Dear Graham, Kathleen and Cameron,
I was at the meet and great on sunday. I don't usally watch on twitch because of the time difference and need my sleep. I can't express into words how much it ment to me meeting you all. I been a fan since 2017 and found you guys googeling for magic the gathering documentaries. I been a petreon now for a few years because you guys earn it for the great content you make and because you are all such lovely people. I love this video you guys talking about dutch things like a Frikandelbroodje and the Febo. Meeting you guys was high on my bucketlist and hope to see you again someday. Thanks for all that you do. I was the one giving the mystery booster and loved that a group of German people gave you German boosters. How nice it would be if it was in Dutch with all the GGGgggg sounds. Again love you guys!
As the Dandân player that played Kathleen that did have actual Dandâns in my deck, I would like to add that my Dandân tokens are, in fact, Magikarps.
It was amazing meeting you all, LRR Chaos event was the highlight of the weekend. See you next con, if there'll be one that's nearby.

Meagen (from Scotland) here - sadly I got bumped to a 4 PM flight from the 10PM one I originally paid for on Sunday, so I couldn't make the second M&G. Still super lucky to have run into you and happy to have all the signatures on my Charging Badger. Maybe next time I can make the Chaos event or play Kathleen at Commander!
As someone who had a Black Lotus badge: yes you could go to the artists an hour earlier, which saved me soooo much time, that alone made it almost worth it. There also was a separate line for us at the Show Merch Store, so, at least when I went, I had to wait for only a few minutes. The way longer wait was, as Graham said, paying at the Merch Store, which was the worst experience I ever had paying for something.
I had the VIP legendary pass, I had to queue up normally like all others, sadly of course the cool playmat was solled out. but i just payed with my (european) bank card, swipe the card add pin# and done. easy peasy.

Loving Graham's pronunciation/half-remembering of 'frikandelbroodje'. Frikandel being the sausag-y part (and one of our fastfood staples) and 'broodje'' meaning bun or pastry in this context.
Had the opportunity to meet almost the entire LRR crew and I even got to play some Canadian Highlander games with the Bens. Best experience of my life. I'll cherish the memory of it.
As one of the people who had issues, and possibly the main reason for that commander rule change in the Gavin event (I couldn't field a legal deck under the rules which involved three judges trying to figure a solution including offering a piper before giving up and asking Gavin!) I'm sorry to all the people who had to rebuild their decks after the hotfix! I literally didn't have the legendary creatures to support my pool even with the playtest cards (they were all boros!)
We call sparkling water angry water at home, mostly because the cats keep wanting to sniff the water every time, but also reel every time they get to actually smell it haha.

Toffel vs. Wheeler is a matchup I'd pay money to watch
LA native here! LACMA is a great visit, but does cost around $30 USD and is QUITE big. Has a large variety of exhibits though, so you can certainly find what you like and just visit those. The Broad is another phenomenal museum option - contemporary art museum with a single-visit-feasible amount of rooms and FREE tickets! Reserve a time slot ahead of time and you just walk right in. Has rotating optional paid exhibits as well.
Had fun in Amsterdam jamming games along the rest of the MTGGoldfish folks, sad we didn't get to meet up at some point, but everyone was busy, a great time. Maybe next time y'all are around for an Europe event in a year or three!

There's some conflicting info, but the donair as it's known today originated in Halifax and Berlin at almost the same time. The sweet sauce variety (of which Edmonton for example is like 90%) was definitely a Halifax invention by a Greek feller.
Your sausage is called a Frikandel broodje. Its amazing! The kipcorn is the chicken sausage. It was great meeting you all during your event. With my 5c Niv guildpact deck i had a ball. Hope you will be back in the not to distant future!
The LRR chaos event was genuinely one of the most fun moments of playing Magic in my life. I was incredibly lucky to be paired against Cameron for round 2 and it was an absolute delight to have played some Magic with him. It was a great choice of format imo to combine a chaos draft with 3 random boosters to add to your card pool. The event was well-organized and the overall vibes were just great.
Thank you kindly for the game Cameron and for signing my Hypothesizzle. Also many thanks to Kathleen for turning my Millstone into a beautiful cat. You both as well as the presence and energy of the rest of the LRR crew definitely made my weekend!
For those not familiar, but who are familiar with doner, the Halifax (Haligonian) variant is donair. (The different spellings tend to help defuse fights over what's a proper doner/donair before they begin)
It was so wonderful to meet you all! I was initially too late to join the queue for the Friday Meet&Greet, but I was allowed to trade places with my partner who was near the front of the queue. (They queued again for the Sunday Meet&Greet, and was actually first in line there!)
The deckbox you all signed now stands proud on the shelves right next to my desk, so I can see your signatures and doodles. :D I even got Ashley to sign it! :D

