wasn't there a bonus track? with vocals
@@hunterkaz2974 I avoided that track just in case for copyright
Congratulations to Team Asano for Triangle Strategy selling 1 million copies worldwide!
Absolute phenomenal game.
Good news!!! I love this game, one of my favorite games ever.
Honestly its become my favorite game of all time. I absolutely love the idea of morality vs. utility vs. liberty that the game presents. If you play the game blind you really start to see which you seem to value based on the choices you made. Even better in the golden ending we get the realization that all three values are equally important and that there is always a better solution to an issue than relying on one value or conviction to guide you. The philosophical theme of the game, the rpg turn based combat, the world and character designs just all sum up to a beautiful work of art. My only complaint is the title of the game is so lame. I hope more people give this game a shot because it really nails alot of excellent areas
The title of the game makes sense given that it plays off of the game's main motifs with the conviction system. It's even better when you realize three of the four major characters all pivot conviction at different points in the game.
@@rhapsodyrascal4698 that's an astute observation. I think it's natural for people to try to justify what they want with the logic/principle that is necessary. That's why I like these principles being called 'convictions'; it's difficult to stick to just one of them and it takes a resolute mind to make the right choices.
It’s a phenomenal game. I found myself questioning almost every decision which most “choose your path” type games fail to do. I’m hoping we get a sequel or spiritual successor in the future.
I do agree with you on most things, I too was absolutely stunned by the magnificence of the characters' motives and how understandable they were, especially because of their backstories. The multiple choice system was especially great, as they gave you these little optional stories that give more depth and weight to your decision and change your reasoning. The arguments are also so great and incredibly well fleshed out. I remember wanting to take the Frederica route but getting actually persuaded by Benedicts and Eradors words, FICTIONAL CHARACTERS changing my point of view, something that I have never seen before. So yeah, the game is phenomenal. However, the first 3 chapters are in my opinion a let down. If you get to the game, it literally bombards you with (at that time) uninteresting lore and many characters are introduced at the same time, resorting to me just remembering their names until they came up later in the story.
Still a masterpiece though.
@@dickdoof6116 What's the difference between reading a piece of text attributed to a character in a video game rather than reading a piece of text without any author? You really have never been persuaded by anything you found online?
May this game get the recognition it deserves!
Isn't it a Switch exclusive?
@@spacewargamer4181 Yes, but I wouldn't be surprised if it got a PC release down the line like Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default II
@@TheGamerGeek128 it most certainly will, Square charge a bulk ton of money for true exclusive. If i remember, nothing is kept permament on gamepass, meaning, even microsoft cannot pay the permament amount for square games.
Sadly games like this aren’t super popular among gamers it’s sad because it’s my favorite genre but I can’t even recommend it to any of my friends because they dislike turn based games I do hope it sells well enough they make more because they are such good games with so much heart put into them
I got it digital but I’m debating getting it physical as well just to support this game I really like!
the true GOTY of 2022 so far, but as always with these Japanese rpgs it is underestimated, even more so if it has retro graphics
Amen
It wont just. Because elden ring, and that's fair, but I wanna see it on the board!
A nomination in Game of the Year and Best Narrative is just enough
Lol the “retro” graphics is what sold me. I’m a sucker for the HD-2D style. It feels nostalgic while staying modern as well.
Over the past month and a half I put 250 hours into the game, getting every path and enjoyed nearly every minute, partially helped by the incredible OST.
This is one of the best soundtracks of our time. And one of the best games of our time. I am in shock at how underrated this masterpiece was, but I'm glad enough people here seem to have recognized how amazing it is.
I haven't felt for a game like this since Final Fantasy Tactics. Triangle Strategy deserves a place amongst the greatest.
Hard agree! This game scratched all the right spots for me and continued to deliver!
It's 100% the best strategy RPG game ever made. And there have been some amazing ones.
Benedict's battle is an absolute masterpiece
Absolutely, I can't believe how impressive the whole track is, it's like his character is manifested in it
@@regiesrules I love how it still has the melancholy tone of the original but with the trumpets it shows how far he is willing to go no matter the cost.
It's like a Gundam soundtrack from the UC era
Need it as a separate video so I can loop it fr fr

Frederica: You sniveling excuse for a lord! Do you not have a single conviction?
