They said my hearing is perfect of a 5yr old, no hair follicle damage, and definitely not a nerve damage. But i do feel a slight pain on my right jaw. Please i need help to see what to do with my TMJ tinnitus. I would forever grateful for who so ever help me.

    • @tmjplus4299

      Jaw pain and tinnitus can be related. For example of the disc of you TMJ area is slipped then the condyle of the TMJ can be out of position thus causing jaw pain tinnitus and muscle clenching. The ear symptoms can be related to the disc out of position and then the condyle is distal or towards the ear so that the ligament from the back of the condyle of the TMJ that connects to the inner ear by the DM ligament I write about in this topic can contribute to tinnitus and headaches. Please call out office to schedule a consult or exam and cbct. www.tmjplus.com

    I have a pulsatile tinnitus related to my jaw. It varies when I move the jaw forward or open the mouth. When I chew, it looks like it is like a radio searching for a frequency.
    I started suffering from bruxism and has improved a lot after using mouthguards and having massages to relax the muscles.

      @Luixmai Před 2 lety

      2 months later, it still sounds but it has improved considerably. What I hear is the zoom sound caused by the blood torrent that goes to my left hear. Probably myt TMJ pressed some vessel and triggered all of this.

    What is the treatment

    • @tmjplus4299
      @tmjplus4299  Před 3 lety +2

      First you need an exam and cbct to evaluate all the possible connections to tinnitus symptom. Often times a distalized condyle from a retruded dental bite or slipped disc can cause changes to the inner ear from the pull of a ligament from the back of the TMJ condyle to the inner ear malleus bone. This can be a cause of tinnitus. Reposition the bite and mandible and stabilize the ligaments, disc and condyle to decompress can help. Again everyone is unique and a thorough exam must be done.
