship and get a premium mobile under 40k ( i had a small thought that some day my mobile may die, then why to risk just sell it ,at least you get 10k back ). Then while i am playing bgmi , it suddenly stopped and glitched screen appeared and it "died". It is out of warranty now (14 months completed ). so they will not do anything at free of cost . They will ask 10 k for mother board which im not going to pay any more. I am in shock . Even there are no motherboards for poco x3 pro for repair . They said either you throw in dustbin or go for cpu reballing (RS.4000) which will not last long anyway. The service center is said " actually one company should take responsibility if they manufactured faulty hardware - they should do it at free of cost " ; but the company didn't provided any options for poco x3 pro dead issue for service center guys to do it at free of cost . It my first mobile , I am scared to tell this to my parents too - any one would say "waste of 20 k" . My mother had lava z60 which costs 5k and it is still running from 5 years , the cost value is not important - the trust value is important . I am feeling bad to spent another rupee for repair on this "cunning fox POCO". Say if one changed his motherboard for 10k, then at total he had spend 30k - instead of this he would had get new iphone se (2020) . I think the fault happened at the testing phase of the mobile , if they had tested this mobile in every component , they should had caught the fault. They used cheap hardware , ignored the testing , rushed in launching and every thing is ****** up. I think if all poco x3 pro user unite and fight for justice we can win this - but this is busy world every one is not free . There are nearly 1 lakh ratings on flipkart regarding poco x3 pro , 87k people rated 5 stars ( this is at time 25-05-2022) . If their mobiles too get bricked , then everyone would rate 1 star , this atleast this slightly hurts poco.

First of all very great of you to make video and throwing light on this issue of poco x3 pro. My device was also poco x3 pro and I am going to share my story . It all started in the month of feb this year. My phone poco x3pro Started to misbehave and automatically restarted 3 to 4 times a day. This continued for sometime. I was not aware of the issue so I did not give much attention to it. But everything came to a sudden stop on 16th of march. My phone switched off and never turned on ever. I went to servive centre where they told me my motherboard has died. They offered me note 10 pro. My variant was 8 128. As i had zero choice I was compelled to accept the offer. As i am a student and from middle class family 20k investing in a phone is too large sum. So i had to aceept the offer of note 10 pro. I submitted my device poco x3pro on 23rd of march 2022. Till date I have talked 100 times to customer support and they are just ignoring me and delaying the process. Even servive centre guys are clueless and unable to resolve this issue. After fighting and going through the rigors theh told me that 8 128 variant is not available if u want we can give u 6 128 varaint. Now my point is why as a customer will I downgrade myself. Why will I compromise? I am waiting since around a month now. At this point i still confused, sad, angry, frustrated and clueless as to what i should do now

my consumer forum request was denied my description in consumer record: Please invest some of your time to it as it a matter of national interest. If this would have happened in europe all these companies would be fined heavily but our laws are very bent for these tech companies and i am just helping my country to do better as strict laws need to come about after some time. Many people willl give poco/Xiaomi the money to repair as they would think that this is their fault to none of their own,i cannot imagine the amount of people these Chinese companies have looted as the whole lot majority of people don't know about this scam these manufacturers are running. TLDR: Poco X3 pro has a manufacturing defect , how can a warranty be disapproved on a wrongly manufactured device This is not a small issue. My poco X3 pro stopped working on the 5th of april while i was using it . In December of 2021, some poco phones were dying and i thought it was not a big issue, but in february of 2022 many more poco phones were dying and i was concerned but i did not pay heed to it. So,i went to the poco service centre and there they told me that they would have to replace my phone as neither the phone nor it's parts were being manufactured. So i agreed as i was on a rush and have my board exams and entrance examinations going on.Later they called me saying that my warranty would we disqualified as there were physical damages on the phone and hence the warranty could not be claimed. I researched for some time then got to know that there was a faulty/buggy PMIC(Power management integrated circuits) chip on the phone which is leading to the bricking caused , as many poco X3 pros were dying...... and moreover many people are able to repair the samrtphone in under 4k when the company is asking for 19k for repairs. I am myself a poco x3 pro user, and i myself never had a ded poco phone but i do researched about this incident...and turns out it is a company fault, now u see when the update comes, it downgrades the performance, regardless of the manufacturer every android phone manufacturer downgrades the performance overtime with software updates, am myself a tech guy, am a programmer i know the level of issues that comes with these updates... And coming back to ded poco issue, this phone thermals are bad, i am not sure how true it is but what i found out is that the problem lies in its thermal and heating issues, after u update miui to 12.7 or 12.5 u will know how much it can lag and or the heating issues that comes with it, i myself use custom roms, cuz of good thermals and performance...but in reality its poco fault for not fixing the performance but rather downgrading it and making the thermals even worse...

