In the previous video I gave this truck a clean and had a look over it to see what parts were needed. Parts now fitted, I attempted to start it up for the first time. The good news is, the engine has good compression and appears to run. But, I noticed a new issue with the clutch. Coming up next I'll address that issue and see how it stands up to my bashing style!

You may have just helped me solve my problem with my virus 2. Same problem, starts well when raised, so pointing to a bad clutch. I will order one today and report back! Cheers, stay safe ✌🏼

Love the updated workshop! Your content is just great! Always picking up something new. I have an older Caster K8T and had it running nicely today with its upgraded tx/rx and a bunch of new parts (inc. a tank). Even learned how to glue tyres after one flew apart (age). Just tuning now and I’ll be revisiting your videos on that. Waiting for the rain to go away which is normally a UK problem? 😄🇦🇺

@@TheRCBiker so I'm on channel 1 but my throttle trim is messed up the carbs is fully open an Im.not to sure how to close it IV tried idle needle but won't fix it :( also how tight does the glow plug need to be in ?
loosen the clutch bell/ add a washer or a shim onto the crankshaft

Whats your biggest nitro buggy builds?
I've been watching your channel for some time now and its helped me out so much. I recently rebuilt my hpi g3.0 engine but it was really tight at TDC for some reason, I was afraid the piston was hitting the plug. It also wouldn't start up. So I tried again today following this video and she fired up! Lol the feeling nitro gives is really something.
I'll start it again and let it idle while I find the tune again, but I don't see much wear on the piston top, so should I be worried that its hitting? Its tight and makes a hitting sound, and I don't want to ruin this engine
Any advice will be appreciated 🙂
I doubt it's hitting anything it's most likely just got high compression and will loosen off after a few tanks. If you have fitted a new piston and liner you'll need to break it in again

Question mate when you brake a engine in ,? Does it have to be done in 1 session , (i mean 5 tanks in succession )or could you do 1 tank Monday ,2nd tank Tuesday 3rd Wednesday etc etc . And by Saturday your ready to go ?? Thanks mate great vids &info...

Can you cold start any engine I have trouble starting mine cold always have to heat the engine quite hot and can that damage or shorten engine life?
Pre heating is a good thing, it wont do any harm
I have a 1/8 scale nitro buggy and my hsn is unscrewing itself when i am driving it. Do you have any idea what i could do about this? Thanks
Yes, if you unscrew the needle all the way and remove it there is a little O ring , you need to replace it
