    The pain behind my left eye, left eyebrow my left ear and in my cheek started in June of 2015 and it took 7 years and countless Doctors of many fields of practice and tens of thousands of dollars to finally get imaging that showed advanced arthritis and breakdown of both TM joints. Still after using an orthotic and count less PT the the ear pain has subsided but the pain behind my left eye, etc. is still persisting. That TMJ clinic gave up the PT after 9 months. They said that the eye pain is not related to the TMJD. I'm still seeking out relief. ANY IDEAS would be appreciated.

      @@blahblah7050 my source is basic biology. the jaw is made up of basal bone. the teeth are supported by alveolar bone. the alveolar bone is easy to change, the basal bone is hard to change. invisalign may be able to change dental arch, but it will not change the maxillary bone. the only way to enlarge the nasal airway is by using brute force on the maxilla to expand it.

      Again for a demonstration you need to be in the ground but it’s hard to set a camera on the ground and video tape. The company website has the best videos . I am merely trying to introduce concepts that tmj pain patients need to be aware of and consider. Several chiropractic offices introduce this posture pump as well due to most people forward head posture and looking down at devices . The role of occlusion , tmj and posture is very important for tmjd.

      @@tmjplus4299 My dentist doesn’t specialize in TMJD stuff, (not to the extent you do that’s for sure), so I feel like there is definitely more that could have been done to help me figure things out… but I live in a small town so resources here are very limited. But she basically told me my issues are muscular and/or based on the disc slipping out of place. Based on a panoramic X-ray she took of me she said the bones themselves looked healthy. I wish she could have done tests in the way that you are able to - I just have a night guard that she made for me that I feel protects my teeth which is good… but I don’t grind my teeth, I clench my jaw, so it just feels like I have something to bite down on in my mouth during the night now… but it’s still early, so going to see if/how my jaw feels overtime using the night guard. She said it should help allow my jaw to rest/relax more at night now… so hopefully that somehow ends up being true. I wish I could know how much pressure is getting applied (like the test you have). Because I think I’m clenching a lot more during the night and the day than I can notice on my own.

    • @BubbleMonkey15
      @BubbleMonkey15 Před rokem

      It also feels kind of frustrating that she can tell my jaw deflects to one side (and feels like the disc it popping out of place - if I stick my tongue out too far and if I open wide, like to floss my teeth for example). And it felt like she didn’t think those were issues? It feels very “not right” for my body to have something quirky like that going on but her response was as though either A) It’s not a big deal or B) there’s nothing that can be done to fix it, so she just didn’t mention much about it? I don’t know… just felt odd to not get more information about what could be done to help that, if anything. Makes me wonder… does that mean my jaw will deflect like this forever? That’s just how my jaw functions forever now? Or could it actually be reversed in the future somehow? (I know you can’t diagnose or anything over the internet… I just felt I definitely could use a specialist who understands and has equipment to test for more things, like you). 😌

Hope to hear back from you soon.

      Thanks for your question. Our office works with a team of dentist , myofunctional therapist and osteopath physician. This collaboration is important to achieve optimal results . Myofunctional therapy is done first to prepare the teetered oral tissues. Poor breathing habits , weak tongue and poor swallowing all have to be addressed first before frenectomy. Then tbody work is done by the osteopath physician to work on fascia from tongue connection to neck and shoulders and even to core . The guided release means that all 3 provides above mentioned are working together as a team in the surgery and also post release healing and after care Myofunctional therapy. My office would not given a fee until I see the patient due to a diagnosis would need to be done first and address If you are even a candidate , have a sleep study , are able to breathe through your nose and what is the size and shape of your dental arched to determine if you even have room for a tongue release . Evaluating your jaw size is broad enough is important prior yo a tongue release.I don’t work with an anesthesiologist for this procedure as the patient has to participate with the above providers therefore that information would not have been stated from my team . I would encourage you to call and make an appointment for a consultation and then clarifying how I may help you .

    I have a pulsatile tinnitus related to my jaw. It varies when I move the jaw forward or open the mouth. When I chew, it looks like it is like a radio searching for a frequency. I started suffering from bruxism and has improved a lot after using mouthguards and having massages to relax the muscles.

      2 months later, it still sounds but it has improved considerably. What I hear is the zoom sound caused by the blood torrent that goes to my left hear. Probably myt TMJ pressed some vessel and triggered all of this.