I know right? I did her route first and my god this theme is so so good!
It’s the best. There, I said it. Honestly, Until That Day is in my top five video game songs ever at this point.
I loved this song too, i sat there listening to it for a while
You can just pick a random point in the video and it'll be amazing
2:34:39 I live for this violin part. This sound track is just incredible
I knew i wasnt the only simp for this song !!
@@xander7146 I'm joining the simp ranks with this one!
1:42:50 is a masterpiece. Sets the tone INSTANTLY. The battle carries a lot of emotions and hopes and this soundtrack just elevates the experience even further. And those trumpets man...so good.
Triangle Strategy has been an amazing game and has exceeded my expectations.
I swear, that was the hardest battle ever. Got in on my first route, and boy, Avlora is no pushover. But hearing this song over and over made it worthy.
I can't remember in which battle this is used.
This played during the final battle with the Holy one. Took a few tries to beat it. The song really elevated the experience.
@@Eu023 The End of Exharme (Benedict Route Ch. 19) and that one where you infiltrate Whiteholm, Aelfric the ships, kill Thalas and Erika, and fight Avlora (then Roland duels her)
There may be more
@@4sety I think it also played in the final battle before fleeing to Centralia, that battle was one of my favourites because the hieorephant was in it
I knew it!!!, is the same compositor as the Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood OST. It has the same feeling and i love it.
I played this first and now watching FMAB there are a select few tracks that are almost identical and i love it
Akira Senju sure knows how to make great waltzes.
The music sounds amazing, but I expected nothing less from the genius who also composesd the Soundtrack for Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood.
This game now shares a spot in my memory core for the remainder of my life. Truly a 10/10 game.
3:32:53 The Goddess Smiles is such a pretty track, I love it so much
This makes me very emotional . For me ot depicts the tragedy of rosellan people
This one and also the diary of orlaea. god this song give me chills every time i listen to it
Crimson Might at 1:50:44 reminds me heavily of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood so I went digging for the track. What I found was that Akira Senju worked on both soundtracks. What a legend.
Edit: I've been listening to this soundtrack for weeks now doing everyday things and one thought keeps popping into my mind: how is every track such a banger.
I instantly knew what soundtrack you meant! That was the one that got me highly suspicious that I might know the composer..and I did indeed from the greatest Anime ever created.
Resolute Heart at 1:42:50 and Crimson Might are the two that remind me most of Fullmetal. It feels like Senju puts musical stamps in his works or something, absolutely love it.
That track in particular really reminded me of the FMAB track “the Intrepid”!! Senju is great
IIRC this is the track they played during combat for the demo. IS it the same for the full game?
About a year later, I have come to love Benedict's Battle aka "No matter the cost". The constant marching beats make you think of his resolve to keep moving forward with his plans in spite of all the swirling emotions as portrayed by the smooth melodic lines on the violin and woodwinds. When the blaring trumpets go off it sounds as though he has to forcibly tear himself away from it all to keep moving forward.
Selecting the best musical score throughout our journey thus far is a decision not to be made lightly...
Pray retrieve the Scales of Conviction 19:51, I would hear my comrades' thoughts on the matter.
Why is this not top comment
It is time to cast our votes
Do we consider this ost as one of the best? Or do we choose another ost?
Aproach the scales of conviction with your token at the ready.
I belive this is one of the best ost and you have better luck talking to a stone wall 👌
My mind's all made up. You've got my vote, lad!
*clink*
Be forewarned, it shall take some convincing to say me. I favor the main theme and Combat March.

1:39:38 The Hierophant's Palace slaps harder than Will Smith
The Hierophant's Palace at 1:39:38 is breathtaking. All of the Hyzantian music is really good, but the palace theme is incredible, I always looked forward to those cutscenes even if Hyzante is.... flawed.
The way the choir swells in the background is immaculate, for lack of a better word
The Goddess teachings says otherwise.
The only flawed one is You heretic! If only You loved the Goddess and her teachings more, you would find it in your heart to not spew such insolence!
The Saintly Seven would disagree
Flawed? There are no flaws in Ba Sing S... Ahem.. in Hyzante.
