- In this video we will be unboxing and showing you how to put on a Cartier SM love bracelet. This particular piece is 18k rose gold comprises of the iconic screw motifs around the outer edge complemented with 177 round brilliant cut pave set diamonds in between. The diamonds have a total weight of 0.95ct. The size 19 bracelet features a lever hinged clasp fitting and has a gross weight of 19.8 grams.

These things are built terribly. I purchased one from Cartier, had to have the mechanism replaced twice in four years, and I barely wear it. They keep unlocking themselves. Complete joke for the amount of money they want..
Yes it happens. I almost dropped it while I was walking on street which scared the sht out of me. When you lock it, it’s better not to use your nail but the screw driver. You gotta make tiny turns with the screw driver to make sure it’s locked properly.
Is there any way you can break this lock off keep turning it?
I assume to unlock, you can turn clockwise or anti clockwise, right?

Is it good for daily wear?
Hi Edward, yes the SM range is great for daily wear with its easy to open mechanism and thin profile. Once its on you soon forget its there and becomes a great statement jewellery piece for the wearer.

I’m going to try to answer you. I bought two of these 2 years ago and I only took them off a couple of times when I had to get an mri, where you cannot have any metal on you. I wear both of mine every day and they only have very minor signs of wear , like a tiny scratch from normal wear. I feel that these bangles are the best thing I ever bought, I love them so much, and they make me happy every time I look at them. It is really my favorite purchase of my lifetime. Go for it. Get one.

Would you say that this mechanism is safer then the 2 screw Locke?

Hi Morokiya, well this is a good question we they are really different systems and I would say this is the same as the new style.
My reasoning behind this is that the notch can wear over time and if not opened and closed properly. Then it can be opened easier.
