I must agree Sarah, the Brooklinen Mulberry silk pillow cases just make me want to lay my head down and go to sleep immediately!!! They look and sound so beautiful. A 22 momme and a 365 day trial period! I want to cover my pillows in these!

I didn’t realize there where so many different kind of silks out there. Good to know. I really like the Brooklinen mulberry silk, looks super comfy and i love that color. With my recent...hair dye incident (I dyed my hair black....and been trying to get it out of my hair which...yeah my hair is fried) I am in need of a new silk pillowcase so thank you for this review, the brooklinen LIFETIME warranty sounds awesome, the slp baby prints are soooooooo pretty and has a huge variety! And the price, so good. along with the awesome price of the myk silk, the parachute home ones are beautiful but the price....ouch heh. I think out of all of them I would get the brooklinen, because I would pay a bit more for the lifetime warranty PLUS the 365 trial. Thank you for this review!

I sleep on a very small, firm pillow that literally looks like a hot dog, or sausage, for those who don’t live in the US. It was sold as a novelty pillow and is the shape of a sausage roll, and as soon as I held it up to my head and cuddle it, I knew it would be perfect for sleeping. I had to find a unique pillow case for this, and a ‘travel size’ silk case works perfectly.

Hi! Was wondering if you could steer me in the right direction. I’m a heavy guy looking for a very firm mattress with Cooling affect (8+). I tried WinkBed Plus - amazing feel but not that cool. Tried Saatva HD - also amazing but not super cool. I’m learning about PCM Phase Changing Materials that the Titan has from BrooklynBedding (the Aura firm is still too soft for me). Can you recommend any plus size mattresses that have added cooling affect such as PCM? I can’t think of any other mattresses besides Titan and BeautyRest that offer PCM with plus size heavy people firmness versions. Thank you, id love to tell my viewers you helped me if that’s ok :)

i started paying attention more to my hygeine and pillows came up because we tend to sweat a lot at night and heard silk is the best.
I like the MYK Silk for the price but the SLPBABY floral is gorgeous. And, Brooklinen has a lifetime warranty!! Their price is higher but if you are good with the color, you have a long-term investment.
How do you wash the silk sheets or pillowcases? What temperature and please tell me what kind of laundry detergent? Can you use tide pods or is there a specific detergent for silk sheets and also for Egyptian cotton?

Is the Mulberry silk pillowcase conventional or peace silk? Bcos Ive read conventional silk is NOT cruelty free bcos they made it by also boiling the worms (before the worms leave the cocoon). But peace silk better choice is cruelty free.

Have you reviewed Blissy silk pillowcases?
I bought 4 Blissy standard pillowcases a few weeks ago and wow I am impressed. I actually sleep better as I no longer wake up in the night with hot-head to flip the pillow, I still do the odd time but not nearly as much. They are zippered and big enough for our gusseted down/feather pillows and they are very soft. they are the real deal.

Until I got my new bed in my new house, I had been using _satin_ pillowcases for years. They keep my hair looking nice :) I need to get some silk ones for my new pillows, but they're not cheap! Those SLPBABY pillowcases seem pretty affordable for silk, though, and they're gorgeous! I wonder if any of these brands ever have any promotions.

What are the washing recommendations for silk? Dry clean only? Special detergent?
Hi there. Well, wash care instructions can vary from brand to brand, and I highly recommend checking the wash care instructions as given by the brand itself. That said, the general rule of thumb is this: hand wash your silk pillowcase with cool water and a mild detergent (Ecosa, Le Blanc, and Woolite Gentle Cycle are all great options). Then, allow it to air-dry away from the sun!

I never new there were different types of silk and definitely didn't know there was something called momme (which I'm glad you pronounced because I would have pronounced it "mommy" by accident). I like the MYK SILK pillow cases because it has both cotton and silk to choose from with a flip...and the low price! Plus I'm not sure I'd enjoy silk every night so it's nice to have that fast option. Plus you mentioned they have many looks/patterns to choose from and that's nice also.
I use silk pillow cases and I am a man, cool in summer, comfortable in winter.

I have, yes! Never had the chance to test a Slip silk pillowcase yet, but I know they're made from mulberry silk (which is the best!).

How long does a silk pillowcase last?
Because they're so delicate, silk pillowcases don't usually last much longer than one year. A lot depends on the quality of the silk, though, and my mulberry silk pillowcase is still going strong after about 8 months of use :)

Silk Pillow case is so expensive. I think everybody should try buying a big piece of Mulberry silk, cut it up (GOOGLE search "Mulberry silk fabric" it is so so cheap), than use the waterproof fabric glue to put it together. You can even customize whatever size you want to fit your current pillow. I don't think it is hard to glue two side of silk together. Don't you guys think so??? If you guys are too lazy to glue it together. Just wrap your pillow with big piece of Mulberry silk. Believe me, 6 feet of 100% Mulberry Silk still much much cheaper than your one Silk Pillow case. Problem is solved..........
$69 for a 16.5 momme? I can get a better one on Amazon.
