Views of Netherfield Lagoons and Colwick Sidings in 1986

Recorded 32 years ago this is a short video I made with my mate around the old Colwick Sidings and Towards the River Trent, passing by the Netherfied Lagoons.
The sidings are now the site of an industrial estate, retail park and supermarket and is known as Victoria Retail Park.

Trent bait supplies....maggot factory. Two parallel pipes on the bridge at the start..one is slurry from the Colliery’s Clarification plant and the other is clean water pumped to it from the Trent. 3 miles on concrete stands, some of it still in situ.

I lived just over the hump back bridge on Chandos Street that was flmed, i was 13 back then walked my dog and used to hang out all around there with my mates :)

I grew up in Netherfield in the 90's, Me and the kids on our old road We used to walk the old gedling line every now and again. Theyve only just ripped up the disused track.
