Wow. Congratulations on the old penny. Worth alot of money
Thank you. Thanks for sharing my friend.
Excellent finding that old Indian-head cent, finding something like that is as rare as “hen’s teeth!” I was just as happy as you were with that find !
Great finding those old shotgun head stamps too. You’re really adding some rare and interesting ones to your collection.
That piece of metal looked like the broken end off of a plow moldboard to this old farm boy, too.
Thanks for taking us along…and stay well.
Your very welcome. Thanks for sharing my friend.
Great video sir thanks for sharing this video with us all be you be safe and GOD BLESS y’all Amen 🙏
Thanks, you too my friend.
Great hunt, back in the 70's I use to hunt Chicago and the woods that surrounded that city and found lots of coins back then. I did find a mercury dime when they put the new highway through Tazewell several years back.
That's great my friend. I have noticed that no matter how much you find in an area you always go back and find more that you missed. Thanks for sharing.
Interesting finds.
Thanks. They are rare out in the middle of these woods for sure. Thanks for watching.
I got some old money, wheat Pennies, buffalo nickels, silver dollars, different things, that use to be my fathers! He sold it to my uncle years and years ago! When my uncle passed I got some of it back! 🥰🙌🏼❤️🙌🏼
Thanks for sharing this my friend.
Nice find!
Thank you friend.
I hunt Tn as well, I've found more head stamps than coins, folks a 9:40 round here had few coins to loose, we find similar things, I find alot of plow related items, and these woods are covered in old roads. Love your videos.
Awesome my friend. Thanks for sharing. The coins are far and in between that's for sure. God bless you my friend. Stay safe.
Great video!!!

Great find with the penny! I was surprised at how deep and it's date. Been laying there many years. I have one and I love it! Congratulations!
Thank you Teressa. It was deep and in hard rocky soil to. Thanks for the comment my friend.
What you call musket ball, we called minnie balls. We used to find them a lot. Along with Indian arrow heads and quartz crystal. I sure miss those times in the woods. ❤️
Thanks for sharing my friend.
Great hunt Donnie! You found someone’s lucky penny!
I hate That. NOT! 😎Thanks for the commenting.
I believe in some areas, the people had such a challenging time earning money, that they were super careful with what had. Carelessness in the days where a penny had real value, could be costly for a family. Literally. Seems like a reasonable explanation to why in some areas so little money is found.
Thank you for taking us along on your adventures!
Very true! Your very welcome. Thanks for sharing my friend.
Cool
There's all kinds of old civil war stuff around in these parts
My brother found a cannon ball on his property when he was making a garden place, he turned it over to the old Cotton patch restaurant to display with the other things they had but the restaurant closed and I don't know where the cannon ball is now
Have a good one 🧡🇺🇸🎗️
The restaurant was at Parkers Crossroads, it's still a restaurant but it's different and is called Patty's now
This is a huge civil war area and they used to have the re in actments out in the field at Crossroads area
Brothers fighting against brothers
My granddad had family where that was the case one brother fought for the South and the other for the North
That oval piece looks like it could be part of a bridal for the mules
Love the blue glass 👍
WOW Thanks for sharing this my friend.
Thank you Lonnie for hearing my concern 😟 Nancy
Your welcome. Thanks for sharing my friend.
Sorry I meant Donnie and I will continue to enjoy your channel Nancy
@@nancyfort9338 Your fine Nancy. What I am finding in these old Tennessee hills is old shotgun shells from a 100 years ago from people hunting to feed their families. Thanks for the comment my friend.

I would say a old hunter from way back.
I’m as glad as you are finding that penny. That cave may be a interesting place. You checking the rocks is a good idea.
Thanks Bobby. I can't pass up a rock ledge or cave without checking it out. Snakes are coming out and the ticks are already here. Thanks for the comment.
That bent over tree in front of that cave at 11 mins in! Looks like a you know what marked it ?!
No I don't, but someone did 40- 50 years ago.
Thanks for your videos. I’m from Middle Tennessee and love East Tennessee. One day I’ll be there full time. Glad I found your channel!
@@derekowenjr3599 Welcome aboard my friend. Enjoy the channel.

If those hills could talk
What history they could tell my friend.
Congratulations on ihp
Thank you my friend.
Your back must be like mine lol I have to get down on the ground to, no bending over
Not just that. I am an old maintenance guy from the mining industry and would rather lay down and fix something than bend over anytime. You know the feeling my friend. Thanks for commenting and watching.
I just came across your channel. I just love it. I wish I had the equipment and someone to go with, it must be so much fun. I enjoy watching you. I hope you don't mind if I say I really like the way you talk, beautiful sing-song way. It is very relaxing to listen to you.

Thank you. Will do. Thanks for the comment my friend.
That thing you didn't know what it was... Could it be from some sort of old strap or harness? Just a thought.
Could be my friend. Thanks for sharing.
One place many people would hide money also was around there outhouses because nobody would go dig around them
Thanks for sharing my friend.
That's a good find like you say it's hard to find money out on the old roads in the middle of nowhere enjoyed your video Donnie
Thank you 👍 Thanks for sharing my friend.
Congrats on the IHP great hunt my friend
Thanks Rusty. I don't find very many in these old woods. Thanks for watching.
Awesome finding! what is that pocket detector called and where I can get one?
Pointer detector, You can get them anywhere. Look on Amazon.
Loved the old penny! What did the other side look like?
I did not think to show it. Dumb me. It said one cent on the back in the center. Thanks Greg.
Milt here the deeper you go the better chance you got to get a good coin Do you have a Knox milt
Thanks for sharing my friend.
I wouldn't think you would find many old coins in the woods. Money was too damn valuable back then. I would assume people would get down on the ground and look for it. A quarter or fifty cents might mean the difference between a week's worth of groceries or not.
I don't very often.
TY. Are these your woods your on with abandoned roads? :-)
Yes my friend.
Every time you get a target I'm rooting for it to be silver.
Awesome my friend.
When you put your trowel down and it rolled down the hill- I thought that is Tennessee mountains. A lot of work just walking in them.
Sometimes it's worse than that. Thanks for sharing my friend.
Do u find many knives
No not many, but I get find a 1850's pocket knife once.
Hey sir
Hello there.
nice finds ..liked and subscribed..im sure you been doing this along time.....my question is....why the equinox...???what detectors have u used before it??...i out hunt all modern days machines with a 2 knob tesoro cutlass 2 umax..
Welcome aboard my friend. I have only started metal detecting little over a year and a half ago now. I first started out using the Teknetics Delta 4000 detector and It's a great machine simple to use. I still love and use it. Only reason i use the Equinox is so when i get in a lot of trash i can tell the deference between targets. ( Iron. Copper, Brass, Aluminum, silver, Gold, etc..) I wanted to know what was down there, not just that something was down there around these old house sites. There can be 1000's of targets at a site. SO which do you dig? Like the lottery! If i can ever learn it. I'm still learning my friend and by no means an expert. So i have to use it to learn it like anything else. Nothing wrong with older machines for finding things at all and i fully understand. Thanks so much for your comment and subscribing my friend.
