if you listen carefully at 54:00, the scream that you hear on 55:11 was on the creepy girl who came up at Paul's bedroom

I almost missed Alex’s ghost but saw it at the last minute. Then when I went to rewind 10sec it freezes on the ghost in the plaid shirt which I completely missed the first time! Also thanks for the time stamps. I literally went straight to the comments to see if anyone else noticed that.

The scene in the bedroom...top notch...these creators knew not to over think the scares...Simple can be soo effective...case & point..right here.
Scene with ghost girl and Paul hiding under the blanket is scary.
Shame they over did it with a trilogy.
I recommend you to watch Muni by raghava lawrence , its more haunting than this🥲

I'm not a big fan of "found footage" movies, but I have to say this is a crackerjack film.
It's a bit "meh" at the start but soon warms up, has some genuinely goosebumps moments, and a really nice ending.
Well worth watching.

Nah, I guess it was ok, but I really didn't get it. I mean, I understand the dolls/mannequins were coming to life, but there were no satisfactory explanations. Like, were there spirits possessing them, and if so, who were the spirits, and why are they doing this? And the people disappearing and reappearing- where do they go? And why do they come back evil? I assume they're possesed like the mannequins, but again, no explanations. It was not well-written or thought out, imo, they strictly went for lowbrow creepiness factor with nothing intelligent behind it for backstory- just "hey wouldn't it be creepy if these mannequins came to life & started possessing & killing people?" and that was all the pre-writing they did before starting production.💀 Again, I just personally found it very lowbrow. Im more into psychological thrillers than horror anyway- I think I have trouble with suspension of disbelief (same reason I don't like sci- fi)- like, if it's not real (and imo monsters, evil spirits, etc are not real & actually a very juvenile thing to believe in), I can't get into it. But movies that are more subtle (not "horror slasher, gore" etc) and based upon hypothetical scenarios that could actually happen, those are the kind of movies that sometimes genuinely scare and/or stick with me. (A recent example that comes to mind is a movie called John and the Hole. It's not suppose to be a horror movie, but it was to me.)
Female Actress in the basement was the victim for sure, Joe had the key and ran off, she sat there realizing there was no way out, in the end she was the first victim and Joe was (Theoretically) the last
I felt really sorry for her as there was still time to unlock the chains. Makes me wonder if actual actors are fake chained, in case of an emergency, like a fire or something.
She said in reality the shackles were too big and she had trouble holding her hands over her head to look like she was really shackled.
One of the finest Horror Films ever made. 1-3 were all great.

The first half of the movie was genuinely scary. As the movie continued, and got dug out longer and longer, it really just lost its scary aspect and just turned from actual paranormal to what felt like a cult killer. all in all, the movie was okay.

I come back to this movie every so often and it's by far one of my favorite FF horror movies, right up there with Devil's Pass.

Thanks so much for deciphering the reverse speech and sharing it with us! I was curious about what she said too. I wish it sounded a little freakier though. A bit of a missed opportunity and not much of a payoff for someone who goes through he trouble of translating it, like yourself. This movie is a masterpiece. Atleast I can say that, theater horror movies can not give us those thrilling then this movie. I love this movie.

After seeing the Blair Witch Project, I can now see past the spooky and jump scares. Too many things were just too corney for me. The piano player had his hair poking out, and other little things that I caught. But if you have never seen anything like this then I can see how it might be creepy.
I personally never understood the hype for bwp I didn’t really get spooked but I respect your opinion.

I did end up watching it up to the closing credits but the Devil knows why. As a wrap up I will admit that it is watchable but for a more consistent viewing experience I would go with The Weather Channel.

BUT sometimes I was also scared, cigarettes helped me a lot.
I remember the summer where my cousin and I shared the same room and we were both so bored so she pulls a wild card and gets me to watch this at 1 am. I remember the scene with the clown doll creeped me out. We were at my great aunt's house (it's a big house), and getting a soda after that had us on edge. 😅😂

I love found footage movies!
I kinda wish I had watched this when it came out though. (Possible spoiler so I'll keep my comment vague!) Watched too many horror movies now and guessed the "twist" so to speak based on the dialogue in the interview near the start. I can only imagine how much past-me would've have loved it!
Watching this now cause Paranormal Files will be premiering their own investigation into this establishment on Tuesday,very interesting and spooky and something tells me to be careful with looking into this situation.

Ok I was listening to this with my headphones on the first half I heard perfectly then when Tony and Mac were in the field my headphones had an underwater sound for the rest of the time. I took them off and the sound was normal . I put them back on and had my husband listen and it was the underwater sound. He said it might just be the headphones so I tried another video and they played perfect. Has this happened to anyone else. I know this is going to sound silly but did this really Happen!!!! Tomorrow at 6-630 central time The Paranormal Files is doing their documentary on this house... Check it out! What was Mac explaining to Tony why he couldn't leave or why they had to stay?
