The one thing I absolutely hate about this story is that both Aiden and Callie don’t even try to get off on the right foot, they don’t even acknowledge that both of them have won the F2 title. Atleast in the first braking point, Aiden actually tries to be friendly towards Casper and even apologises for his mistakes, in this story Aiden’s just being a twat to everyone.

They should have just had Jamie Chadwick play herself to come in a drive in Butlers place.
It could have been a power play from an engine supplier or a sponsor to get the Formula W Champion on the grid.
Then animosity between Devon's dad and Jamie could be genuine and organic as he's nit happy giving his son's seat to dome outsider a female none the less.
Then Aiden and Casper get to help and mentor her.
You can script the races, crashes and engine failures anyway you like.
Pretty sure I just wrote a better Braking Point 2 in 5 minutes.

@@purpletigerracing7087 I think I have an even better story.
Butler still races for a rival team (like Alfa Romeo or Haas), amd Jackson signs for Konnersport. However, Jackson has a talented new teammate, Takumi Fujiwara.
The F1 world is stunned in Australia, as Takumi gets the pole and win whilst Jackson struggles to 8th, just behind Devon Butler. This frustrates Jackson, and Butler taunts him after the race.
After some more mediocre results, Konnersport are considering brining Sebastian Vettel out of retirement to patner Takumi. After a non points finish in Imola, Jackson meets a mysterious figure in the paddock.
He introduces himself as "B" and he is wearing a hood, so you cannot see his face. He warns Jackson that he will have the most important race of his life coming up, but offers him advice, suggesting he takes a new line through the hairpin at Catalunya.
Jackson overtakes Butler for 5th halfway through the race at Catalunya, but spins and crashes in the rain near the end. Takumi wins his 7th consecutive race. "B" returns to the paddock after the race, and he teaches Jackon how to control oversteer properly.
At the next race in Austria, Jackson is in 10th at the halfway point. Rain falls, and butler has a brake failure, sending him into the back of Perez and spreading debris all over the track, causing a red flag. Butler has broken his leg, and will be out for the next 3 months. Jackson then uses the skills "B" taught him in the rain to get up to 2nd place, making it a Konnersport 1-2, but Takumi's engine fails with 5 laps left to go, meaning Jackson wins his first ever race.
However, the celebratios are cut short, as Andreo Konner announces that Jackson will have a 1 on 1 race with Sebastian Vettel before the British GP. "B" tells him that he should use the outside line after the first DRS zone. Vettel will naturally move on the inside, but as the track as green, no marbles are on the outside meaning Jackson will have the grip to pass him.
The race is 3 laps in two Aston Martin Vantage's, and Jackson pulls off a suprise win to keep his seat for the rest of the season.
Jackson qualifies poorly, but storms his way through the field and s right on Takumi's tail for the lead on the final lap. Takumi defends the inside line, but Jakson tries the same move on the outside again. The outside is full of marbles though, and Jackson drifts. It looks like he is going to spin, so Takumi takes his natural line through the next corner. But he is jumpscared as Jackson is still there, and overtakes him for a shock win.
Takumi finds "B" in the paddock after the race, and "B" tells him "Son, you undedrestimated Jackon. If saw him you would have taken the better exit out of the corner, and overtook him into the one after that". He removes his hood and it is revealed to be Bunta Fujiwara.
Jackson wins the next 5 races, and is now close to Takumi in the championship standings. But, a thorn is going in his side, as Devon Butler makes his return. His car has had massive upgrades fitted for the Japanese Grand Prix, and Butler qualifies 2nd on the front row alongside Jackson.
After the 2nd pitstop, Butler gets an undercut on Jackson and takes the lead, but coming into the hairpin, they collide on Jackson lands on top of Butler. nearly beheading him. Takumi wins his home race and extends his lead in the championship. Jackson is furious, and punches Devon after the race, giving him a one race ban.
Bunta then gives him a pep talk "Your angry. I can see it. I want you to keep that feeling. I want to see whether you are like Takumi. When he is angry, he becomes a driving God"...
Lukas Weber replaces Jackson for the American Grand Prix tto help his old buddy out. After 4 years away, Lukas struglles and qualifies 11th, but makes his way through the field and sets multple fastest laps. He is closing in and tries to overtake Butler, but Butler turns in on Lukas, wrecking his sidepod and limps home to 5th. Jackson is even more angry with Butler as Lukas could have taken points off Takumi.
Jackson misses out on the Brazilian Grand Prix pole by 0.002 seconds to Takumi, which gets him even more worked up. At the race, he uses his adrenalin to get a lightning start, blasting past Takumi as Butler then pushes Takumi wide, dropping him to 3rd, which is great for Aiden's championship. Again, Butler gets the undercut though, which pushes Jackson over the edge. He makes a stupid divebomb at Descida Do Lago, and locks up, losing many seconds to Butler. A mysterious but familiar voice comes on the radio and says "You may be angry, but that isn't an excuse to be an idiot". Jackson finally recovers his braincells and passes Butler properly for the win, giving him an outside chance of the championship in Abu Dhabi.
Jackson is pushing really hard for pole position, but has a big crash, which means he is sent to 20th place for the race, and Takumi is on pole. Jackson is making good progress, but it won't be enough. However, a lifeline is handfed with 15 laps to go. Jackson is in 4th, behind Verstappen, Butler and Takumi, but Takumi's engine fails again. A saftey car comes out and Jackson must overtake Butler now to win the championship. However, Butler backs Verstappen into him, catching him off gaurd and Jackson is overtaken by Hamilton.
Jackson repasses Hamilton and then overtakes Verstappen, but he is 7 seconds behind Butler with just 4 laps remaining. Jackson puts in the laps of his life though, and gets DRS on the straight after the hairpin on the last lap. Butler then tries the same thing he did with Akkerman two years before, and turns in on Jackson, smashing his suspension. It seems all over, as there is only 10 seconds to Hamilton who is in 2nd. However, Jackson drifts his crippled car to the win in a close finish, winning him the championship by 1 point.
After the race, Takumi congratulates Jackson. He is now satisied, as he has finally found his worthy opponent. Bunta then appears in the paddock again, and says "congratulations, you beat a baby! Now, let's see what will happen when you face a real opponent!"
This sets up Braking Point 3, where Bunta is now the teammate.