My Motherboard on POCO X3 Pro died twice even after they replaced it. Finally got a New device after weeks of fighting. Till now no problem, hopefully it lasts now.

@@freedomsimp consider yourself lucky, but make sure to keep any important photos, videos etc backed up on your laptop etc. My device just shut down out of the blue, no heating, no lag no restarting nothing. Just shut down while I was using WhatsApp and never turned on again.
@Drax did that and recovered half my photos but as a dentist we have Videos of patients which were too big for Google Photos to back up and lost all those.
My Poco X3 Pro is dead too after updating to MiUi 13... The chip is not dead...but the solder is dead, needs reballing and resoldering, But in Malaysia, We don't have many good reballing repair shops, and they charge very high knowing users will pay to get back their data.

Even my mother's poco M2 pro earpiece stopped working after miui 12.5 update. And she's so angry on me, as i have recommended that poco phone to her. Now, calls can't be received on it without using the loudspeaker. Very sad experience with poco, looks like they went downhill after the poco F1. 😑

POCO not recommended. The cam quality is low. My skin tone appear darker in the cam then my original skin tone. First my speaker went off then my cam went off then my connection went off and now lts completely dead. I don't even play much game and it get heated so fast. I have not seen any other mobile brand on which video are made about motherboard dead. POCO should clarify on this issues. It's not about a single consumer or few people out of 100 consumer at least 70 person are having issues. My device went off completely and everything was save on my device and I couldn't retrieve all those important messages and notes.
Not only redmi but all smartphone companies in India use the same tactic even samsung only the flagship smartphones get the optimized software experience and the low min range category suffers the same

not many people realized this, but even the screen of this phone is bad, you cannot use the speed acceleration setting in codm/pubg, if you do, it will cause alot of ghost touch problem for aming/flicking with shotgun in codm you need speed acceleration, so with this phone you just cannot master shotgun also- people think that solution for this is to enable "optimise touch controls" in game turbo, but all it will do is disable speed acceleration

I have faced the same problem, the service center rejected warranty and said it's my fault. That too because of an out-of-the-box scratch which I thought was harmless. They told me the phone is bent and I CAN BET MY LIFE THAT I NEVER NEVER DROPPED MY PHONE. I HAD LITERALLY PLAYED AND PUT IT ON CHARGE AT NIGHT. WHEN I WOKE UP, IT WAS DEAD. I WAS DENIED SERVICE AND ASKED FOR 18K FOR REPAIRS!

Bricking is totally hardware side issue, custom rom won't fix it, my suggestion is take the note 10 pro as a replacement and sell it off if you are a "competitive" gamer and buy something else, otherwise note 10 pro is a brilliant device hands down miles better than x3 pro overall. I have had so many issues with my x3 pro, ghost touch, random reboots, gps issues and the fear of hardbrick. Just get rid of x3 pro.

Me who bought this phone through scholarship, also me who come from lower middle class family it's really hard to react what happened. I have exam to end just 17 days before phone's dead. My poco x3 pro got bricked while I was using Facebook on 1st Feb. I went to service center in Kolkata, they said to wait 15 days. After 15 days they called & said that parts are not available. So they were offering me Redmi note 9 pro max. I denied. They said, then i have to wait for unspecific time.
After that I called poco India & filed a complain..
Service center kept my phn 40 days.. Then they offered me redmi note 10 pro... I took it.. What could I do..
That is my last time of buying a xiaomi phn...

I'm a 1st year university student from Karnataka. I bought Poco X3 Pro in December 2021 after a lot of effort that went into convincing my father (clearly 5-6 months of buy period ). I'm on latest MIUI 13 version. Luckily, as of now, my phone is still in working condition (but I'm living in fear now, cuz I don't know at what point of time, the phone might be dead - All my study materials files are stored in my phone and instead of focusing on studies, I'm here sitting - uploading all my important images, videos, documents on google drive because of the unpredictable situation)
Although phone is in working condition, I'm still facing auto-reboot issues while operating the phone, during calls or even when I'm doing anything on my phone. I haven't visited service center yet. I have exams coming up in a week and I'm more worried about what's gonna happen to my phone than studying for exams in free time
In short, it'll be very difficult to trust in Poco brand hereafter this mishappening. Used to trust a lot in this brand for its performance - had to convince my father to buy it for me (I belong to middle class family) and yet at the end - what I got is complete disappointment

i would recommend you to not use your device for gaming specifically like light games wud be fine dont play graphic intensive games which will heat the device and thats all it may make your device stay live for long before dieing and well u can also flash custom rom as custom rom support for the device is great flash a good rom pixel experience or arrow os or wahtever you find good and just stay on it

