    If your fanatec was turning left, it makes sense that a wheel that's perfectly straight feels like it would be turning right because you're used to it.
    Don't need to worry about the wireless connection with simagic, I've never heard of any issues, nor have I ever had any connection issues in the years I've been driving with it.

      In a Boosted Media review of the Alpha bases Will said he will calibrate the wheel with a slight tilt to avoid it being slightly off center in the actual games. It could be a minor issue.

    The fact jardier is using 70% of the 23nm base and making it look easy is absolutely hilarious. Dude is just strong. He makes it look like others using an 8nm base.
    Also remember simagic picks up on the ungulations on track other bases don't.

    • @paulordbm
      @paulordbm Před měsícem

      @@Benedict00_ItchyManko I got the Alpha Mini. The road texture and fine details feel very similar to the Fanatec GT DD Pro, but of course they're more pronounced. The software has a "force feedback frequency" slider that upsamples the FFB signal from the game, which makes a huge difference for iRacing where it feels like using iRFFB but with the math done at the driver level it has very low delay. So small details feel very smooth in the Mini compared to the Fanatec base where it felt like driving a kart over stones. The rumble strips feel much stronger in the Mini, so much so that it seems like my rig will disintegrate as it's very loud. I find it easier to understand what the rear is doing due to the extra force as well so I find myself rarely ever spinning the car. Overall extremely happy with the move to Simagic and cannot recommend enough.

    I purchased a Fanatec DD1 in November of 2021!
    Its 2024 and im still learning how making micro adjustments to all the tuning options changes the driving experience!
    For a $1,200 wheel base and $369 wheel im happy. My only issue was the USB port failing.
    Unfortunately Fanatec's customers service is horrible. What was awesome was finding the rear Cap w/PCB board for sale on Ebay for $100.
    Swapped it out with the broken 1, updated the firmware and its been better then ever!
    I was very tempted to buy a Simucube or Sim magic cause i loved the look of the neo wheel. But i couldn't justify buying everything again and the mounting needed for my cockpit.
    Ive taken apart a DD1 and I must admit, its extremely well designed and very easy to swap parts if something breaks.

    I feel ACC is one of the games that really really benefits from higher end wheelbases. I was enjoying the game with my CSL DD 8Nm, but when I swapped to the Asetek Invicta wheelbase it was a proper gamechanger. There is so much detail there that was just not noticable previously, really subtle cues that allow me to drive harder and more consistently as I can feel when the car is getting out of shape in a way that I couldn't with the CSL DD.
    Regular Assetto Corsa on the other hand has much more "obvious" force feedback, and the difference is not that noticable. The Invicta is still better, but not as dramatic as I felt it was with ACC.

    Fanatec have this annoying issue that because of the magnets placement in the base wheel by itself to not wanna stay at the center, but turn itself like 2-5 degress (fanatec control panel) and in my case it is 3-4 degress left.
    CSL DD and clubsport DD have this issue, so im quite sure DD1/DD2 have the same. I do not use strong FFB, so if lets say I do not hold my wheel at the straight because I wanna do or grab something my car just turns to the left
    So my question is.... How does it look for the simagic?
    20:20 maybe this is the same issue? Open the software and check if the wheel stays at the middle 0 degress or turns to the right or left by itself.

    I take everything i daid back jardier the simagic may be the best base ive ever used and thats including simucube. There is a feel now that simagic has updated there bases that is unmatched. There is a perfect feeling to get whatever you want out of it. Wow its good im shocked. Even better then my dd+ yes I just didnt have the settings right and ready i didnt have the latest update haha.
    Guys if you ever get a chance forget everything else ive owned simucube on loan, i own the dd+ i own a 15nl alpha and just got the ultimate holy crap the simagic bases now idk what they have done but they are now buttery smooth, snappy with insane details so much details i had to turn them down which meansbit gets more then my dd+ starting to realixe boosted media sucks with settings on bases. Starting to think peoppe shoupd stop listening to people like that who clearly dont understand how detail works with simagic. Then you go talk to race matters hes been sim racing for 15 years and he chose simagic over his simucube he was shocked. It seems like the same thing with everyone who tried it. Its always omg it blew my expectations away and i def get it. These things sre next level good now with the recent software and newest revision. If people dont know they are oj there 3rd revision. The 3rd one happened in 2023 so reviews before that or units before that dont really tell you about how good they are now.

    Jardier i figured out the settings due to hepp from race beyond matters! Hes been sim racing for 15 years and has his ultimate dialed in to his simucube level.
    So where it says max torque and them ffb. Leave the max torque at 23nm but turn the ffb top left slider in the software down to 60 to 70%! Then adjust in game how you like. This alloes for the ffb signals to come through and not clip but get towards the edge of doing so where the most detail is at!
    Then turn smoothness down to 1 and interpelation to like 4 or 5. This allows for less noise yet also tons of details. As he stated would rather have details and speed then reduce noise all the way and hurt it. But yeah go do this you wiko not regret it! Enjoy its an insane wheel once you dial it in also make sure you are on the latest software@
    I really hope you see this the 60%-70% ffb will help you so much the little details that pop this way are shocking. Again leave max torque at 23nm on the top right snd then top left slider turn the ffb down to 60-70% do not use 100% as many of the signals come through and are clipping through the base itself. This is game changing.

      @ArchOfficial Před měsícem

      The Force Feedback slider is a linear gain. It makes no difference if you have it at 1% and the sim at 10000% or both at 100%.
      Smoothness is a low pass. It needs to be set per-car and per-track because all it does is filters bumps.
      Interpolation always 0. It introduces latency and noise. Maybe okay to use 1 or 2 in iR.

    is ACC with a G920 going to give me a realistic feel of GT3 cars and how they handle and feel?

    • @texnorthman
      @texnorthman Před 2 měsíci +1

      You are still getting the right feedback, just slower and less precisely, so most of what you learn with a G920 will translate to better wheelbases if you choose to update later :) The only exception is drifting, where a G920 has to be actively counter steered because of the slow response, where as in real drifting or with direct drive wheelbases you can let the force feedback do most of the work for you.
      So, yeah, not realistic as it is too slow and too weak, but still perfectly possible to have fun with and be fast with. If you have a choice, go for the T300 instead of a G920. Or better yet, an entry level DD setup.

    • @ns_racing
      @ns_racing Před 2 měsíci

      No not even close honestly. You will get some detail and force but nowhere close to a direct drive base. You can still run fast laps with them thought ffb and detail isn't everything

    • @ArchOfficial
      @ArchOfficial Před měsícem

      No, the G920 outputs roughly 2Nm torque, GT3 cars should be somewhere around roadcar levels, so maybe 6-7 max.
      ACC's GT3 car models (and every other sim) are not very accurate, so they won't drive correctly anyway.
      Logitech G wheels are fine beginner wheels if you can get them for the right price, but they're not simulation gear.

    I've been an IT professional for 30 years, deaf and use a cochlear implant. There's no magic, wireless connections have lag, that's why my devices are wired to the network and not to Wi-Fi, the steering wheel is wired and the cochlear implant is connected to the PC via cable and not via Bluetooth because you can hear that there's a delay .