Everyones favourite characters from braking point 1 was Casper and Butler. SO WHY DID THEY THINK IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO SIDELINE BUTLER AFTER ALSO SIDELINING CASPER?
The thing I hated most was what they did to Devon Butler. The whole time I and many others judging by some CZcamsrs I've seen thought the whole Devon Issue would be a mental health thing. The pressure to perform and be the best from his dad and others and his need to be better than Aiden getting to him and causing him to push way too hard. Culminating in the crash. It would still work too.
If I were to rewrite braking point, I'd have it almost the same but leaning more on hints of it being mental health and keeping the crash. Obviously to bring in Callie Devon needs to be sidelined so increase the scale of the crash. Devon gets a severe injury that means he cannot race for a season or two and Callie comes in.
That way Devon Butler can be used again in future. A story potentially showing Devon returning to the and struggling to regain his confidence as a result of his big crash and injury and dealing with his issues a bit more.
That way the best character in the series isn't sidelined indefinitely and he's humanised and people feel for him a little.

    • @Nox_Desiree
      @Nox_Desiree Před rokem +8

Not only did they sidelined arguably the best character but they replaced him with a female him in the form of his sister that is somehow more unlikeable because they try to force you to like her.
So with Akkerman and Butler sidelined all we are left with is Aiden who has the depth of a cardboard box. Only in Braking Point 2 they painted angry eyes on the box and made him into an unlikeable prick. And Callie who is even more of an Unlikeable Prick. I couldn't relate to these two in anyway.

It's why I honestly think racing games like this are probably better off scrapping the story mode altogether and focusing on a career mode where we can essentially create our own motorsports journey.
The process of rising through the ranks, signing sponsors, picking teammates, driving for other teams to fund yours, developing your cars and infrastructure, choosing what series and regions you want to focus on, and essentially making your own mark in the racing world sounds like a far more compelling campaign to me than a list of overly scripted yet underdeveloped scenarios.
My ideal racing game career mode would essentially be a mix of F1 Manager and the first GRID game.
As for the F1 series, my opinion is that Codies would be better off scrapping Braking Point altogether and replacing it with classic cars from previous games (and adding older ones from before 1972 like the Lotus 49 and Maserati 250F) as well as the other support series like Formula 3, perhaps Formula 4, and maybe even the Porsche Supercup.

