Sony Xperia 1V Android 14 Phone Charging Slowly vs Regular Charging vs Charging Rapidly
Comparison between different charging modes on the Sony Xperia 1V Android 14 phone.
The damaged cable started to be very slow while charging and when looking on the battery settings page it's written there Charging slowly.
Probably one of the middle data USB communication wires was damaged so the phone defaults to the slowest charging mode when it can communicate with the charger resistors or other components.
Charging is the regular still slow charging and surprisingly the thinnest cable that I can't remember were it came from was the fast charging cable for the Sony Xperia 1V phone.
Regular charging ia fine but it's nice to have fast charging too.
The damaged cable was up cycled into a USB OTG cable extension.
I tried to replace the USB-C connector but my soldering iron was really not working well and I changed my mind half way doing it.

I made this USB Type-A Extension and USB-C OTG cable from an old USB Type-C cable that had the USB-C connector broken.
Instead of recycling or throwing the old cable away I up cycle the cable into a USB-A extension cable that can be easily converted into a USB-A to USB-C OTG cable extension with a simple OTG adapter.

Make this cable from new connectors and wires or even better, you can reuse an old USB cable to make this.
Be careful with the USB pin-outs, make sure you get it right and not reversed. It's easy to be confused with USB connectors.