Me and my partner went to MagicCon. We spotted Bens and Serge at the Rijksmuseum on the Thursday which was a bit unexpected. Here's hoping you guys make it back to Europe next year.
As an American, I agree, color coded euros are super great and our green money sucks
Regarding the whole merch thing: I went to Copenhell last month, and they had a "click and collect" system, where you can make an order in the online shop, and then later you get notified that your order is ready for pickup, and you just have to give them the number of your order. It was extremely easy, and there was no line at all to go pick it up.
It seems like it would be a fairly easy thing to emulate? But maybe Copenhell is just so much bigger than MagicCon, that the logistics don't make sense in MagicCon's case? idk

It was really nice to be able to talk to some of you guys ^^ Loved to see some photos from the early setup of the studio (Thanks Serge!).
As a German working somewhere that doesn't accept cards: It's definitely both of the reasons Kathleen mentioned: Card fees my boss can save on and taxes he can avoid as long as we don't put everything we sell into our registers.
You were kind enough to sign some little guys from my little guys deck - the Tarpan that Graham was looking so hard for (which I had got for the deck shortly before MagicCon but forgot to put in) is now in, so next time you come to Europe I'll bring it along!
The venue felt somewhat industrial, some vendors had payment issues (i'm so used to Sweden where cash is pretty much obsolete), there were some ridiculous queues...
but overall my son and I had amazing time, including meeting all the LRR folk. We never even went into the ticketed event hall, as all our play was in the Command Zone - which was great with the "social", "challenging" and "competetive" pod finder system.

The hilight of my weekend was playing in two 2HG Full Box sealed events (1 Thunder Junction and one Mystery Boosters). And going 5-1 in total. The only loss was to a storm turn taking our team from 27 to -4 with a grapeshot.
My second hilight was getting crushed by Ben Ulmer who played the Initiative in 1v1. Lots of fun all around.
It was so great meeting you!!! I was one of the people who where surprised you remembered my username. 😅 TBH i wouldn't have gone to Magiccon without knowing you'd be there. Thanks again for everything!

Bonny Pall!!! I run her in the 99 of my Kellen, Inquisitive Prodigy+Keruga Companion casual battle cruiser deck (Workshopping the name. The Curious Hippo, maybe?), and she's a ton of fun in that.
I was unfortunately one of the people in the "hopeful" bonus queue on Friday that you didn't have time to see. The mood was obviously disappointed, but also people were generally understanding that LRR only has so much time in the day and no ill well was held!
Personally, I was otherwise busy for the Sunday meet and greet, but I was very grateful that all of LRR (and the three hosts here in particular) made time on the show floor to come to and ask for signing, giving crack-a-pack. I hope you enjoyed the Japanese sweets!

