Wow the full UTMB, i'm sure you will be more than ready by then judging by your recent performances in your 100ks! Sounds sensible to take time off after that race though, 100 miles is incredible!! I wish you another awesome year, if its anything like that past 2 years you'll fly!
Thanks for the support as always Andy! Haha yeah I think the body’ll thank me for taking some down time after UTMB. Looking forward to a new challenge. Best of luck with your goals this year too!
Hope to see you at Lavaredo! I've got 12 weeks to get from 0 running in the last 2 months, due to torn ankle ligaments, to rehab ankle and get race ready... not much chance of me getting there over cooked, especially as winter is fast approaching here in Queenstown :-D
Youre are a true inspiration! I am currently attempting the world marathon majors (4/6). I would love to do a ultra after I’m done. You should try the LEADVILLE TRAIL 100 RUN in August (Leadville, CO, USA). I hear it’s a very tough race but your my role model who can do it. Take a look and hope its something you’d do! Denver, CO, USA.
Hey Harry! You should check out a really beautiful race here in norway called Stranda Fjord Trail Race, its 48kilometers and 3850m elevation. Very beautiful. This year is a special edition, earlier its been shorter. :D
UTMB. Huge. Exciting. :) I look forward to following your videos this year, Harry. Congratulations on an awesome year last year. About UTCT, it would be great if you did it. There's a CZcams video of last year's women's race and it looked fab - it some ways similar to the Hong Kong 100. You would like it, I think. 👍
Ah class man,the two brothers and me(ricki) are gonna be doin laverdo ultra so hopefully get to shake your hand 🖐..big fans man ..great channel and great advice 👍🏻
Hello Harry, many thanks for your videos, and wonderful inspiration! My goal for 2019 is the Paris marathon, and then the local ultra "end of the world" trail on July 7th, in Brittany. 57k, maybe something you'd like to check out before the Utmb.
Yeah right on, time to step up to the miler. You'll love it. It's definitely a different category from a 100k and both pacing and patience will be important but you'll nail it.
Amazing Harry! I will be following you all the way again this year. When you come home you should come down to Swansea and run some trails around Gower. I’ll try and join you for a run 🤣🏴
Thanks Tom! I’m flying back to Wales tonight for a couple of weeks. Need to get plenty of mountain training in so hoping to make it up to Snowdonia, but might make it to the Gower too 👍
I'll be at Laverado for the Cortina trail the day prior, have to catch up and have a smoothie or hit some trails before. Depending of the timing, i'd be happy to try film and get some footage for you. Peace
Check out the Marine Corps 50k. It's the last weekend in October in Washington DC (USA). Registration for this year is closed but there's always next year!
My main goal for 2019 is trying to win my local ultra (53K), and maybe try to go under 4 hours (comparing to other ultras it is quite flat) and try to improve time on 20miler in July (last year I had 2:10, and this I will try to go sub 2:05) and in autumn I will work on my speed, and probably stick to short races, mainly 5-10k. So, maybe in the future I will get better at ultras too :P
Check out the Margeret River Ultra 80k in Western Australia. Mostly runs along the beautiful Cape to Cape trail. It's a UTMB qualifying race on May 4th. See you there!
@@HarryRunsUK Wow, that's crazy that you are here right now. I've been to Chiang Mai a couple of times too. Perhaps one day we (My wife and I both run) could tag along for a run in one of our locations?!
Get yourself out on the SDW50 at the beginning of April for a fast blast out (for your level anyhow). I think Tom Evan's set the course record there last year on route to his win at CCC.
I'm going to run here in April: biegiwszczawnicy.pl/en/. Registration is already closed, but I think they will be more than happy to sign you up if you would like to run there.
Hi Harry, would be cool to have you in Cape Town! The UTCT 100k is a really scenic race with some decent gain, 4300m . If you make it down give us a shout at www.ultrarunningsa.co.za for a quick chat. Cheers Bru

I’m racing 110km the weekend after so won’t work out this year. Would love to check it out someday though!
Ahh, I must have got the dates mixed up when I looked at the race you mentioned.
Maurice Mullins 51 km end of March Wicklow Ireland :)
Harry, How often do you do mobility, hip or conditioning sessions?
Haricana ultra in quebec!
Don’t think I’ll be ready to race again a week after UTMB! But it’s a race I’d love to check out someday.
That is a busy year. I understand it's not your thing but have you run Comrades in South Africa? If so, your thoughts?
I haven’t but would love to someday.
We missed you Harry! Why so little youtube now? Would love to have you as live guest on my show 👍🏼
It’s been difficult to fit it in between coaching and training since I’ve stepped up to the more competitive races. Got a few videos lined up though!
@@HarryRunsUK super!
Are there any 50k races in the UK that you could fit in?
Possibly. I’ll be spending a lot of the year training and racing in Europe, but I’d love to race in the UK again soon so I’ll consider it for sure.

Sounds awesome, for sure I’ll let you know if I make it down.
How do you finance all of this?

I’m a sponsored athlete but work full-time as a running coach too.
