    In this video tutorial we will take a look at how the names of the muscles of the human body are derived. Learning and understanding the terminology and definition of anatomical terms is one of the most basic skills every student needs to acquire, so they can describe and discuss anatomical issues in lectures and courses with other students or lecturers in a precise fashion.
    We will take a closer look and give examples for how muscles are named after their shape, size, muscle fibre orientation, action, and more, so you will become fluent in talking about the different aspects of the muscular system.
    - conventions of naming muscles after different features
    - shape (e.g. deltoid, trapezius)
    - size (e.g. vastus, maximus, major/minor, longus/brevis)
    - muscle fibre orientation (e.g. transverse, oblique, rectus)
    - action of the muscle (e.g. flexor, rotator, adductor, sphincter)
    - number of origins (e.g. bi-, tri-, quadri-)
    - origin and insertion (e.g. sternohyoid)
    - function (e.g. risorius = laugh)
    - location (e.g. tibialis anterior, supraspinatus)

    I don’t agree on leaving it to the internet to decide on whether I deserve a raise or not, that is so unbecoming for a business owner. If I was Jose I would just start my own business and bring in new faces who are eager to learn. If your company can’t build talented workers from scratch then you really have no edge on your competitors who aren’t waiting for experienced workers to step up to the plate. If you’re not about creating opportunities for the next generation of stonemasons, skilled labor your business will tank.
