This was great. I have a Cannon gun safe I could not open. Thanks to this video, I found the middle number drifted down by one number. Got it on the first try.

I had that happen, sort of, with my Amsec/S&G combo lock. Was hard to get open for a while, but seems to be back to the original, now. Noticed it, after I moved.

That’s interesting. I assume they do not make the locks themselves and buy those from another supplier. If so , I suspect that many of the safe companies so it may be safe to assume the same would hold true for multiple safe manufacturers and a good to know about video
Yes, Sargent and greenleaf is probably the most widely used dial safe combo used across multiple companies and 100% can happen. This video isn’t helpful until it happens to you ;)... I wish there was a video like this when it happened to me = why I made the video.
What do you do if the dial housing starts to move/comes loose? How do you take it apart to tighten it back up to the door of the safe? That's the situation I have, trying to fix; the dial and the dial housing/shield can slide around a little on the face of the safe's door. I think it is from years of hard spinning to reset to lock (before I knew you shouldn't spin them hard and fast). Thanks for any help!
