So my garden has zero annuals, zero fertilizer and zero mulch this year bc it’s an expense we can forego. BUT it has increased my joy for the small garden I do have. I’ve split and transplanted everything I can! My beds have never looked so spotless. I miss not filling it up with color but like every season in life, I know it will change! I know this was about the pollinator bed but that yellow toned hosta to the right near the porch is GORGEOUS!! I love the shape of the leaves and the bright colour💕🌿
Oooh oooh oooh, we have Veronica’s planted behind our little lime hydrangeas and the way they peek out from behind them looks amazing. Great pollinator garden, the bees sometimes mesmerize us and sometimes get caught up observing them longer than we need to. 💚💚💚💚💚💚

I was always a perennial only kind of girl, but since watching your videos this past year I have caught the annual bug! the color really helps when there is just too much green while waiting for blooms, the property we bought last year had nothing so I am working on all the beds from scratch and the annuals keep it looking nice while the new perennials first sleep, then creep, then leap!
Uuugghhhh Laura you should've recorded it. Yes it can get repetitive but we LOVE everything you do!! You can do no wrong when it comes to gardening. Beautiful garden as always

Beautiful! This video came at a perfect time. We decided to redo our back yard garden and needed some inspiration and Laura thank you sooo much this helps a whole lot. We have all kinds of pollinators and birds surrounding our home since we started gardening and I love it! I even have the birds following me around waiting to fill in the bird bath lol! This is probably one of my favorite gardens. I love the mix of perennials and annuals in flower. Great advice on keeping annuals for color. I remember this garden with the struggling box wood path. Looks way better. I also liked the video editing presenting the plane with the name of the plant and the framing of the plant. Great work

Perfect! Looks like a magazine picture. My favorite childhood flower is the daisy. I'm used to the reliability of the " Becky" daisy so, it's nice to have you explain another varieties habit. I won't feel so reluctant to a different variety when purchasing daisies.
I didn't realize how close I am to your families nursery ill have to make a trip out to visit. I've been trying to get our garden into shape we moved into this house a little under 3 years ago and has been quite a challenge getting it back to looking good it was very overgrown and not taken care of for many years I have been watching your channel for inspiration on how to beautify and visiting most of the nursery in my area cant wait to check it out soon! Loved this video! I inherited an established flower bed when I moved into this house last year and I left it go to see what was there. I have a beautiful plant I wanted to keep, but could not identify. Thus video showed me it is called Penstemon. Thanks!
speaking of pollinators its interesting because i grow orchids indoors now , and they have different kinds of pollinators and a lot of their make up and what they've evolved to look like is in order to get pollinated by specific insects!! i don't know if that makes sense , or if you were interested ... but when your video popped up it peeked my interest for that reason! your garden is pretty with all the bee attracting perennials too! xoxo L.

I plant all the plants that pollinators love. A lot of annuals! I like to grow them from seed. I need to get better at that for sure!
Adorable, I whish I have a sun garden so I can plant a bigger variety of perenials, so far my shade garden is beautiful and peaceful, just how I like it.
Bummer only the Daisies grow in my zone 9.....as usual you make great art in the garden. Love your work.

I'm planting for pollinators. Sadly i don't have many. I'm encouraging them though. You turned me on to PW. I've hit every nursery and big box in search! I'd initially thought that brand was loaded with neonics. I was so happy to be wrong! And on a side, funny note, i love Allen Smith. I hope you'll have tea with him on his porch one day. lol
