LEGO Technic Carrot Crawler with SBrick

  • Say hello to the Carrot Crawler! This crawler has been a work in progress for a long time and is in its final stages. It includes an SBrick that is controlled by an iPhone 6!
    Features:
    -Triangulated 4-link suspension using the Lego soft shock absorbers.
    -One PF XL motor per axle (a total of two), each geared down 1:2.779.
    -Custom portal hubs for each wheel.
    -Ackerman Steering with slight caster angle powered by PF M motor geared down 1:3.333 including a worm gear.
    -Rechargeable LiPo battery box as power source.
    -Controlled by a SBrick and an iPhone 6.
    -RC4WD 1.9" Super Swamper crawler tires.

    In response to the comments about the tires: I bought them at a local hobby shop. They are RC4WD Super Swamper tires. If you plan on buying your own, ensure that they are 1.9 inch tires. FYI, there are multiple articles and forum posts about custom Lego tires online. Let me know if you guys need anything else, thanks for the comments!

      Can you give instructions on the front axle? I want to make a moc that will use two of these front axles to achieve 4wd + 4w steering.

      I do not have a parts list for this crawler, unfortunately. I do have an LXF (3d model) file of my Chilli Crawler with parts, instructions, and all also on my channel, if that helps.

    I have the super swampers they're okay but I think the ripsaw and the Flatiron tires are better.. And where in New York City you from I'm from the Bronx

      Well, besides the $50 battery box, $40 SBrick and the $60 tires, I would say about $20-$30.