My complain about the first Breaking Point was that while Casper was the aging veteran that wants to prove himself and Devon was a cunt, Aiden was basically a wood plank.
And on Breaking Point 2, Aiden was AGAIN a wood plank, but a angry wood plank. And I hate that the modern idea of a Strong Female Character is just a woman with all the traits that if we put on a man, we would consider a villain.
Callie doesn't go to that point, because everything om Braking Point 2 is just a one-note repeat, so it doesn't annoy like other ~Strong Female Characters~, but it cames out as a Nothing Burger.

Make a next story like this:
A rookie enters the sport who wasn’t the best in F2 or F3 but he’s there because he brings good sponsors.
He joins Konnersport replacing Callie (just make something up for it). Now the team is under accusations of using illegal copied parts on their car to make it faster.
First F1 season story is about how they fightback to being a stable team again by proving that a rival team engineer who worked with them previously stole the car design, meanwhile team is fighting for upper midfield positions.
In second season, there are big regulation changes based on engine reliability and the team is now capable of fighting for championship against Red Bull. First half of the season is really good but it keeps getting harder to catch red bull towards the end. Konnersport wins championship at last because of strategy masterclass in the last race of the season. Aiden wins WDC as rookie struggles a bit by barely achieving P4 finish at the end of the season. Aiden refuses to help the rookie in 2-3 races by not letting him past on a faster strategy
In 3rd season, the rookie got a new mentor himself know as Devon Butler who helped him fight against Aiden by improving his pace by quite a lot. Konnersport is now dominant so they only have their owns drivers fighting this season. Aiden gets more win compared to rookie in the season end but eventually rookie gets WDC as he was more consistent overall and improved a lot towards the end of the season. Furthermore, all 3 drivers are good friends and chit chat about their old fights while chilling at the yacht after partying in Abu Dhabi.
    Story ends with closing music.

Long comment here, so sorry for the long read
I’m gonna make this clear, I was very excited to see a continuation for Braking Point from 2021. However after finishing it, (Bought the Champions Edition for early access) I enjoyed a lot of it but also was very disappointed.
First I want to start on the good, obviously the characters except one were great, it was good to see Aiden Jackson, Casper Akkerman return, along with the man fans love to hate Devon Butler. Also new characters Andero Konner, and Devon’s father Davidoff were great, the actors all did great work in portraying the characters and I did enjoy the character development for Aiden and Devon. It was an interesting story about a new team joining the F1 Grid, considering in real life how difficult and expensive it really is. Also I was incredibly shocked that Devon was suffering from Tinnitus and left the grid in 2023, the first time I actually felt sympathy for Devon. Also Devon actually has one great scene when he talks to Aiden, about how Aiden has this delusional belief about he deserves being signed at Mercedes, Red Bull or Ferrari, yes he was on their radar in 2021 but their talks never came to an agreement.
But now the bad and the controversial opinion, the female protagonist, Callie Mayer who is Devon’s sister, is by far the worst character. Her entire personality is “I don’t like my dad cause he only focused on Devon’s career” got really old fast. Also when in the story, Davidoff was gonna pull his funding to the team if they didn’t finish 5th in the Constructors Championship, she always acted it was because of her, but it was clear that the contract about the funding was in place before she joined. Even when Aiden and Callie were told about it, there was no attempt for either of them to bury the hatchet and work together. Aiden is the only one I can understand not wanting to try as he wasn’t happy at team way before Callie joined. But Callie was kept acting like a spoiled child and acted incredibly rude in interviews and I’m not talking about the ones the player chooses the character’s responses.
Also she goes on about that Aiden was the immature one and he has an attitude problem but she never showed any maturity herself and hardly had a good attitude at all. Also the fact that Davidoff only focused on financing Devon’s career, she tells Devon that he “left her behind” and should’ve fought for her, but here’s a newsflash; GETTING INTO MOTORSPORT IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE!!!! ESPECIALLY FOR A CAREER!!! On paper Davidoff could fund both of them, but for a businessman to which Davidoff is, he had to think practically, yes he was pretty ignorant about it, especially wanting a legacy from Devon. Also let’s be real, if the roles were reversed, Callie would definitely do the same to Devon, so don’t act like you would be different in the same circumstances. And near the end, Aiden does apologise to Callie, but she never apologises to Aiden she just acts smug like Devon and comes off just a smug unlikable brat. What annoyed me more was that Jamie Chadwick 3 time W Series Champion had a hand in bringing her story to life, which the Braking Point video mentioned and showed her, I have to ask what the hell was she telling the writers at Codemasters?
Now I’m gonna make this clear, I do not have anything against female characters in F1 or racing games in general, but how they handled Callie in the game was rubbish, her story could’ve been so much better, but the decisions they went for it were so poorly handled.
But in the end, I still enjoyed Braking Point 2, I always loved stories in Racing Games and I’m hopeful that we get another in 2025 as the storyline needs two seasons. I’m gonna give the Braking Point 2 a solid 7/10, it’s a good story but with one annoying character bringing it down. Is it better than Braking Point 1? In some areas yes but also not so good in others. I also hope this isn’t the last game to have Devon Butler in the games, cause I think he’s the character players want to see and also beat on the track.