Honestly, one of only 3 games that I can solidly say is 10/10. The only others being Xenoblade Chronicles DE and Library of
Ruina. Griping story where your choices actually have consequences, amazing OST, beautiful graphics, and some of the best combat I've ever seen. I truly believe that if more people had played this game it would've been Goty 2022. It certainly was in my book.
Unshaken conviction is one of the most underrated songs In the game. It usually plays after voting, and does a perfect job of conveying the excitement and danger that just came from your decision.
25:39 is my personal favorite.
It really drives home that we're in a War and that we'll survive through any and all odds. Very grandeous, but also gives a sense of homecoming.
It tells a story of Pride, Honor, and Victory!
22:22 Stuck in my head for obvious reasons. So memorable too
100% agree sometimes I will just stay in unit select just to hear Arise, warriors
The start with the trumpets is just epic.
2:41:05 Benedict's Path is such a mood right there, and I love every bit of it
In my opinion Benedict is the most well written character in this game and has the best tracks.
@@thetactlesstactician7703 I'd say Roland is more well written, but yeah Benedict does have the best tracks and is a great character.
@@yone5499 Roland was great until the last path which lead to the worst and most stupid ending
@@ZnikoH I thought the exact opposite. He seemed like a boring character until the last path. Only then did I see how well the game had written him up to the point.
ENDINGS SPOILERS ALERT:
I picked Benedit's plan first at the end. None of the plans sounds great but Benedict made the most sense for me. For my second run I did a lot of other things but when I reached the end I still wanted to side with Benedict. I picked Frederica purely because I wanted a different ending.
Roland is driven by revenge and doesn't think clearly at all.
Frederica's plan is nobel, but it's running away from responsibility and opportunities. Plus the timing is all wrong and involves a huge risk. The best time to run away, sure, but that's it.
Benedict is driven by personal grudges and stuck in the past, also sides with Aesfrost. But his plan does answer some critical matters: Hyzant's salt monopoly, the Roselle, house Wolfforth's position in the realm, to name a few.
Benedict is the only one who had the house at the front and knew we have no reason to answers demands from anyone. We have the mines, Hyzant lost the monopoly with Wolfforth being a competitor, Aesfrost just want the monopoly to be gone and we have the answer for it. Now Hyzant can go f**k themselves and Aesfrost depends on Wolffort's salt. We won the game of thrones.
I spent so long not moving the dialogue forward and listening to 2:34:05 while playing through. I've been rewatching Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood recently too and realized today Akira Senju did both. So amazing.
Yes!!!!!! I agree! I was wondering where this song was! Thank you for pointing it out! I should be farther in the game but I’m not because of this song. 😂
3:53:20 My personal favourite
I almost cried when I heard the change of battle music during the final battle. We were hopeless, but along with the people crossing the bridge with every step with determination and with the beats of this track get more and more lighting up, so does our hope. At that point I know, we will prevail.
This Game has impacted me deeply. I'm in Love with the Soundtrack, the Story and the different amount of endings/paths that you can achieve. It was everything i hoped for when I bought the Game. I really hope It ends up becoming the recognition it deserves.
Combat - Destiny is the coolest thing I’ve ever heard.
2:45:10 - 3.13 Combat -Mines is SO GOOD! The vocalizing really makes it sound climactic.
One of the best battle themes, imo
Combat Mines has no business being SO FUCKING GOOD for a theme for a battle that happens only once. It's crazy how absolutely STACKED this soundtrack is.
My favorite too
3:39:09
ローゼル族を守る時の素晴らしいBGM!!
I've since associated 16:13 with the scales more than the track named after it because that's where I spend more time (talking to everyone and finding the extra dialogue options)
Combat- Mines is my favorite track of the whole game
Reminds me of old Halo soundtracks haha
This ost is just wow.
1:30:58 it suits Svarog so well. From the melancholic tone, to the militaristic melody, and the times it plays, its perfect for a tragic man with a strong sense of duty and love for his son.
I am always glad to see some appreciation for Chagrin Concealed, I always liked Svarog as a character, (His English VA is incredible, one of the best in the game.) and to see him break in Roland's path made me love him as a character as his desperation and suicidal actions felt entirely justified from his perspective. This song is incredible as it perfectly complements the characters it stands for, Dragan and Svarog.
@@HighPriestFuneral i completely agree. i really loved dragan as a character and it was so sad how he died and his dad dealt with it. can you imagine losing your child?