MagicCon Amsterdam was a nice experience and i had fun playing a game of commander with kathleen and show her my homebrewed "King Gizzard" commanderdeck as a fellow KGLW fan :)
MC Amsterdam was incredible! Loved the Chaos event in particular, I think I put together one of the sickest limited decks I've ever played. (Fury is a good card, who knew.) Wheeler's Canlander meetup was a delight as well - such a pleasant and enthusiastic group of people.
I managed to miss out on the meet and greets owing to the big queues and whatnot (I'll have to do it next time, didn't realise you'd uncapped the lines!), but I met a couple of the crew at various events and it was great. I've been a LRR fan since Unskippable #1 so encountering you folks in real life instead of on a screen was a bit surreal lol, and tbh I also enjoyed seeing the large numbers of obvious LRR fans kicking around. Hope you can make it to more European MCs in the future!
One thing that people outside of Canada might not know (including Europeans): despite being a landmass that was controlled by England and France at the time, a lot of early immigrants from Europe were not English or French, especially the farther west you go. This is especially true of any people whose homeland prepared them for the harsh winters we have out west. You get *a lot* of people whose forefathers came from Germany, Ukraine, Russia, Norway, and other European countries (though a lot less Italians than in the States).
And those ancestories are felt in the food we eat and the restaurants we have. Hence why we have so many donair places, including those styles developed here (Halifax), styles that have roots in German cuisine (Berlin) and styles that are from across the middle east, Turkey, etc.
FYI TSA doesn't trust TSA ... I got stuck in an airport overnight and I had to leave the terminal and go back through TSA to get on my flight.
American airports seem to treat terminals as seperate airports. When I've flown in to O'Hades in Chicago you get off one flight, leave the terminal snd then get stuck in another round of security. Combined with immigration it once turned a 5 hour layover into one of the most stressful experiences of my life trying to reach my connection.
I was sadly too slow on friday to find where your meet and greet was happening so i just happened to arrive right on time for the line to be capped in front of me. (Sunday i was playing in Gavins unknown event)
But i got to play in your Chaos Event on Saturday (which was so fun that i would have been happy with the event before i had played even 1 round) and i got all of your signatures on the promo counterspell. I was one to ask Kathleen to draw the cat face on the persons face and asked Graham about a Magiccon Amsterdam Vlog, so maybe even if i didnt give my username you may remember me.
Thank you for coming to the European Magiccons aswell and if possible again next year i hope i wont be too shy to speak to you when i see your group standing around outside of the events.
It was so cool getting to meet you guys! I was able to get 22/24 of the artist signatures I wanted to get relatively painlessly but some of the lines were just endless nightmares that I didn't even attempt. I'm glad to know there was a technical reason for it. RKF is delightful. He's just really friendly and was happy to chat with everyone.
It was a pleasure meeting all of the crew at Amsterdam, I hope gram and wheeler had a good card pool with the chaos draft. It was a blast being in the same pod and playing can lander with everybody.

I also had the opportunity to attend MagiCon AMS this year.
I couldn't agree more with your overall experience, feedback, and suggestions, all of them are on point with my thoughts.
I also participated in Gavin's event on Sunday and it is true I felt less excited when building my deck since I opened a few close to none commander legal cards, where my best pool colors were Blue and Green and I had no commanders to use them in pair.
I ended up building from my test cards, The Duke of Midrange (aka Reid Duke) a Jund commander deck.
Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to meet you guys at MagicCon Barcelona and Amsterdam but I hope to do it in a future Europe MagicCon.

I was at the meet and greet on friday. I was 3rd in line. I asked you all to sign a card for the Boomer Cube I'm putting together, and to sign my Middle LLRth playmat, which you all did.
At no point did I think of introducing myself, or even remember to give you the three packs for Crack a Pack I had brought with me.
I just felt bad for the massive line of people behind me, so I wanted to just rush through and take up the least amount of time I could.
Thankfully, on saturday, I caught James walking through the lobby, and was able to give him the packs. Didn't cross my mind to introduce myself then, either.
Also, after playing in either the LRR Chaos event or the Unknown event, I talked to Jordan for what felt like 5-10 minutes, and I forgot to introduce myself at that point as well.
It's only after these events took place that I realized that was pretty rude of me.
Next time I'll hopefully manage to at least say "Hi, my name is Morten, otherwise known as 'bondeulv' in chat" 😅
MagicCon Amsterdam was my first ever large mtg event, and I had a blast!
Great meeting you, though it's funny how I always get starstruck when meeting you (which I know is silly, becaus you are very chill). I always go blank, forget what I wanted to say and my English suddenly gets bad. I'll try again next year. 😊

I discovered this whole travel thing first time I left the States when I went to Utrecht, more specifically flying back. Went through security in Amsterdam, landed in I think Philly for the connecting flight and they had us all go through security again, mind boggled. I had brought some snacks back from passed the security checkpoint at the airport in the Netherlands to bring back for some friends and the TSA guy made me dump them :

My top events from MC Amsterdam were: The Friday night party and BDM's Commander & Cocktails event.
But overall it was just the best Magic weekend I've ever had!
Re: Graded cards, a dremel rotary saw will get through those things.
We have doner in NZ too. And likely mispronounce it a different way.

I think your Canadian Döner might be closer to a Lahmacun Döner in Germany. I slightly prefer them to traditional Döner since they usually are easier to eat and make less of a mess.
I think Cameron’s card should flip into an artefact called Empty Chair 🪑 It would be an equipment that would make any creature a blue defender that scrys and draws when it blocks. The flavour text would read, “You can sit in his chair. He’s not coming back.”
