Yes!! The biggest thing people don't understand and they my cell phone is that exact part. And this video shows it perfectly how you're supposed to do it. You do not break contact with your brush to the gel until the nail is completely finished. If you make a mistake you can just wipe it off and start over again this was flawlessly executed I haven't seen someone do gel like this and a very very long time especially first time. And I have 18 years of experience as a nail tech. It is something that is hard to teach people and a lot of people want to lift airbrush up and fix something they messed up but it is extremely important that you keep your brush in the gel and not break contact but this video shows it flawlessly how it's supposed to be done correctly
@dno. nails builder in a bottle it's thinner. So if you use it keep that in mind. Work in layers like building a acrylic nail curing in between each layer. Don't remove the tacky layer between cures.
It definitely depends on the product!! Some are thinner and self leveling but runny, some are medium viscosity and self leveling and don’t run as much as the thinner gel and there’s gels with a thick viscosity that stay put but don’t self level. All have their pros and cons! You have to find what you like best!
Beautiful! I’m an amateur but the sway! Wow! One tip- please turn down the music so we can hear the instruction. I have adhd and I can’t hear or focus with the music so loud. Thank you. You’re amazing ❤
I use this technique but don't sway as far to the sides because my skin comes up high on the sides of my nails. If I sway just the middle area, and let it self-level for a bit, then cure, it works like a charm!
This is my goal, to have my natural nails grow out. I just started using builder gel and am just learning. I didn't use the bonder and wondered why they kept lifting from my real nails. Started using the bonder and what a difference. I'm starting with nothing but nubs but I hope to get there.
😮 That looked VERY easy! I am waiting for my first package of gel supplies to start, and watched many tutorials. Seeing you do this for the first time gives me hope that maybe I can pull this of as nice as you😊
@@brynn_D I use ASP builder gel in birthday suit and ASP bonder, but usually any bonder should work. The bonder helps the builder gel stick to the nail plate.
Usually the gel that you use will tell you on the bottle, I usually do at least 60 seconds. Also you do not have to use the rubber base with builder gel unless you want to, any base gel will work.
Hi! Nicely done but I think I am a bit confused. You applied the rubber base after the nail dehydrator and then the builder gel. I thought that the rubber base can be applied alone. Is that only when a tip fake tip is there? TY
@@missmia196Hey! Do the chemicals in the “Builder in a Bottle” deplete/thin out your natural nails? I had been getting Apres for the last couple years and my natural nails had gotten so thin and damaged. I’ve spent the last 6 months restoring and getting them strong. I want to try this method, but I’m nervous it will revert my nails and make them thin and damaged again. Have you had success in keeping your natural nails healthy? Or is there a particular technique to keep them healthy?
@@glamgalore My nails shred and split. I've been using a rubber base gel and it's been helping my nails grow - I really love it. My polish stays nice much longer too. I don't think it's damaging my nails at all. I'm really surprised to hear that Apres caused damage for you, it's the only extensions I've ever used that didn't damage my nails.
When using builder gel can you use any base coat and dehydrator or are there diff ones for builder gel? Also does it take long to cure since it is a thicker layer?
You can use base coat for gel for any gel nail product like normal nail gel polish, builder gel, poly gel etc. Yes, you can use any dehydrator. Curing duration depends on your curing lamp watts, some lamps cure the gel quicker than others.
See what I want to know is how do people use clear builder gel and get it so even? I have used builder gel from a popular brand and even a popular inexpensive brand too thinking that it was self leveling. But each and every time I use it, I get the worst bumps and crevices and it’s so annoying because I never get a smooth even nail.
I'm about to use builder gel for the first time. I'm also using gel nail color. Do I apply the builder gel after my usual gel base coat then apply gel color as usual? Also do I use 1 or 2 coats of builder gel?
I haven't tried it yet but just ordered some builder gel and researching online. From what I've read. Prep your nail first, then apply regular base coat, cure, then apply builder gel. Thin layers, one at a time, curing after each layer. Last, apply top coat, and cure. One or two layers, your preference 🙂
Back because I went and got mine done about a week ago and it wasn’t as nicely applied as you did but he did use the one in the jar so idk if that makes a difference, mine still came out cute just not as natural looking
Wow that sway was insane!✨ love this technique
Thank you 🥰

@@sarabrant723 ahhh thank you so much! This is such a compliment ☺️
My question is, can you do this with clear tips?
Builder in a bottle is a lot different and much more easier to use than the builder gel in a jar.
I’ve never used the ones in a jar but I’ll take your word for it!!

Have you tried a slip?
This is the real technique. You don’t have to go too close to the sides or the base of your nails.

Me too, lo...we'll get there for sure , we have some strength now
This is a great reference for how to do a gel overlay! I love it
What is a gel overlay?
@@palestar828 I think it’s when you just lay gel over the bare nail.

Your natural nails are beautiful
You laid that gel like a pro🎉❤
Been using builder gel for almost two years. My nails are the longest they've ever been. Builder gel and cuticle oil always gets me right.

You should if you’re a natural nail girl x
Your hands are so pretty!❤😊 great job!😊
This technique is a must try! Thank you. The results were so smooth
Girllllll straight to the point 👉☝️
I LITERALLY said “OHHHHH!!!!” 😮this was SUPERB! Chef’s kiss!💋✨🔥
You did great! I love BIAB or Rubber Base. The builder is a bit stronger, but rubber base is good, too. It’s also not as thick if you’re a beginner
😱 amazing!!! I have to try this swipe method.
I need this. I’m tired of acrylic !
ooh i wanna see how they look now. Did you hold them upside down?
super efficient! i love your technique!
Thinking of doing this but with acrylic nail tips attached.
I just started using it two years ago, I'm addicted and I'm never going back to other methods because it's super easy also a fast way to do a overlay.
I love the natural look.
how can you fill this after 3-4 weeks? could you just file around the cuticle and then add more?
Great job! Love the song too It had me dancing lol You know what? Do you mind sharing the name of it? I’ll add it to my workout playlist.
Your nails look healthy sis, good work..😊
u make it look easy 😍😍😍
Thanks for this. I was applying it wrong ☺️👏🏾
the technique 🔥
What’s the point of builder gel? Does it help full coverage nails stay on longer??
So wait, the rubber base goes first then the builder gel. Straight away? How long do you cure for?
Usually the gel that you use will tell you on the bottle, I usually do at least 60 seconds. Also you do not have to use the rubber base with builder gel unless you want to, any base gel will work.
What product did you use for the gel build

Yes☺️
Superb!!! I do my nails often but still crash and burn with builder, lol!!!!
The jar one is better than the bottle since u know how much is left without guessing what's left in the bottle

Perfect technique! 😍
You did good I learned so much so fast thank you ❤
how do you prevent that burning sensation on your nails when curing?
