Thank you for all the comments posted about this tune. The young pipers worked very hard on this piece the oldest piper was 16 and the youngest was 10 at the time of posting. In 2012 this group of pipers competed in the 2012 World Bagpipe Championship in Glasgow. They won the Novice Juvenile Grade and were named 2012 World Champions. All comments are appreciated. They plan to return to the World in 2015 and compete again as Grade 3. Wish them luck. Cheers, Gavin W. Murdoch, Band Manager SGPB.
gwwoodworth thay did you proud too but why the dislikes perhaps don't has kids of their own to be proud of ? 🐺💕👌was the other lad playing a didgeridoo?
Thank you all for the great feed back on this tune. On August 11th 2012 this band will be competing in the World Championships in Glasgow Scotland. Wish them well.

I'm floored. So great to see young people perform like this on a beautiful but physically demanding instrument. Well done to the teachers too! Worthy of all that hard work and practice.
Brilliant...just brilliant. I love to see the nerves and focus that these pipers display. Stunning performance and thank you for being part of the next generation of great pipers.
Beautiful! I have loved this tune for 13 years and just want to commend you on a brilliant and beautiful rendition. You absolutely nailed it! Slainte! Mark Ouellette (NHP&D band)
Very nice to see the Kids playing that well. Excellent work getting them to play together . Tune is lovely, ideal for a solo. Don't suppose I could have the sheet music as well?? I would like that in my Repertoire.
well I love it young people playing to give people pleasure that is what piping means to me. Sadly nowadays its all about the competition side the days of pleasure piping seem to be diminishing.
I must be getting old. The tune is in the book. It was Thunderstruck I was looking for that is not in it. I'll be watching to see if you can pull that one off. I just sent this to our PM for him to work it into our arrangements. thanks for putting it our there in your own setting.
MrInspiration: The name of the tune is The Sleeping Tune. Please send me your Email address and I'll send you the music for this. The band is all youths ages 9-18. They were the Northeast United States Grade 5 Champions for 2010. They are now competing in 2011 as a Grade 4 and have finished in 1st and 2nd in this years competition. Cheers, Gavin
warning, professional grader below. yes mistakes, but I can attest, I am a 4 1/2 year long bagpiper, and I am only 14, so... I can under stand here how the younger ones were challenged, grant it I learned 20 songs in 3 months, but still.
