That's actually a detail I totally forgot in this game. When Heather is crying in Harry's lap, her jacket is stained with his blood for the rest of the game.
Or how they purposely obscure his face so it's never fully seen, even though this is his one and only appearance as a higher rez model.
(Well his face is SUPPOSED to be obscured, but the PC version messes up a lot of intentional cropping :/ )

I love how you can tell when vinny is getting spooped cause he gets real quiet
An incredibly subtle detail I love in the game is the opening monster fight. You can tell Heather is completely inexperienced with a handgun. Not only does she scream after firing the first shot - likely from the shock of the loudness - but when she's out of ammo, she's pulling the gun back as though it were still firing. She anticipates the kick of the gun and is emulating it whether or not the gun actually fires, likely from the cheesy movies she enjoys.

Sadly at the very beginning section you already have full arsenal at your hands, so the representation of character inexperienced at shooting falls off when you already had them fire away at monsters. Its generally one of my biggest gripes with SH3. It goes too fast on things, unlike previous two games that had much more organic introduction to weaponry.
Also holding a semiautomatic with thumbs tucked behind it. It's a pretty common thing for people to do without instruction, until they get a thumb smacked.
@@DaxMarko To be fair, that's in a dream segment. You can do something in a dream based on what you *think* you know about it, not necessarily what it's actually like. That makes the scene of actually firing a gun and being surprised by it more impactful to me. In her mind, she's experienced with weaponry, until she actually had to use any.
@@CosmicWaltz7 I get that, its that to a player, they already seen a same character use a weapon so it doesn't become anything note-worthy. I'd personally prefer if she only had a pocket knife in dream sequence, would been more impactful too. Also to be honest, I thought her doing the recoil thing was just old game's cheesy animation.
The intro absolutely killed me loll but excellent timing on the video coming out the same day of the silent hill announcement
If today's Silent Hill news is disappointing, at least there's a Vinesauce video on Silent Hill 3.

Silent Hill 4 is the black sheep of the series, it’s not as controversial as the later games, but there’s some really strong things going for it that some people can see the charm of. Definitely really interesting with themes and imagery it has. Think it’d be a fun play.
I will die on SH4's hill. It was the first one I had played, and what it does well, it does very well.
Of course, it's not as good as 2, or even 3, but it's still good!
SH1, SH4, SH Origins, and SH Shattered Memories are all underrated. People only care about SH2 which is a shame.

Oh my goodness I remember being hyped outta my mind when the Fullsauce of this came out, I was in a dusty garage unpacking Halloween decorations and this was THE perfect thing to have on while untangling webs and plastic bloodied fingers.
Funny enough THIS comes out right when I’m done cleaning the basement for decorating, so I’m gonna have this on for this year’s decorating session as well tonight.

I do hope Vinny does try out sh4 or shattered memories someday

Also, the most loved Silent Hill games are indeed the first three, but 4, Origins, Homecoming, Shattered Memories and Downpour are pretty good too

It's actually quite enjoyable to see Beepboop being immersed in a game.
Silent Hill 4 is VERY underrated. It's saddening people say a lot of bad things about it, while in reality, it's simply a different take on the story, horror aspect and characters. In my opinion, SH4 has one of the best stories out of the entire series. People also say they really dislike the protag, being quiet and stiff, well lemme tell you this - it's intentional to make you feel like you're 3rd party accidently mixed in the sequence of events. In short, instead of focusing on main character, you focus on everybodys elses story, it's GENIUS and I'm really looking forward to you playing it.
I liked SH4. About the only thing I disliked about that one was the escort part even though the actual escort part was better than most games that have had it.

well it had great ideas and such but was so poorly put togheter gameplaywise and it really felt more like obscure than silent hill. no real scares or creepiness jsut okay i go kill some things in this fucked world

After having watched the streams of Vinny playing the first two games, I actually played this one on my own last year, and I don't think I ever watched Vinny's playthrough because of that, so it's nice to have this.

I genuinely enjoyed watching your playthrough of this. I grew to like Heather as a character especially her witty sarcasm and felt bad she lost her father. Also enjoyed the story, scary sounds, and the atmosphere with that standard Silent Hill creepy charm. Oh and It's bread, it's always bread. 🍞 *Unless it's a walnut.

2:20 you are correct, the one everyone ABSOLUTELY HATES is Homecoming, to which I say, you gotta look at it from the perspective from the revelation of the maim character, shich is why we have a reticle, dodge roll, melee combos, and random appearance of [REDACTED], to which I believe is the main character reminding himself of what could happen if he continues down this path of deception and ignorance (ultimate bad ending for game)

Out of all Silent Hill protagonists, I think Heather is my favorite by how much I relate to her, being a teenage girl who seems lost to my surroundings. Overall SH3 isn't my favorite, I do like it, but it has the best protagonist imo. Nice that Binyot is completing the series.
Shattered memories is the only silent hill I played start to end. Love those little monkeys that chase you.
