Its incredible. So slept on and imo great additions to a competitive deck build
Roaring Moon EX, Iron Hands EX, earthen vessel, and probably some others will all be very viable in TCG meta. Many are saying Roaring Moon is #1 on tier list immediately. Cool set overall!

That Golisipod card is sick, decent hits. I am loving the Ancient & Future cards, reminds me of XY ancient traits style a bit. It does look a fun set with a few cards worth collecting but nothing crazy.
I think it's an amazing set, 151 was a good nostalgia hit, but I think this is the best Scarlet and Violet set at this point. So many nice artworks and playable cards. I wasn't fussed about obsidian flames, I think that's the weakest SV set so far, even if some of the art rares are nice. I think a problem for some collectors is they've not played the games so don't have a connection to the Pokemon. I've heard people commenting on print quality as well, but from Vivid Voltage onwards it's pretty much been the same in terms of print quality
Super valid points and I know you mentioned in my whatnot how playable some cards are too! I personally think though for an ‘investment’ obsidian and 151 are better choices really but obsidian is only just better by a tiny bit
@Mattculli very true, like you've mentioned, Charizard sets tend to do well, even though quite often the sets are weaker (Obsidian Flames, Burning Shadows and Darkness Ablaze to a lesser extent as that's just got a standard Vmax). Scarcity is probably the biggest factor though, Rebel Clash is one of the more expensive SWSH sets for a sealed box, but it's probably the worst set
If I had to choose it’d be the Iron Bundle Future, but low key prefer the ancient cards as a whole
I feel this is the best common cardart work so far..and then the galleries..some big pokemon with big art work..all round loving it secretly

I opened 1 etb and got bombirdier ex and tserena ex... I haven't pulled anything above a standard ex or ir since the start of sv & I bought the etb for every set. Im just going to buy the cards I want from eBay now and quit opening packs bc I never get anything good... $200 now spent on garbage ex cards 😐
Bro that's what I was thinking of doing as well lol. I, like most of us was a poke freak growing up decided to get back into it with my kids I bought 2 booster boxes 2 sets of ebts I spent some money not just on that on alot of packs lol I have a poke addiction so I was looking at the singles that appeal to me and it's a lot cheaper lol. I pulled some good but not enough to buy like I'm buying I totally agree with you.

I’m doing a 151 English and Japanese binder and Obsidian Flames. Paradox Rift doesn’t really do it for me.
151 is a great shout to collect bud the OG Pokemon will always be popular
Thinking obsidian flames is a better set is a wild take for me. S&V rankings for me...151/paradox/paldea and then the other two way behind. Obsidian is another darkness ablaze and base is pretty boring. Paldea has loads of great arts, magikarp, raichu etc and the Iono chase card. Guess I'm not a charizard obsessive (I find the whole thing strange, mind you I was a squirtle starter in the original games). In this set the Groudon is a great card, Roaring moon looks great too. Even cards like the Toedscruel and Espathra look amazing.
You make some really good point but a charizard can’t be over looked…the most valuable cards as a whole are usually charizards as many people are basic like me 😂 zard are thought of as a money card and always will be
If you look back through all eras a set with a zard is normally a valuable booster box to buy
Not saying this is right but just seems to be the way it goes even if the set is crap lol

Agree. I doubt something will hit over 151 in this era
PR is growing on me, some lovely artworks but SV hasn't felt that special yet. I actually like SV1 the most. 151 is in its own league however. I wish they'd just print a little less so it's collectible and stop printing such washed-out lame standard EX cards. Why can't they match Japanese quality?
Japanese quality is top tier 👌
Cases are cheap. Wont last. Great for sealed hodlers
