How to Prepare Your Vehicle for Car Camping

Learn how to prepare your car or truck for car-camping where you sleep in your vehicle to save time and money. This setup can also be used for inexpensive travel where you sleep in rest stops, Walmart parking lots or other 24 hour establishments. I am using my 4Runner because it's stealth, gets great fuel economy 25mpg, and has a good amount of space.

After have a bear enter my camp ground where I was tent camping. I just started thinking about just pulling my back seat out and tricking out my Montero SUV. My floor has a wierdo floor. I'm going to have to make some kind of deck to span all the weird contours. Love the window scoop idea.

I know you've gotten rid of your 4runner and got a Prius but I'm way too tall to camp in a sedan so I'm looking at the 4runner. Thanks for the video.

dude I had the same set up in my four runner and the foam dont help. Had to many lumps from the folding seats and just killed my back and ribs. Had to remove back seats and get a twin air mattress.
