This recording is really great, it's good to see traditional dancing as well as just Brass or Military bands at a Tattoo. It's a pity that our Royal tournaments had to be terminated.

Mein erstes Tattoo. Viele schöne Gänsehautmomente (insbesondere das Schottland-Medley), allerdings war ich vom Finale total enttäuscht. Vielleicht hatte ich da auch einfach ganz andere Erwartungen, da ich es die Jahre vorher über CZcams immer hervorragend fand.

Don't get me wrong they all had thighs that would crack brazil nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then we had the "Scottish" Highland dancers to an upbeat bagpipe tune, that was as close to SCOTLAND as Alaska is to Argentina? The Swiss Central Band, the girl that played the alpen horn, I kept expecting her to play Post Horn Galop not a kazoo. Then we had a rippoff of Red Hot Chilli Pipers version of We will Rock You. Then came the STARS, TOP SECRET. They are the best amateur drum corp in the WORLD bar none. Then it finished with the Mass Pipes and Drums what a spectacle.

Den Sinn eines Tattoos nicht ganz verstanden? Es geht nicht um das Überbieten mit Marschmusik. Es geht um die Verständigung von Menschen, Völkern die vll. im Krieg miteinander liegen eben DURCH Musik. Und das hat dieses Tattoo in wirklich sehens- und hörenswerter Weise geschafft. Militärmusik ist weit mehr als nur Tschingderassabumm. Wer Marschmusik liebt wird gemeinhin auf jedem Dorfschützenfest glückliche Abgänge haben... ^^

die show war im Vergleich zu älteren Basel tattoos echt enttäuschend. Das war ein etwas zwischen Klamauk und Musical. Spätestens als die Pikachus zu ''we will rock you'' einmarschiert sind war der Niedergang dieser Veranstaltung offensichtlich. Nur der Auftritt von top secret war wieder mal ein Knaller
Ich liebe ja Leute, die permanent was vom "Untergang" faseln. Die Welt verändert sich, deal with it. Und damit will ich nicht sagen, dass Marschmusik uncool ist, ich mach die selber, aber das Publikum will's halt eben modern

This is in Swizterland not Scotland, the Swiss can do what they like with their own shows
