I am a designer/video director in Nashville, Tennessee who has been fascinated by the Appalachian Trail and the people who hike it. What started out to be my own journey to experience the trail became an exploration of the people who do it.

REI has played a big part, too. We have taken apart my pack so many times, trying to lessen the weight of 55 pounds... cameras and drones weigh too much. But they tried and most of my gear came from there.