Bought this phone back in November. Was really impressed by the performance. All of a sudden restarting issues started to show up after an update. The phone would randomly crash and reboot and then everything would be fine for a bit and then again !! But after few weeks of this irritating trait it completely stopped working. Wouldn't even turn on no matter what I do. Before that I had gone to two different service centers but none of them did anything that solved the problem. Finally had to deposit it in one of the authorized service centers and they phoned me right away after a few hours and were like " Oh your phone is actually dead and there's nothing we can do about it. It's the motherboard that's corrupted. And the company doesn't manufacture motherboards of this model so can't exactly give a replacement but it's okay u know what... just take another one.... and a trimmer with it for the slight inconvenience :)))) it's a downgrade though and won't give you as much performance in gaming but that's none of our problem....here are just two options to choose from....( Mi note 10 pro / Poco X4 pro 5g ) TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT !! "

same happened to me . I never updated my mobile nor installed any custom roms , it has same configuration as when it was bought.
When people starts claiming about their mobiles are dying , a report came that most the mobiles were on MIUI 12.5.x . Since im on MIUI 12.0.x , i thought mostly im on safe side , i was very much happy with its performance . Im planning about exchange this mobile when i get my scholarship and get a premium mobile under 40k ( i had a small thought that some day my mobile may die, then why to risk just sell it ,at least you get 10k back ).
Then while i am playing bgmi , it suddenly stopped and glitched screen appeared and it "died". It is out of warranty now (14 months completed ).
so they will not do anything at free of cost . They will ask 10 k for mother board which im not going to pay any more. I am in shock . Even there are no motherboards for poco x3 pro for repair . They said either you throw in dustbin or go for cpu reballing (RS.4000) which will not last long anyway. The service center is said " actually one company should take responsibility if they manufactured faulty hardware - they should do it at free of cost " ; but the company didn't provided any options for poco x3 pro dead issue for service center guys to do it at free of cost .
It my first mobile , I am scared to tell this to my parents too - any one would say "waste of 20 k" .
My mother had lava z60 which costs 5k and it is still running from 5 years , the cost value is not important - the trust value is important . I am feeling bad to spent another rupee for repair on this "cunning fox POCO". Say if one changed his motherboard for 10k, then at total he had spend 30k - instead of this he would had get new iphone se (2020) .
I think the fault happened at the testing phase of the mobile , if they had tested this mobile in every component , they should had caught the fault.
They used cheap hardware , ignored the testing , rushed in launching and every thing is ****** up.
I think if all poco x3 pro user unite and fight for justice we can win this - but this is busy world every one is not free . There are nearly 1 lakh ratings on flipkart regarding poco x3 pro , 87k people rated 5 stars ( this is at time 25-05-2022) . First of all very great of you to make video and throwing light on this issue of poco x3 pro. My device was also poco x3 pro and I am going to share my story .
It all started in the month of feb this year. My phone poco x3pro Started to misbehave and automatically restarted 3 to 4 times a day. This continued for sometime. I was not aware of the issue so I did not give much attention to it. But everything came to a sudden stop on 16th of march. My phone switched off and never turned on ever. I went to servive centre where they told me my motherboard has died. They offered me note 10 pro. My variant was 8 128. As i had zero choice I was compelled to accept the offer. As i am a student and from middle class family 20k investing in a phone is too large sum. So i had to aceept the offer of note 10 pro. I submitted my device poco x3pro on 23rd of march 2022. Till date I have talked 100 times to customer support and they are just ignoring me and delaying the process. Even servive centre guys are clueless and unable to resolve this issue. After fighting and going through the rigors theh told me that 8 128 variant is not available if u want we can give u 6 128 varaint.
Now my point is why as a customer will I downgrade myself. Why will I compromise? I am waiting since around a month now. At this point i still confused, sad, angry, frustrated and clueless as to what i should do now
Even if i take 6 128 varaint i will bear a loss of 4k. As 6 128 varaint is of 17k and i bought poco x3 pro 8 128 varaint in 21k

I don't know what to do.Brought this phone by paying EMI by listening to scoldings from my parents. Thought this phone will last longer as it had a flagship processor. Please invest some of your time to it as it a matter of national interest. If this would have happened in europe all these companies would be fined heavily but our laws are very bent for these tech companies and i am just helping my country to do better as strict laws need to come about after some time. Many people willl give poco/Xiaomi the money to repair as they would think that this is their fault to none of their own,i cannot imagine the amount of people these Chinese companies have looted as the whole lot majority of people don't know about this scam these manufacturers are running. TLDR: Poco X3 pro has a manufacturing defect , how can a warranty be disapproved on a wrongly manufactured device This is not a small issue. My poco X3 pro stopped working on the 5th of april while i was using it . In December of 2021, some poco phones were dying and i thought it was not a big issue, but in february of 2022 many more poco phones were dying and i was concerned but i did not pay heed to it. So,i went to the poco service centre and there they told me that they would have to replace my phone as neither the phone nor it's parts were being manufactured. So i agreed as i was on a rush and have my board exams and entrance examinations going on.Later they called me saying that my warranty would we disqualified as there were physical damages on the phone and hence the warranty could not be claimed. I researched for some time then got to know that there was a faulty/buggy PMIC(Power management integrated circuits) chip on the phone which is leading to the bricking caused , as many poco X3 pros were dying...... and moreover many people are able to repair the samrtphone in under 4k when the company is asking for 19k for repairs.