In the first story, Jackson wasn't given much importance, like we played as him for the first 5 or 6 chapters then for the rest we focused on Casper's story and Butler, and at the last chapter we jump back into Jackson. I thought that this time Jackson would be front and centre of the story, showing his journey of struggles and joys while competing against butler for a F1 world championship in the top team. But they decided to Sideline him in this Story as well, I love butler but I want to follow Jackson on his way to the top step of the podium ultimately to a F1 championship but here they just throw him into a midfield team and make him the villain and KILL HIS ENGINE IN THE BLOODY FINAL RACE. Callie is a poorly written character, she just springs out of nowhere and even Casper doesn't talk to Jackson as much as I expected him to, I really expected him to be the one to give aiden the Reality check instead of Butler. I hope in F125 if they continue Breaking point they show Jackson more and keep him front and centre

The parts that really made it not stick for me is that Aiden actually regresses.
We get character development in Braking Point 1 where Aiden learns to put the team above his ego.
Braking Point 2 and it's literally the same lesson. Aiden seems to "try" to work together with Devon like ONCE, and while Devon is a prick, him being a prick makes Aiden turn on the entire team and just looking for an exit.
And then Callie, enter a new character that just is not likeable.
She is a girl boss and she'll ram that down your throat every chance she gets. And there seems to be no to very limited progress with her as well. She isn't more likeable by the end of the story.
The sequence where Casper has to really really convince her to drive F1 is also eh? Many people in F2 never even get a chance for F1, and now Callie is too good for this shot, which might've worked, if we found out her father did some horrible things to her (though probably so horrible it'd change the PG rating of the game) and it turns out... the father was absent and played favorites. Sure, it's not nice, but... wat

  • @tombardsley3081

Completely fair points on this. My takes.
Like the idea of having a new team as part of the storyline. Gives a little more freedom on telling the story with Devin and/or Callie and a bit more realistic compared to the first series where you’re in a team that has no chance of making the top 4 in the championship in real life.
I hate the fact that Jackson has gone backwards when it comes to his character development from the first Braking Point. Also that it’s pretty lazy how they offer no explanation as to why he’s at Konnersport. You could easily fix this by say doing a storyline where Jackson is getting a load of things not going his way in 2022 with a top team and the team doing a Gasly/Albon on him with replacing him with someone else and Konnersport are the only team that gives him a chance to get back in a race seat.
I like the idea of Devon having a flaw to his character which he masks by being arrogant in public. I was thinking with the zoning out and not listening to the team that it was something to do with his mental health eg his dad pushing him too much cos Jackson keeps getting the better of him and then he goes over the edge as a result, but the hearing thing was a bit rubbish.
As for Callie, I’m mixed on her character but I wished she wasn’t a female version of Devon and she was separate from that whole family drama but she has her own motivations etc where she’s successful in all the junior categories but also means she thinks she can do everything herself. I’d have her be signed the first season for Konnersport, as it’s this big impact that this team wants to be remembered for. But since it’s a new team on the f1 grid, things aren’t perfect, the team struggles to get results and no matter how much Callie works, the car continues to be an issues and she lashes out at team personnel etc . And it’s only when Casper and Aidan come in where things turn around and she learns the value of being in a team player.

