  • As a person who has done extreme vocals for 12+ years, Antti Boman’s vocal style is one of the hardest to emulate perfectly. Just as stated in the footnotes for Nespithe, no effects were used on my vocals in any way. You’re hearing phone, microphone, & field recorder audio along with the original track mixed together. I own no rights to the music.

      Thanks man! It took a lot of listening to the vocals and changing my own vocals to match the tone of Antti. I appreciate the feedback!

      Thank you my friend! I can’t say I was a fan of the vocals at first but the riffs kept me revisiting the album. Once I read the lyrics & that there were no effects used on this record, I HAD to duplicate the vocals!

    Antti's vocals have perplexed many people around the Internet! It's amazing that you got it down so well. You should show how you did it

    • @Houstonfontes
      @Houstonfontes  Před 3 lety +3

      Thank you!! It’s true. His vocals are extremely unique, brutal and complex. It took a lot of listening and conditioning to understand how to do it. So, that’s a great idea, I will definitely make a video trying to explain how I got that tone.

      I am using a deep gutteral tone that’s pushed from my diaphragm with my throat affixed to let air through. Literally to give that frogish rumble that Antti had perfected.