@@HighPriestFuneral i also loved the mine songs as i related them to dragan. they were also 'sad' like
It what’s even better about it is that I think that we first hear this theme with Dragan
Svarog’s scenes at the end of Roland’s route is probably the best voice acting in the game. Massive props to Andy Barnett.
This game gave me all the good feelings I had when I was a little potato playing Ogre Battle 64 all those years ago. Such a fantastic game
The trumpets didn't have to go all in at the end of their phrase starting at 3:56:08, but they DID! Whew that gets me so good when they're just going for it at the end!
The trumpets really carried some of these pieces. What an eye opening experience this soundtrack is.
Crimson Might at 1:50:44 is so darn underrated.
I’m aware it plays during cutscenes and a majority of mid-game battles, but nobody’s talking about how good it sounds.
Not only that, but when it does play, it fits the mood of the cutscene/battle really well.
From what I remember, Crimson Might plays in the following battles (spoilers, don’t scroll down if you haven’t seen)
- Chapter 6, on the bridge fight with Maxwell
- Chapter 12, only if you choose to hand over the Roselle to Hyzante, the other route where you defend the Roselle, plays Frederica’s theme.
- Chapter 13, only if you choose to destroy the ship. On the second or third turn, when Erika comes in, Crimson Might pkays.
Didn't it play on the very first map we ever got to play, in the earliest demo? It made a really good first impression, for me.
It's fantastic I agree
Crimson Might is a fantastic battle theme. For me, I consider it to be the "Oh Shit!" theme. Because it always plays for the battles that are hard and or really challenging.
My fave song from this amazing masterpiece, it sounds majestic...
Es cierto. Es una obra de arte ese tema.
Unwavering Spear -Roland's Battle is so damn good. Some of these really harken back to the Tactics Ogre ost, awesome stuff.
Akira Senju has special talent and preference in Strings arrangement, which make his music very easy to stand out from others
Did he also do Octopath Travellers?
@@lateblossom Late, but no, Octopath’s soundtrack was composed by Yasunori Nishiki
@@theleftfootedsultan Thanks Sultan~
Absolutely love 2:06:41 Merriment. chorus kind of soundslike a gameshow theme
One of the best soundtracks since the nobuo uematsu's era
A lord's duty is so melancholic.
Arise, Warriors is one of my favourite... A masterpiece
Honestly I loved this game so so so much. Such amazing music and characters and story. When I listen to yearning for freedom it gets me so excited to play through this amazing journey again. Absolutely phenomenal game
2:52:13 is maybe my fave, the tension of the lower line, the march tempo, the blare of the horn section, the fanfare that seems a little too dark, the way none of the resolutions feel fully resolved. plays a couple of times outside combat too, but is REALLY good for amping up tension when u lose half ur units in a fight

It wasn't my favorite game, but the OST did become one of my top soundtrack of all time.
I knew the soundtrack was going to be amazing as soon as the main menu theme started playing.
3:08:45 . The Grand Duchy of Aesfrost AMAZING
THANK YOU. It is.
Clearly one of the best for me!!

This song gives me unbelievable amounts of energy and excitement for the battle ahead.

Was trying to find this song - thank you so much!
The Grand Duchy of Aesfrost is one of those music tracks that makes you wonder woah who thought to make a track so good
The one at 1:59:34 is also amazing. This OST has so many highlights!
Roland and Benedict's themes literally give me chills
27:28 is my favorite passage of the whole OST
Yea this is just the level of a masterpiece
Really reminds me of the music from Skies of arcadia a really brilliant rpg i wish there was a remaster or a sequel too.
@@balmungkai what piece does it reminds you ? I'm curious
MINE TOO
So good!
After 100+ hours gameplay, heard the main theme on the main menu still makes me drop tears. So touchable.
Do u mean the normal one or the song of triangle strategy?
@@AlanJia8 The normal one. The song of triangle strategy emotion expression is slower than the normal one.
@@BloodyOrchidDC I'd say it's much faster personally.
Unshaken Conviction is such a good jam
Absolutely masterful OST, and used to great effect in the game. So many of these tracks produce such strong emotions!
