I have done auto body for 45 years and can not believe how difficult they can make something that should be so simple. Black screws from the front would never be seen and easy to remove.
To Tactical Advisor . Thank you Sir for your tutorial on removing a grill from a 2014 GMC SIERRA 1500. I was ablee to install a industrial claxon horn to the truck and plan on some LED strobes next year. Doug Fortner, East Central Missouri
Great video! This will be useful when I put my red painted grill and bumpers on since red is the only colour that you can't get the painted bumpers in!
So I used this video to remove the grill off my 2018 Denali so it might be different, but...on that lower trim under each headlight be forewarned it's not coming off without snapping off several of the tabs that hold it in place and since that piece requires removing a bunch of others to replace them on each side I guess I'm going to have to use a small black headed screw on each side to now hold that trim in place. Thanks GM! Also on those 4 tabs up under the truck you are pushing up with one hand and pushing with the other...there are 3 push pins up under there you'll need to remove first before that will push out, they are up there underneath by the tabs. Like many utube videos, this doesn't quite give you the bad with the good.
Worked great for me on my 2018 Sierra. Broke a few clips on the sides of the bottom plastic piece, but seems to stay on the truck fine. Be extra careful with this piece, part of the plastic wheel well trim put a small scratch on this fascia
Outstanding!! I would have broken soooo many things without this video! I did remove a few more wheel trim screws so the molding has more freedom to move. Super helpful video for sure!!
Great detail in your video. I need to replace the radiator shutter assembly on my truck and I watched a video of a guy replacing on a Chevrolet, but removing the grill is different on a GMC. Your video is what I needed. I noticed you don't have a radiator shutter assembly on your truck, did you take it off? Thanks, Dan
@@TacticalAdvisor I’ve been out here for over an hour finally got it off thanks to your video! Been trying to get to the horn connector to clean it and hope fixes my horn

Thank you so much! This walk through was awesome and it saved me $700.
I am glad it was helpful!

This is for 14/15 trucks not 16+ lol

Taking Off91 you're welcome! Hopefully it helped
I have a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 I wanted to see if I could replace the front end with the 2016-2018 GMC Sierra 1500, will it just bolt on?
Thanks! Easy to follow
'Thank you for the video'👍🏼
Youre welcome
Awesome video!!! New subscriber. Thanks a lot.
Thank you!
Perfect.....Big help there sir
I am glad it helped! It's an annoying process

What was the actual labor time to remove?
Same process with Denali version?
Thank you!!
Will this work the same way on a 2017 Acadia?
Jacebecca Webber I'm not sure. I don't own a newer Acadia.
would this also work on a 2017 gmc sierra? I think they have the same grills
Robbie Carcich yes it is the same process for the 2017
awesome thank you so much
You are welcome!
Robbie Carcich from outside it's the same but inside there is another automatic grill and i think it will not work

Thank you. That year did not have the shutters for some reason. My 18 and 20 both have them though.
Interesting, my father has 2015, I'll have to check his out. Thanks again.
Nice tutorial. What were the things you were removing?
klutch14u LED pods
Damn bro, no grille shutters?! That’s why I’m doing mine lol
This truck didnt have them for some reason. I had them in the 18 and 20 though.
A ridiculous amount of work to take the dang grille out! Never had a vehicle so hard to remove the grille I swear
I agree. It is frustrating when you want to do something simple with these newer vehicles
@@TacticalAdvisor I’ve been out here for over an hour finally got it off thanks to your video! Been trying to get to the horn connector to clean it and hope fixes my horn
@Jordan Parker I am glad the video helped. I hope you are able to fix your problem 🤙
@@TacticalAdvisor thanks man
You dint have the grill shutters ?
Not on this one. My 18 does.
Tactical Advisor do you know is there away to take them off to put a light bar ?
@@victoralvarez4852 I do not. I havent tore into this one. Id imagine there is but I doubt itll be easy.
And I was thinking of putting in a 2018 sierra Denali grill on my truck... no thanks I know for a fact I will break shit
adrian haha yeah its a long process. Not worth it if you dont have to
I just bought a 2017 SLT but love the Denali grille better so I was thinking of doing the same thing.....I'll still think about it.
Jesus Christ GM? Must everything be a goddamned federal case to remove/replace shit?
I agree, I miss my 03s that I would take off with a simple tug lol
😮😮
The heardest part is pulling of the uper bumper and you Gloss right over it! Smh
Thanks for the video, could've saved yourself 30 mins by using a Nut Driver though!!
You're welcome. Definitely would have helped
He doesn't say what size any of the sockets are 🧐 7mm on the plastic fender flairs. Other than that he did a good job.
Dude gives no sizes loo
No thanks
It is a process
Same for 2500?
