In terms of preventing bots from having the exp buff, whilst also serving the playerbase correctly. I think either having the exp buff after you hit max level on one character or exp buff up to the level of your highest level character would work. This forces people to learn their class, keeps the world active and keeps that alt incentive.
I'm really baffled by the "10 man raids are more casual friendly" argument. No, they're not. Pugs for 10 mans are like, "Must know fights, have full consumables, be GS high enough that you don't need loot. Will be checking parses."
25 Man raid pugs are like, "Need the following classes. Prefer people that can run out of fire."

I do not quite get what would be new about raiding MC with 20 man XD We had our first raid in classic with 27 preraid BiS geared dudes and it went down like butter... And that is without all the new runes! They will not even have to rescale the raids difficulty due to the increased player power in SoD!
I was summoned to culture for DMF buff. By an out of phase team. Ended up mailing then the 1g. Now I am suspicious if it wasn't an hacker bellow ground.

they reverted the change for pallies Seal of Martyrdom not procing art of war on a crit. now its just weapon procs and oil procs that dont effect it.
As a casual i disagree with it being hard to get 20 man together. It’s just fusing 2 10 man’s together. There’s about 100 being made at anyone time lol but 20 man raid is perfect. I would like to see 1 40 man at one point however as i haven’t experienced that yet in classic

20man is the way to go, 40man you’ll always get 3-5 people greifing the raid, hard/annoying to lead and to what cost?
20-man will be easier to raid-lead, also more fun to lead as well over a 10-man. Im currently been guildleading thru SOD and its an blast as im having ADHD it stimulate me so good!
Was also hosting ICC 10-25 in wotlk and i can say 20man would be just the sweet spot for me!
You can’t grief the vanilla raids. You just die in a fire while your raid continues to kill the boss
I still see the majority of players with no idea about half of classic mechanics, maybe they need less XP buffs so they have more time to learn :P

I tried SoD despite hating seasonal content. I loved phase 1 for the absurd gameplay changing runes and the very casual raid that was easily approachable by fresh characters and players. Phase 2 is raiding is much harder, numbers tuned way higher, and mechanics that are very binary pass/fail as well as inflexible to comp. At the moment I don’t think phase 3 is going to be worth it for my guild. We play SoD to mess around and for spouses to play with their partners in a casual setting. Phase 2 is killing that, phase 3 with 20 man raids will just be a hard stop.
I hope Blizzard changes their perspective and goes back to the phase 1 mindset.
Hard disagree on the 40 man raids. I quite enjoy 10 man raids WAY more. More social and personal instead of 40 people yapping or being told to shut up and keep comms clear. And the raids aren't hard enough to illicit 40 people anyways. I'm fine with 10/15 personally, but I'll compromise for 20 for others. I hope there are many more 10 mans along the way tho. The Group depends on you more and you can wipe because of that 1 person and less people getting carried. I honestly think people just like 40 man raids so they can netflix and chill essentially and just zone out like they do questing. I quite enjoy 10 mans because it's completely opposite.
People saying it's going to destroy guilds are the same people who claim the game is going to die anytime a hotfix arrives... Get a grip.
Things I still want from SoD: Dual Spec(I play Druid and play all specs w/e guild needs that week), Heroic or Hard Mode Dungeons that do not reward gear as good as raid gear, but some type of incentive maybe badges for something else to do rather than Raid logging, to keep Raids 10-15Man(I'll compromise to 20 though :D), and make the 10 Man Raids like Gnomergan harder or a choice of a harder difficulty if we want, Hire GM's and take care of these damn bots, and do more about Gold Buying... 4$/100g and people openly talking about doing it.

20 man raids gonna destroy some guilds for sure. 40 man was stated to be on the docket. Means you gotta ignore the small guild, tight community concept and go big or fail.

I think that the biggest problem with Blizzard and SoD is the fact that they promise too much raising the expectation only to deliver the same old and dusty content with few extra changes.

Why does everyone say we should keep 10 man raiding but make it drop worse gear. Why not the same gear as 20 man? The argument I always here is then no one would do 20 man. If thats the case doesn't it mean people perfere 10 man? if you have 2 raids with equal loot and eveyrone chooses to do the 10 man doesn't that mean people like 10 man more then 20 man?
I always thought the concept of 10man having less powerful versions of loot than a 20man soully because more people cleared the EXACT SAME content...is dumb af imo. I don't have as much time as the majority of these kids. it's been hard enough as it is with my guild falling apart in phase 2 and every guild I join having constant no shows, don't really wanna deal with these issues twice as much.

I am currently unsubbed. at the time of this writing it is midnight, so my sub ran out sometime yesterday. I wasn't planning on resubbing, because honestly, leveling is such a drag. And yes, I know it's suppose to be, to give it that "vanilla feel", but I don't care about "the vanilla feel", I came here to play vanilla "with some changes". this change to the XP boost is fantastic. I hate leveling. I think I'm gonna delete my level 15 mage and start over from level 1, I think it will be worth it for the gold I think.
They need to fix Warrior gear scaling, they just go up and up exponentially as they get better gear, no other class does... or maybe the Shaman does too, not sure, but this will make SoD look like WoW classic and I don't want that. I want someone else to compete with them and that will not be the case at level 60 unless they change the scaling of gear for Warriors.
19:45 the XP buff does mean that the mobs in the stockades will go Gray much faster, meaning the bots will stay there shorter, that is a good thing right? I think about 5 resets and you basically out leveled that dungeon and everything is gray in there, even the bosses.
The gold increase is going to offset by the fact you will be doing less quests and killing less mobs to achieve gold, but still have to purchase spells. There is no benefit to start over.
I am so tired of the same content though with a 10 and 20 man mode.
Nobody playing SoD wants 40 man raids.. been there, done that; it was not fun. You want continued success? Continue to make end game content accessible. Reduced / lower power loot in smaller raids will effectively kill the game. If you want 40 mans, classic era is alive and well.

@@jallop7918I’ve always thought that 40 man should exist but should be a different raid and slightly worse gear than the normal raid. That way there’s no need to run it, but it’s there for people that want to and gives decent gear
