- In this weeks episode of the Wide Awake Podcast, I had the pleasure of speaking with Russ Cook, an extreme athlete widely known as Britain's Hardest Geezer. During our conversation, Russ shared how running helped him overcome a difficult period in his life. In recent years, he has transformed into a superhuman athlete and achieved remarkable feats. For instance, he made history by completing a 71-marathon journey from Asia to London in just 66 days. Additionally, Russ holds the world record for the fastest marathon while pulling a car and even survived being buried alive for an astonishing seven days. Russ is now gearing up to take on his most grueling challenge yet - becoming the first person to run across Africa, covering a distance of 15,000km, which equates to 360 marathons in just 240 days.

You're an interesting guest and we love our young Josh.
Great show Josh! This guy is a living legend.
Oh no, what happened to the previous podcast setup? The chairs and all looked so good!!
Hey, making a bit of a change! The chairs were nice and super comfortable but they weren’t great when it comes to the placement of the microphones for guests and they are also very big in the studio! I’ve ordered a new table and new chairs so the studio will be updated soon! 😂
This was awesome..
That's my cousin from the Uk 😎❤️Mr Cook 🙌🏼

I hope gift of the givers don’t have to go get him. He needs to be safe and very aware of where he is and have an escape plan.
My advice is always have $100 US on him. A hundred dollars can save your life in 3rd world countries. Good luck mate. Respect
Spoiler: he did it.
Indeed he did 😂
Josh, if you are looking for a challenge, I will train you to swim Robben Island.
Josh when you're pushing those weights you tell yourself it's not pain, it's burn. You'll be surprised.
Chasing down top 4 in premier League 😅
