Honestly, it's such a good fit it's insane. There's some guys that are better suited for number 1 option, some as number 2s, some as number 3s. In this case, Dame used to be forcing himself as a number 1 and Middleton was forcing himself as a number 2. We saw what peak number 1 option dame can do, getting swept in the wcf is his greatest achievement. But they don't need to do that no more, they can sit as their natural positions.
Other guys that I'd describe that way are guys like Jimmy butler, Jason Tatum, siakam. These are number 1 options that would be much better suited for number 2 options, or in siakam's case maybe even as a number 3 option
The Bucks are out for blood. It's tough to see Jrue Holiday go because he's one of the main reasons why they won it all in 2021, but he's been talking retirement and they needed someone to fill that void. Well, they found it. Dame now gets his shot at winning that elusive championship he so wanted to capture in Portland. (Thank the Golden State Empire for not letting him get it) I think a lot of people are sleeping on the depth this team has around Dame, Giannis, Khris, and Brook Lopez. Jae Crowder should have a much bigger role than last year, Pat Connaughton is still around and can be effective, Bobby Portis is in his prime, Malik Beasley is an underrated signing, and their young guns in AJ Green and Marjon Beauchamp should get much more playing time this year. The only concern right now is Father Time and how will Adrian Griffin adapt? (Luckily his top assistant is Dame's old head coach) But right now the Bucks are looking to make their case as the next dynasty in the NBA.

Every trade has a price. Every trade carries a risk. But what you have here is management that is willing to make an investment to win while they have the chance. You cannot ask for more. Giannis and Lillard now have the keys and the car.
If Giannis inspires Dame the way he inspires everybody else, can you imagine how DEADLY a motivated Damian Lillard would be?

As long as they stay healthy and locked in with no nonsense and no BS, they can win it all. One of the most clutch PG ever and a former MVP DPOY freak of nature, together they'll make a great duo. I hope they make us remember Kobe and Shaq with their play.
The only (current) problem the Bucks have is depth but they should be able to snag some good pieces on the buy-out market eventually.
