James Horner was an incredibly talented composer who left an indelible mark on the world of music and film🌹
we know this
One of my favorite composer of Disney specially Casper..
And here I am not knowing he was dead! What a shame, he was a very talented man.
Aviation is amazing and scary.
Nothing scares me like flying over the ocean at night.
One of the greatest composers ever. Hes up there with Hanz Zimmer. Amazing. God rest his soul.
And John Williams. But yeah.
i never knew that he was dead until now! Such a huge shame!
Well I didn't even know who he was.
Yea
James Cameron did a tribute to him in the documentary film Score.
I’m sure he was a great man. And rest in peace to him. But this is no tragedy. He went out there and acted like an idiot in that plane. Received multiple warnings and radio calls about his behaviour. Multiple witnesses phoned police about the planes behaviour. He is the epitome of “play stupid games win stupid prizes”
What a convoluted telling of the story. First he says that some suggested the risky maneuvers were the cause however further investigation this was not simply the act of reckless behaviors and then lists the contributing factors, all were which by his own poor decisions.
The NTSB said as much in their final report that the cause was primarily due to the pilot's inability to maintain a safe distance from the ground (while hot dogging...my words, not the NTSB's) and because of drugs he'd taken.
So, It wasn't the fault of the airplane.
Don't be cocky. Be humble. Make good decisions.
Just because someone engages in inherently risky behavior, such as canyon running and acrobatics, doesn’t necessarily make them an “idiot”, which is a pretty subjective opinion anyway. Yes, you can sit in a room and always play it ultra safe, but are you then truly living? And the “warnings” were not warnings. ATC loses radar contact in numerous situations. It’s actually fairly common, and does not in and of itself represent any issue.
@@cogitoergospud1 you go into a plane and do stunts only 500 foot above the ground despite continued warnings from ATC then yes you are in fact an idiot
JH was an experienced pilot and even flew multiple times with air company the 4 horsemen that specialize in air show.
He didn’t act like an idiot but in all complex thing like air maneuvers, a blink of an eye misplaced and you can die…
@@alexkurt1101 Yeah, way to go DAD!
What a terrible shame! His soundtracks were so beautiful.
Such a tragedy. Thank you for covering this story
Indeed 🥲 thanks! 🙏🏻
@@disasterstories Hey just wanted to say I love your content. The stories are usually pretty dark but you present them in such a great way. Keep up the good work 👍
James Horner also did the soundtrack to Glory. It is one of my all time favorite movie soundtracks to date.
He was able, in his compositions, to explore the complexity of human emotions. He knew how to use the Lydian mode better than any composer, and the way he layered musical colors was exquisite. He had such a gift.
His score for KRULL is absolutely spectacular from start to finish.
Too much Money, not enough pilot skill and judgement.
But did he know that “judgment” only has one “e”…. 🤔
@@cogitoergospud1 guess not! 😂😂😂
Butalbitol & codeine cocktail 😢
It wasn’t an issue of skill. The video makes clear it was largely due to substances in his system.
@@johnhill762 As much as I love James Horner's music, he made some poor aeronautical decisions here. First, he got in the cockpit under the influence of unapproved medication, that is a big no no in aviation. Second, he failed to maintain proper obstacle clearance minimums, and it got him killed
He's my favorite modern day composer. Such a tragic loss. I hope he's resting in peace 😢
He also did the soundtrack for "The Perfect Storm". The whole soundtrack is just so powerful and emotional. I highly recommend it.
And the beautiful, magical soundtrack for "Willow".
@@PaxDisturbia yes! I had forgotten he did Willow. He was a very gifted musician 💗
He did plenty of films others than the ones mentioned. That’s just one of many.
As a pilot, I admire his dedication. But...
Love his music!!❤️
How tragic his score for titanic would be simple to the way his lost his life.
That combo of drugs butalbital & codeine used to have asprin and caffeine mixed in back early '80s, would make one really loose. I crashed a motorcycle on that combo 40+ yrs ago.
Preferably maybe suicide😂
I Didn’t know James Horner died!.
I don't know if that was his music playing in the background the whole time but it was very distracting and made it more difficult for me to focus on the story.
Poor guy, never even made it to the corner
No idea this happened. Great soundtracks.
Our Heart Will Go On by remembering James Horner.
that song makes me dry heave like the movie lol
Wow
If Laura Ziskin didn't die,he,Alvin Sargent, and Steve Kloves would've come back for the sequel.
I applaud those who learn acrobatic flying, however performing said manoeuvers over rugged mounainous terrain, PLUS he's blocked down to 2500 feet - too low some may say. Different area plus higher altitude block may have saved him. Sad indeed
good deal
Sad
Avatar’s Score is the album that get me to know Hornee
Pilot was drunk af

Any human, no matter how talented or successful, is just as capable of criminal behavior as anyone else. In fact, the more intelligent & strong one is, the easier it is to get away with " legal " crimes. RIP 🙏🏼
