  • I hear a lot of people wondering wether the exercises they are doing in vision therapy are right for strabismus or lazy eye. They wonder if they are wasting their money or if they should just be patient and trust the doctor.
In this series, I'm going to explore some of the fundamental exercises that every person with strabismus or lazy eye should do at some point in their therapy process. This is, of course, just my opinion and your doctor knows much better than me so listen to them! But if you see something that sparks your interest, it never hurts to bring it up at your next appointment.

Greetings from germany - I was in vision therapy 6 months, but I just made very slow progress. But now I want to catch up and try it again because I saw some little changes thanks to vision therapy 🙌

After 2 years in VT I'm now at the 7 min. Mark. Double vision, really close but won't fuse.😊😊

Hey! Good to hear from you again. That is a great idea. My Mastering Peripheral has several, as you know. So many of the best ones are going to happen with the tools you'd only find in a vision therapy office (maybe you can access them?) You can get some in virtual reality as well. I will add this onto my list of ideas for future videos.

Hi, thanks for the video What do you know about pin hole glasses? Normally they are used for different things. but I think they can also be used for Strabismus. When I wear them, I feel my eye muscles working. Maybe if I wear them with a different tactic, it can correct my eyes.

Thanks for the great coaching session! I have been using DeoVR through Meta 3 looking at large 3d pictures (filmed with 2 cameras). Its been great, very stimulating similar to the quoit stretch in Equal Eyes. The images I am talking about compel participation of both eyes to stabilize the image effect. It feels like antisupression and depth exercise in one. It kinda locks in the 3d for lack of a better way tp say it.

This makes a lot of sense, thank you for the video. So how do we do this peripheral fusion? Especially those who can’t afford vision therapy?

My mastering peripheral course has 5 techniques and 10 exercises that help with peripheral fusion. learn.strabismussolutions.com/mastering-peripheral-vision To really get what this video is referring to, in-office VT is best they have tools with 3D TVs, VR and projected vectograms that provide the best opportunities for developing good peripheral fusion. If you go to strabismussolutions.com/findvt/ I can try to help you find an office, some even offer scholarships.

@@strabismustostereopsis7799 that’s so kind of you offering to help me find an office, but I’m all the way in Nigeria 😄. I’ll check your course out. Thank you 💕

Did you have a conversion problem or a divergence problem? It seems to me that most people doing vision therapy have a conversion problem. Mine is divergence. I have been doing vision therapy for 34 weeks now at an office 11\2 hours away. He is a dr trained with NORA. I still have double vision, it hasn’t changed at all and no neurological problems. My therapy ends at 39 weeks. Is this typical? So in other words I’ve wasted a lot of $$ with Syntonic light therapy and vision therapy. Thank you.

I have problems with both convergence and divergence, unfortunately. You would hope that after 39 session you would be seeing some sort of result. It's hard to know without all the details. I'd love to visit with you over zoom. app.acuityscheduling.com/schedule.php?owner=24182829

if surgeries were a solution to the problems of diseases, then no one would get sick after surgery. I hope that I'll find good doctor in USA ,who can help me with my strabismus without surgery . I faith that I can find . I found excellent doctor in Russia, but it is so far from my house .
