Very pretty bird. Great idea on the string of peanuts.
Absolutely Charming.
Thank you 😊
Thanks for the great video. Very practical! What's the English name for the metal you used to mount the branch? I'm checking if I can find something similar :)
My pleasure, I'm glad it was helpful 🙏😊 It's a metal parasol holder / ground pin 😁
@@theladygardener thanks a lot! :)
Thanks for the interesting video. How do you keep squirrels or other animals from getting at the food?
You're very welcome. Unfortunately I do not have squirrels in my garden, but otherwise I would make some feeders for them with peanuts and other nuts.
Hello, how do you prevent any preying birds like hawks attacking to the birds in your backyard?
The birdfeeder is very close to tge house and so far I haven't seen any birds of prey yet near the house.
It's currently -8°C outside. The fat blocks I put on my balcony are being inhaled as we speak, and we don't even have all that many birds visiting the feeders. Two blue tits, five great tits, one black redstart and at least one robin. You can really tell they need the fat in this cold. And if they just ate peacefully together instead of chasing each other away from the food, they wouldn't waste so much energy... Silly little buggers.
How wonderful that you have so many birds coming to feed on the fat blocks and bird feeders. Over here it is -5C and it is quite busy with the birds as well. The smaller bird get along well, but when the jackdaws come they chase everyone away
Birds are amazing--just another reason for me to not eat eggs (as I have a family history of Cancer the choline in eggs is the other). Great video--thank you
Thank you so much, I'm glad you like the video 😊🙏