I am myself a poco x3 pro user, and i myself never had a ded poco phone but i do researched about this incident...and turns out it is a company fault, now u see when the update comes, it downgrades the performance, regardless of the manufacturer every android phone manufacturer downgrades the performance overtime with software updates, am myself a tech guy, am a programmer i know the level of issues that comes with these updates... And coming back to ded poco issue, this phone thermals are bad, i am not sure how true it is but what i found out is that the problem lies in its thermal and heating issues, after u update miui to 12.7 or 12.5 u will know how much it can lag and or the heating issues that comes with it, i myself use custom roms, cuz of good thermals and performance...but in reality its poco fault for not fixing the performance but rather downgrading it and making the thermals even worse...
Phone gets heated very fast especially when we play games, I don't know the exact reason, should have gone for iqoo it was a bad choice by me.
@@sc0957 dont use miui, use AOSP based roms, or try different kernels, there are kernels dedicated to performance whereas others who are concentrated on fixing thermals and heating issues while managing good performance

My Motherboard on POCO X3 Pro died twice even after they replaced it. Finally got a New device after weeks of fighting. Till now no problem, hopefully it lasts now.
Lost all my important Data (Personal and Clinic patients photos) two times, who will take the responsibility?? I asked them to take the responsibility and either acknowledge it so new people won't be affected.

@@freedomsimp consider yourself lucky, but make sure to keep any important photos, videos etc backed up on your laptop etc. My device just shut down out of the blue, no heating, no lag no restarting nothing. Just shut down while I was using WhatsApp and never turned on again.
Did you update the phone after replacement?
@Drax did that and recovered half my photos but as a dentist we have Videos of patients which were too big for Google Photos to back up and lost all those.
Same happened to me but they replaced it with a new one again.
After that i didn't update it anymore.

My poco x3 pro died suddenly yesterday ( 1-10-2022) gave it to service center today. They said motherboard issue and motherboard not in stock it will come after a week or 10 days. Bought from Flipkart December 2021.
Update - Got my phone back after motherboard replacement under warranty after 14 days.

POCO not recommended. The cam quality is low. My skin tone appear darker in the cam then my original skin tone. First my speaker went off then my cam went off then my connection went off and now lts completely dead. I don't even play much game and it get heated so fast. I have not seen any other mobile brand on which video are made about motherboard dead. POCO should clarify on this issues. It's not about a single consumer or few people out of 100 consumer at least 70 person are having issues.
My device went off completely and everything was save on my device and I couldn't retrieve all those important messages and notes.
Not only redmi but all smartphone companies in India use the same tactic even samsung only the flagship smartphones get the optimized software experience and the low min range category suffers the same

not many people realized this, but even the screen of this phone is bad, you cannot use the speed acceleration setting in codm/pubg, if you do, it will cause alot of ghost touch problem
for aming/flicking with shotgun in codm you need speed acceleration, so with this phone you just cannot master shotgun
also- people think that solution for this is to enable "optimise touch controls" in game turbo, but all it will do is disable speed acceleration

Realme 9 SPEED EDITION 5G is pretty good option in 20k . Doesn't lag at all. Everything is quite good but the charging is slow after the update.

I have faced the same problem, the service center rejected warranty and said it's my fault. That too because of an out-of-the-box scratch which I thought was harmless.
They told me the phone is bent and I CAN BET MY LIFE THAT I NEVER NEVER DROPPED MY PHONE. I HAD LITERALLY PLAYED AND PUT IT ON CHARGE AT NIGHT. WHEN I WOKE UP, IT WAS DEAD.
I WAS DENIED SERVICE AND ASKED FOR 18K FOR REPAIRS!

my friend got poco x2 with his part time money he is student he's mobile was fine for 1 year and then his camera was dead and then after some time full phone was dead and my other friend's note 5 pro was stuckked at mi logo after update and at service center they told its old phone (@2020 it was 2 year old) and they told to replace motherboard for 8k,

Bricking is totally hardware side issue, custom rom won't fix it, my suggestion is take the note 10 pro as a replacement and sell it off if you are a "competitive" gamer and buy something else, otherwise note 10 pro is a brilliant device hands down miles better than x3 pro overall. I have had so many issues with my x3 pro, ghost touch, random reboots, gps issues and the fear of hardbrick. Just get rid of x3 pro.