Agree 100% with all the picks by commenters so far, but I want to draw attention to "Deep within the Ground" 00:38:04, it's kind of the Grand Norzelian Mines theme but also gets used in other places too, and always brings this wonderful, slightly melancholy, haunting feel. Love it!
1:15:09 the first 20 seconds never fails to hype the hell out of me. So freaking good.
This recurring theme is my fave
2:09:36 - 38. Yearning for Freedom
4:04:14 - 70. Frederica’s Path
Seriously, I have some kind of trauma against the recorder after the titanic meme, but it is such a good solo instrument that completely meet the mood here.
such good songs love these kind of songs
Don’t forget 3:39:10
Seriously an amazing game. What an incredible soundtrack, there are so many tunes I love.
Combat - Adversity is soo great, I always love when it comes up. It has such momentum.
No Matter The Costs and Destiny are something else.
1:57:52 Archduke Gustadolph theme was so good. The battle with this music on is really intense lol
10 hours in, it’s like final fantasy tactics and fire emblem had a child together. Tons of fun, love the SRPG genre.
I really enjoyed "68. Combat -Destiny". That Erika/Thalas battle was probably the hardest battle for me in the entire game, and the soundtrack was equally epic. This is the only song with electric guitar.
Hands down my favorite song.
The fight on the bridge, right? I cheated pretty hard on that one. Hard Mode New Game + makes you kind of creative x)
I'd send everyone at the bottom of the map, thanks to the ladders you start next to, and have enemies follow one by one. Decimal really shone, there, with its AoE that hits any enemy at least 5 planes higher.
@@VonFirflirch Thanks for saying that, literally starting to fight them rn
Something about the start of this track really reminds me of one of the songs in Undertale but I can’t put my finger on it 😓
@@arasretep Battle With a True Hero, Undyne's fight in a No Mercy run.
Combat - Valor and States of Hyzante are just masterclass
Amazing game, amazing OST
Thank you dude
Yearning for Freedom gave me chills during certain story events
42:16 Ideals and Reality is one of my favorite.
Resolute Heart played at very crucial moments, I really liked this one
Still hoping this game gets a sequel come on square you gave both octopath traveler and bravely default sequels this game deserves one as well.
I was waiting umpatiently for this one, bro. Thanks a lot!
I've been checking for this every day. Psyched to finally see it on CZcams!
Easily best OST i've heard in a game in a long long time.
This game and soundtrack are so incredible.
Every time I heard yearning for freedom playing through the game I get goosebumps and tear up. Absolutely amazing game and music
Resolute Heart 1:42:53 !
It's unbelievably good 👍
52 is so cool. i can feel how Benedict faces his hardships
1:39:38 the hierophant palace track is perfect for its theme. A violin solo with so much soul, it sounds evil but at the same time you cannot avoid but admire it because it is so pretty.
This soundtrack is a masterpiece!
3:39:08
Fantastic OST! I wasn't a huge fan from the first demo, but hearing the tracks in the full game just work so well. So many good tracks, I can't even pick which ones I like the most.
What a fantastic soundtrack, I loved this game it was so good.
57:30 is sounds sooo good
Unwavering Spear is my personal favorite. Combat - March 2 is probably second, and third is Arise, Warriors. I love myself a good battle prep theme.
Thank you, finally found my favorite song #31, this game was awesome I don't normally like strategy rpg's but I loved this one, took me 103 hours to finish half the time I spent grinding levels had my team in the 30's had Anna at level 48 and had Serenoa at level 50, I got Benedict's ending and watched the other endings on you tube cuz it will be a while before I play through this game again, but definitely recommend this game 😁
0:22:22 - 1.09 Arise, Warriors probably is the track that we hear the most, but everytime I goes into the battle prep scene I still feel my adrenaline pumping. What an amazing track!
This Score is outstanding...

This entire soundtrack is nothing short of incredible. It even rivals the work of Miki Higashino for the Suikoden series. The level of ingenuity and craftsmanship is spectacular.
He who is Lord is my fav. I've had a bad time during the playthrough, this track immediately throws me back into my despair. Its great... and sad.
Great game and fantastic soundtrack by Akira Senju!
THEY GOT THE FUCKING FMAB COMPOSER???? FOR A VIDEO GAME????? WHAT????
Praise be to whoever thought of hiring him
The battle music at 3:57:26 always gets me grooving!