I think the most disappointing thing about the story is the it doesn't matter where you finished as long as you reach the objective.
It doesn't matter if you finish 1st everyone you are allow to finish. There are no reaction at all and even though you finish 6 or 7 in P1 there are only barely reaching 5 in constructor. What?
They could have done this better, making it more difficult or even just move to a cut scene or even finish the race after reaching the objectives.
In conclusion the story was dull, it feels that is just the same story with different characters. There are trying to make F1 on Netflix but they chosen the 2021 to follow from.

I would have rather seen a Jackson-Butler two season battle for the championship looking something like this
Both Aiden Jackson and Devon Butler sign for 'Big Three' teams
    2022 Season
Bahrain GP: Aiden Jackson is running p6. The objective is to overtake your teammate for p3, but when you close up to him, you're ordered to stay behind and defend from the other cars. Butler wins the gp.
Spanish GP: The objective is to quaify on pole. Once the race starts, Butler takes you out on lap one, and goes on to win the race.
French GP: Running in P3, the objective is to overtake Butler for the lead. Once you do that, you break down and DNF from the Grand Prix.
British GP: Start from P4. Take the lead before half distance, only for the car to fail you once again
Singapore GP: Start from P20, your objective is to finish on the podium.
Japanese GP: In the rain, you take P2 from Devon Butler, only to spin and drop to P10. You eventually finish in the top 6, as Devon Butler secures the drivers championship.
Abu Dubai GP: Starting from P5, you come through to win the Abu Dubai GP.
    End Of Season Standings
    1) Butler
    2) Jackson's teammate (LecLerc/Hamilton/Vertsappen)
    3) Butler's teammate (LecLerc/Hamilton/Verstappen)
    6) Jackson
    2023 Season
Over the season, Jackson is told his seat is lost if he fails to deliver over the upcoming season.
Bahrain GP: Jackson is running P3 behind Buter and Jackson's teammate. Jackson takes the lead before another mechanical failure forces him to retire.
Australian GP: Jackson runs in P7 before the safety car comes out. Jackson runs off the road on the first lap under safety car, and recovers to finish in the points. By this point, Butler is taking a commanding lead in the championship.
Monaco GP (No driving): Butler and Jackson battle for the lead in the Monaco GP Butler turns into Jackson and forces them both out of the race.
Jackson is at serious risk of losing his seat mid season. In response, he reconnects with Akkerman and the Dutchman becomes a driver mentor for him
Canadian GP: Jackson runs in P4, but chases down and overtakes Butler for the race win, and Jackson's first win of the season.
British GP: Butler starts from pole, Jackson starts from P10. Jackson comes through the field to beat Butler and win the British GP.
After the British GP, Jackson's teammate leaves to partner Butler, replacing Butler's underperforming teammate. Jackson's team employs it's reserve driver.
Hungarian GP: Jackson leads the Hungarian GP but a mechanical failure hampers him. His objective is to beat Butler and his former teammate.
Belgian GP: Jackson takes grid penalties, but recovers to finish on the podium.
After the Belgian GP, Weber is announces as Jackson's new teammate, with the objective of winning Jackson the championship.
Dutch GP: Weber leads the Dutch GP in his debut race. Jackson moves up to P2 before Weber let's Jackson through for the win.
Italian GP: Jackson moves up from P15 to P4, before Weber's engine blows from the lead, allowing Butler to take the win.
Singapore GP: Jackson starts from pole, and wins the Singapore GP, gaining ground on Butler who finishes down the order.
Japanese GP: Jackson moves up to P2, but collides with Butler going for the lead. Taking them both out of the race, allowing Jackson's former teammate to take the race win and the championship lead.
United States GP: Jackson starts from P3 and goes on to win the race ahead of his two title rivals.
Brazillian GP: Jackson starts P3 and makes contact with his former teammate into turn one, sending them both to the back. The race is red flagged for monsoon conditions, and in the pouring rain Jackson manages to climb back into the top 5 whilst Weber goes on to win.
Las Vegas GP: With the championship looking bleak, Jackson is in need of a win. He comes from P5 to win after Butler collides with his teammate, sending them both down the order.
Qatar GP: In need of a win to keep his title hopes alive, Jackson takes the pole and the win the Qatar GP.
Abu Dubai GP: Going into the final race of the season, Butler and his teammate (Jackson's former teammate) are tied on points, with Jackson 25 points behind. Butler leads from his teammate, while Jackson starts down in P14. Butler collides with his teammate on lap one, sending the latter out of the race and Butler down to P5. Jackson works his way up to P5 while Butler works his way up to P2, behind Weber.
2021 repeats itself as Butler makes a dive on Weber at the same corner, spinning Weber round and sending Butler out of the race. Jackson is up to P3 after Lukas lets him by, but Jackson needs to win and take the fastest lap to become world champion. He does this to become the drivers world champion against all odds. He celebrates with his team, Lukas and Casper. Butler is devasted and Aiden and Casper end up consoling him. Butler shakes his hand as a sign of respect. The story ends with Jackson finally achieving his goal of becoming the World Drivers Champion.

