I'm not quite sure how buying 6 fittings and the other parts needed and spending all that time is better than just buying the 6 way fitting in the first place. Even if the exact fitting is not available it would be much better to make a manifold out of tees.

The piece you built is not rated for high water pressure. It will fail very quickly. Best bet is to build a manifold using tees. Sure, it may cost more than a six way (because they are hard to find) but it won't fail.

Still, I would have gotten a pack of rubber washers instead of the bike tire, but that's me. So, a few points:
This is not remarkable. You just made a distribution box.
You modified fittings, which is a no-no in nearly all code jurisdictions.
The parts cost alone is way more than a six way fitting.
The time spent modifying all these parts and putting them together is probably more than what it would have taken to get a six way at the local hardware store.
The distribution box is made of substantially thinner material than the pipes, so you just invalidated the pressure rating of the entire system.
The only benefit of this is that it will likely distribute more evenly than a six way 5 it is basically just a small low-pressure tank.
Interesting but it's definitely not worth the effort.

If it was the end of the world scenario, I could see this becoming worth doing. Though I would rather buy a figure 5 fitting. A few things your 3 or 4 inch pipe is thin wall so therefore, it wouldn't hold up to pressure water. I also think that you bought sewer pipe for potable water instead of pressure PVC. The next thing is you didn't use primer or the correct glue for potable water. Also, even though you put made washers in that it will not hold for long. You should have used pipe dope and Teflon tape as well as the washers. You don't have to take my word for it. I've just been plumbing for 25 years. 😊

The cost of doing this whole ting would be a higher price, plus the time it took you to make it (figure an hour at least), plus the rubber gaskets are going to be your big failure point here. If this is all you had to work with then at least you can do it; however, it isn't along term solution for something that will last.
