Buy RODE Lavalier GO (white) - amzn.to/2FtDj5W

Buy RODE DCS-1 (dual cold shoe mount) - amzn.to/35lqQfo
Both the RODE Wireless GO and Lavalier GO are awesome microphones, but which one has better sound quality and features? I also checked out Rode's newest camera/audio accessories, the SC11 and DCS-1, which allows you to record two mics at the same time.

The lav sounded better (or more natural I guess like you said) but the go wireless sounded more detailed. I’ve had the go for like a year and a half and never used it...Too lazy to connect it to my phone I guess. I’m going to get the lav and start using my Go also. Thanks Ben!!!

Great video man, solid comparison, straight to the point. I listened with my Sony 7506 headphones and personally like the lavalier go better as it was a bit clearer and natural as you had said and had less midrange than the wireless go. Thanks i will buy both regardless though because i need the transmitter

Great review thanks ! I do like the softer sounds for interviews and I feel Rode generally is softer compared to sennheiser that sounds very "metallic" in a way, very sharp and agressive.

Thanks for posting the video. Do you have any thoughts on the Rode Wireless Go + Rode smartLav+ combination, instead of the Lavalier Go in terms of audio quality?

I don't know why you prefer the wireless go because it sounds muffled whereas the lavalier go actually sounds more upfront the soundstage is closer to you it's clearer

Hi Ben! :) What microphone would you suggest to record the voice of a wedding civil ceremony (indoor)? The mic is could be only on the table in front of the wedding couple.

I have the Wireless Go and I agree - AMAZING quality and I love it so much. The only issue is in a sit and chat video (I do workout videos and talking head videos) - it looks SUPER bulky and weird..and gets sweaty like you mentioned. So if I got the lav go and plug it into the Wireless go - it will sound like the Lav Go Mic? I don't hear much of a difference in your video, but just curious!

    • @b3naqua
      @b3naqua  Před 2 lety +2

Correct - if you plug a lav mic (or any other mic) into the wireless go, you'll hear the audio from that external mic, not the internal mic on the wireless go

@@b3naqua great, can you also test how well they work at rejecting speaker sound.
      Moderate level of course.
I want to use them for streaming music production, mixing and mastering.
Which means it's done at a voice like volume.
But I intend them of outside podcasting and adventure also for that will help also.
That might be enough for me to get a idea anyway.
      Thank man!!
      Good luck!

With headphones on, I hear the Go Mic as a bit more clean over the lav. That being said the lav sound's good and is better [looks better] for the person wearing it.