I hope they don't bring it back - half-arsed storylines, terrible acting and it's hard to get behind Aiden Jackson when he's a such a fucking drip.

Dude, those “What’s it like being a woman in Motorsport” followed by the “I don’t know. What’s it like being a man in journalism” lines were almost enough for me to quit playing Braking Point right there. I was like REALLY 🙄 They could have introduced a female character without all of that bullshit. It genuinely upset me. Casper is the only likable character anyway 🤷‍♂️

I only think people said the game was good at Lauch was because of how bad f1 22 was but now they people have played it a bit we can all agree that the game isn’t really all that. Yes we got a big change to the handling but I want more and different game modes and classic cars back

How I would have handled BP2:
1: Have the new team have big relations with one of the top 3, and make Aiden be on loan.
2: Give Devon a more serious injury, maybe have him crash with another car during the time you play as Aiden and have Devon feel the injury from then, or hell, if you want Devon to retire while you are playing as him, have him get into an accident.
3: Fix Callie, make her not a clone of Devon, but make her feel pressured into doing and saying the things she does, maybe make it so Devon has told her something to the effect of "That's what a real driver does", and when the pressure is off (after Devon's crash), make her have a personality change to someone nicer, make the player like her
4: Make Aiden and Callie rivals, not enemies
5: Just cut Bell out of the entire thing, make Devon's inability to race a bigger issue as it forces the team to bring on their only reserve driver.
6: Get the facts right for the f1 race news
7: Make the villain not someone in your own team, perhaps add in a Chick Hicks style dirty driver to another team
8: Make the Villain be the cause for Devon's retirement from racing, maybe he caused the crash
9: Make the pressure to finish 5th not to keep the team alive, but to beat the villain
10: make Aiden finish the final race, do it in the same way as BP1 - 50% Aiden, 50% Callie
11: Have the villain collide with Aiden during the final race
12: Give the villain unique AI which makes him more likely to play dirty
13: Don't cover up Devon's injury, explain what happened to him to the "public" are not concerned
14: Put more of a focus on overcoming past fights to unite against a common goal
15: make Devon's transfer more realistic instead of "his dad is a big sponsor", maybe make him have been fired by his team for the crash he caused
16: Give Callie a unique number - NOT 69 - maybe number 50 as the team needs to get P5

For me the story mode was booring and bad most of the time, the thing that F1 2021 had was that the story was at least decent, here is just booring and nothing intersting, if the game was without Barking point we could probably all agree that the only good thing is will be the handeling and track change, but with BP, we have a game that is like 2011 or 2018 but worse

But even at the ultimate race when aiden actually apologise to her she only accept if he put point in the race even worse she doesn't apologise at all .God the story line of grid 2 another racing game is so much better

Here is how I would write Braking Point 2
It’s been a few years since Abu Dhabi 2021 and Aiden has proven himself to the top teams and you now have the choice for choosing either Red Bull, Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren, Alpine, and Etc. But in 2023 Aiden is a serious contender for the drivers championship but his main rival the one and only Devon Butler is also a contender to the title. Its then the final race in Abu Dhabi and Devon is in the lead to the championship with Aiden close behind at second and all Aiden has to do is to win the race to be the champion but Butler needs a safe 7th place and on the final lap Butler tried to do a risky move to Aiden but as a result Butler crashes and Aiden was able to cross the finish line and becomes the 2023 World Drivers Champion by just one single point and that’s how Braking Point 2 in my narrative should have been.

It's not that the mode is bad, but the characters... ugh. This isn't just abour Butler's sister, but the entire Butler family is damningly insufferable. Not helping with Aiden being a child, and everyone else seems to not helping with the situation. No wonder the ending felt like a whimper.
