How to Crochet Simple Socks, Free Crochet Pattern and Video Tutorial, The Good Moss Yarn Giveaway

    The Good Moss 100% superwash merino, 2-ply, about 400 yards
    Crochet hooks size E (3.5 mm) and D (3.25 mm).

    I kept going back to ❇️Gothic Bouquet ❇️ very dramatic with the boldness of colors. 👍 Malachite was another I liked and I must say they're all so beautiful. 🌺🌻

    Hello sister. I have an idea which might help you in joining the rows without getting that particular line.. you don't need to join the end of every row by a slip stitch but after you complete a row just try continuing the sc to the next row then you wont find that line...try it and see, hope this might help you. sorry if i am wrong. and again thank you for the pattern.

      I did that and it works. Just use a stitch marker to keep up with the rows.

    I started this year off thinking I would give it my all & start my own channel as well. But I have had a set back due to my husbands health. He is getting better day by day.       This has been a very challenging year for many people. I too made a lot of handmade gifts this year, and I also make things for myself, which help to save a bit of money. For example, I make myself socks from whatever yarn I have. I had some old cotton yarn, so I made dishcloth instead of buying sponges.

    Love the pattern and video. You are very good at explaining. I have a question?.. What if my gauge turn out to be to big, it is 3,2 inches. Can I skip round 9 and 8? my yarn is slightly thicker.

    Hello Olga this is my first pair of socks that I am trying to make. In the video, you say to go into the same stitch that you joined the row, but in the written instructions you say do not go into the same stictch! Please explain which is correct. Thank you in advance.

      Start the same way, but don't make all the increases. The best would be if you could try it on the child's foot while crocheting, so you can see if you have made enough increases and when to start crocheting straight (without increases).

      @@STate-lt8xq Basically, you crochet around without joining the round. You will need a stitch marker to mark the beginning of each round.

      so what I'm doing there is making one front post double crochet, then one regular double crochet, then again one front post double crochet, one regular double crochet, and so on.

      Hi, so in my sock I stopped making increases in round 9. After round 9 I simply made a single crochet into each single crochet. To make your sock bigger and wider, after round 9 make additional rounds with increases, then continue crocheting without increases.
      I hope this helps or at least gives a general idea how to do it.

    I only did up to round 8 on the rounds at the beginning of the pattern. 36 stitches. 48 was to big for me. How many stitches should I do for the heel??

      After Round 9, don't make any increases, simply crochet one single crochet into each single crochet.

    I'm trying to print a copy of your pattern but it's a pdf and it's just sending the link.
    Is there a way to get a written copy of the easy sock pattern?

      I guess the only way would be to copy and paste the pattern into some program like Microsoft Words or MacBook Pages, and then print it out from there.
